Bitcoin obsession!

I think people's obsession in bitcoin investment is mostly about the profit, recently I rarely see people talk about how to make bitcoin legally used for purchasing goods. people always talk about profit. it is risky for newbie, if they only obsess with profit and don't learn many things that related to bitcoin then they maybe panic when bearish market trend come. I think it is important to always tell them that DCA is the best thing to do for them now.

I have seen people obsessed with money and I guess we can put bitcoin obsessed people in that group too, if that is even a thing. Generally speaking the price of Bitcoin in terms of any local fiat currency is way higher to have someone collecting Bitcoin so frequently unless they are rich as anything. But we do have investors having a monthly budget on Bitcoin buying from their salary but it is far from being called an obsession.

If this process is adversely affecting their lives and how they deal with others then only it is a pathological condition. Maybe in future we might have a disease with that name. Not sure if gold saw a similar named malady.

But if you're a trader and you're for the quick profits, then that's manageable.

I don't know if we are all Bitcoin addicts, but I am sure we all love Bitcoin. We talk about and follow Bitcoin every day. Some of us are making big investments, some of us are making small investments, enjoying Bitcoin and creating anticipation.

Bitcoin has managed to touch all of our lives in a positive or negative way. I hope that we can accumulate good memories with Bitcoin in the future.

Personally if I think about it I probably come across as being obsessed with Bitcoin
by my wife purely based on the fact that I am on the forum a few times every day

But

I dont talk to anyone else or my wife about Bitcoin everyday

I couldnt tell you what the current FIAT value of Bitcoin is, I havent checked it in about 2 weeks
but judging by the forum it hasnt swung massively either side of $30k

I dont get news updates relating to Bitcoin anywhere elae other than the forum

Well, in my case it's not an obsession, it just occupies a part of my thoughts every day. But where is the line that separates obsession from what is not? For a miner or for an influencer who makes a living from this is it an obsession because it occupies a large part of their day's thoughts?

It reminds me of poker. There are players who make a living from it and don't just play several hours a day. They also have a poker school, a poker YouTube channel and things like that. So, practically what they think about most every day is poker.

I think that spending many hours thinking, talking or writing about bitcoin is not an obsession in a negative sense if you otherwise lead a normal life.

I don't perceive obsession and addiction as identical. As you mentioned, not all addictions or obsessions are inherently negative. Take, for instance, an addiction to assisting others—it's undoubtedly positive, and you should persist. Conversely, being addicted to drugs is detrimental. Similar to this, being addicted to Bitcoin isn't harmful, but gambling can be. Occasionally, even if not actively trading, I find myself checking Bitcoin's price multiple times daily. Your kind of obsession is on a positive side, but there are those on the other side of it that can barely control their obsession about a thing making something that was supposed to be a positive one looking negative because they let themself go the extreme.
 Am a BTC enthusiast that place confidence in bitcoin as a technology with much benefits that can help solve financial issues but, lets not deny the reality that everything in life that has a good side also has a negative no matter how little and insignificant the negative might be there are some that are experiencing the negative due to a wrong kind of obsession. As an investor in bitcoin if you are always thinking about it, I wouldn't call that bitcoin obsession because you need to monitor and know more about how your investment is doing especially people that tend to hodli for long. The need to think of various strategy that they can accumulate more bitcoin irrespective of the market price of bitcoin. Lastly, strong opinions about Bitcoin? Sure, people have those. But to brush aside the intensity with which some of these individuals hold their beliefs is naive. I will only be able to have more Bitcoin in various ways. And before I can earn a lot of Bitcoins, maybe I won't stop and will keep trying. And I also don't mind if someone says I'm already addicted to Bitcoin because it's more profitable for me than me doing things that aren't useful.

In my personal opinion, it is true that bitcoin can become an obsession for investors or for people who wish to buy and invest in bitcoin. But in my personal opinion, having an obsession with bitcoin too, doesn't always end badly, but the point is we have to know the level of this obsession, whether the obsession is excessive or not. Obsession isnt really that bad as long you dont find yourself crossing those fine lines when it comes to limitations because its not really that bad on looking yourself to be wary about various informations on which it would really be that helpful on being more knowledgeable which we know the more things we do know the better it would be. About owning Bitcoin then it would really be just that fine as long you arent really that compromising your life savings or emergency funds. Invest on what you can afford to lose and dont have that kind of impulsive on having that all-in investment approach towards it. Always set those limitations and
handling about your finances because if you arent really that good with it then you would definitely be finding yourself in great trouble.

I dont see for Bitcoin trading would be always resulting into huge losses, this is why we are really that thriving to become more better because we are aiming on having that profitable trades.
Losses are inevitable though but doesnt mean that it would really be just like this forever.There would be always that kind of change or progress on making yourself way more better and this is what we are

Excess of everything is not good for the healthy and the same thing goes for Bitcoin that's why BTC obsession is also not good because it may also cause a breakdown all work no play make Jack a dull boy) or misunderstanding if in a relationship.
It is good to be an enthusiast of Bitcoin there should be a limit to every. I once read that BTC obsession is the reason why the UK create a correction center for some cryptocurrency traders that are having problems with obsession.

Well I don't know how best to fill in on your thread but there is saying that show me your friends and I will tell you who you are and this saying only applies to your friends who commit crime because being friends will billionaires doesn't make you a millionaire automatically but being friends with an obvious criminal automatically makes you a criminal  as well and what I'm trying to say is that if you want to tag being conscious  of your holdings as addiction, then you're free to do so and not trying to paint it and giving it a more responsible name as obsession.

The truth is that investing in bitcoin  wouldn't be tagged addiction as there are minimal risk involved but trading with bitcoin  can be addictive especially  when chasing losses .

Well if we like about bitcoin then having an obsession with it is not a problem. It can even make us compelled to learn more about bitcoin both technically and obsess about the potential profit in trading. There are two kinds of obsession here. Namely the obsession of being a developer in bitcoin and the obsession of being a bitcoin investor. I personally in this case may be included in the obsession of being a bitcoin investor or bitcoin holder. And this encourages me to also learn more about bitcoin even in terms of the system it adopts (decentralization).

I don't want to put obsession and addiction together. If you are obsessed with gambling it makes you an addict and leads to endless money losses and psychological breakdown. Because an underlying reason for this obsession is the desire and ambition to make excessive money. If your obsession with Bitcoin is based on an excessive desire to make money, I'm sorry to say that you will be in the loser's club. Because Bitcoin's price is highly volatile, many investors get caught up in momentary price changes.

Price fluctuations are normal but a healthier approach is to focus on the technology and its potential use rather than focusing on the price. If your obsession is with Blockchain technology and the Bitcoin philosophy you could be on your way to a life of prosperity in the not too distant future. What you obsess about determines your position.
