KYCNOT.ME is an open-source directory of privacy-friendly cryptocurrency services, actively maintained since 2020.

It helps users find alternatives for buying, exchanging, trading and using Bitcoin and Monero without unnecessary identity checks, while keeping the list curated and focused on real, usable services.

Why does this exist?

KYC (Know Your Customer) forces users to hand over personal information just to access financial tools. In practice, this means sending your ID, trusting third parties with sensitive data, and accepting the risk of leaks, hacks, freezes, or arbitrary restrictions.

Cryptocurrency was created to reduce dependence on centralized intermediaries. KYCnot.me exists to help users discover privacy-respecting services and make more informed choices.

How does it work?

Just visit kycnot.me and browse the listings.

You can filter services by:

• Type (exchange, VPN, VPS, shopping, email, eSIM, etc.)
• Verification status
• KYC level
• Supported currencies
• Network availability (clearnet / onion / I2P)
• Privacy and trust attributes

Each service page includes useful information such as:

• Description
• Supported currencies
• KYC level
• Privacy and trust attributes
• Privacy / Trust / Overall score
• Verification history
• Events and updates
• User reviews and comments
• AI-generated ToS review highlighting important terms and possible KYC-related clauses

Listing statuses

Services can have different statuses:

• Community Contributed - listed, but not reviewed by the KYCnot.me team yet
• Approved - passed limited checks on specific dates
• Verified - showed consistent behavior over time and passed repeated checks
• Scam - red flags, failed checks, or scam evidence found
• Archived - no longer active, kept for reference

Important: even Approved or Verified services are not a guarantee. Always do your own research.

Suggest a new service

Users can suggest new listings directly on the site.

To do so:

• Create an account: Generate account
• Submit a service suggestion here: Suggest a service

Accounts do not require personal information. A random username and login key are generated for you.

Once submitted, the suggestion gets its own tracking page so you can follow its progress and communicate with moderators.

Reviews and comments

Users can leave reviews and comments on service pages to share experiences, warnings, or useful information.

Comments are moderated, and affiliated users can also respond on their service pages.

Notes

The main list is intentionally curated and may move slowly. That is deliberate: quality matters more than quantity.

If you want to browse a wider set of services, you can also include Community Contributed listings in the filters, but be extra careful with those and do your own research.

Nice to see you finally registered and created account in Bitcointalk forum.
I have been using your website for months and I really liked old version, so I need some time for getting used to this new design.

Another decentralized exchange you can consider adding is Komodo wallet (old name/domain atomicdex.io).
I am not connected with this project in any way, just trying to spread information to people, and give them more non-kyc options.

Note that I think Kucoin exchange started to ask for mandatory KYC verification and I think you should consider removing it from your website.

I love the look of the new update, especially the UI. However, I noticed that the lists/log containing exchanges that have been delisted from the platform, when they were delisted and the reason they were delisted seems to be missing or is probably hard to find. Can you rectify this?

It's good that we can see the list of services that are pending listing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think these were visible in the old site.

If you go to the "Services" filter and then use the search bar, for example typing "VPN", "hosting", "sms" you will get all services filtered by that type. I could add a type filter, but I think the search bar is more powerful.

True, there's no way currently to see the delisted and reasons for delistings. I will add a `/delisted` list or something, so this is visible with all the information about the delisting. You can currently visit https://kycnot.me/audit to see database changes, but it will only show when the status of an exchange changes (i.e. status changes from "1" (listed) to "-1" (delisted)).

Magesticbank.is, Google Chrome and Firefox browsers say that the site is deceptive or not safe once you try to visit their clearnet link. I am not sure what happened because everything seemed ok sometime back. I am not sure if the link I visited back then was Magesticbank.is, Please check and see if the links didn't change.

First I thought there was something wrong with my Tor browsers, so I tried the same link in Brave-Tor browser with same results.
I can't find anything on their gitlab page, so maybe they shut it down.

I also don't understand why the request to fix is inactive (https://kycnot.me/request/fix). Could be an easier place to report such issues.

I have to say that kycnot.me is a very useful website, and I see now they have a huge pending list of services that are waiting to be approved and added.
I would also suggest checking out Changelog page to see what are the recent changes and reasons why some services got removed.
For example Monezon was removed because there was ongoing investigations and orders were not being processed.

There is 65 entries in total, while 200 are pending. The administrator of the project seems to be overwhelmed  with the requests.

Sorry to ask, but does this mean that people whose orders were not processed lost their coins/ money? Or there is some safety measure in such cases?

There was tab with pending offers in the past, but they later removed menu button linked with that.
However, you can still access the same page kycnot.me/pending and bookmark the link in your browser.
They probably have manual rating, selection, approval and removal for all pending services.

Because they use something called Node.js to run their frontend.

If you want to know that, you could just use one of Whois website to get the Whois record.

I didn't find whether they ever mention the reason. But i would speculate they don't want to read complain that website on pending list either scam them or giving bad service.

Human definitely involved on their review, otherwise there would be no pending list.

This is a great new update for kycnot.me, I am impressed!
On first glance it looks like this is just a redesign, but there are many positive changes under the hood.
Now we can enable community listed services, and we can log in and make more contributions and reviews.
