For the past few days, Sei has been trending on Twitter (X.com) because of the mainnet launch on August 15th which is today.

As of this time of writing, they will officially be live for trading in big CEXs like Binance, KuCoin, Bybit, Gate and other ones in just a few hours from now.

The main reason for Sei’s trend is because of the airdrop being confirmed by the Sei Foundation via their official Twitter handle. After that, the noise on Twitter keeps increasing day by day as well as in Discord, Facebook, etc.

I see that a lot have participated in the Sei launchpool in Binance by staking their BNB and other supported coins.

What’s your price speculation for this one guys? Would like to hear some opinions here. Thanks!

This is true, SEI have been noises for past few weeks especially for today that everyone are looking for especially for people who participated in testnet program and early supporters of the project. More likely it could go for $0.5 - $1 a piece especially it will be listed on binance today and hoping for good news as well for everyone to have good profit after the TGE release.

There will be a confirmed airdrop for the testnet users as well as ambassadors. My prediction is between 0.1$ and 0.4$. Also, there will be a second airdrop for the mainnet users as well. That will happen next year.

Just like any other usual altcoin hype and buzz, especially during these times when the market is not a fully bull market. All I can see is a pump and dump. A few days of good green candles, a momentary all-time high and then a huge drop to a lower price

i'd expect it to be less valued than sui honestly.
with sui the hype is so big that investment at presale for those that get eligible or qualified to join gets massive benefits.
idk with sui, but it seems like the price isn't getting that massive rally, not much anticipating it and trying to invest in it I guess.
but surely the value seemed to just be 0.2$, those that followed the airdrops still get quite the benefits though. although I heard some that followed the project and got some role in their discord only rewarded quite low.

I can't sure if sei will be pulling above 50 cents. The airdrop have not been distributed and there have been many complaints regarding the delaying for the airdrop. Im sure that if 80% of airdrop receivers will be dumping their reward to the market.
Sei has been trading around 17 cents now which is far from my expectation which was above 50 cents. It's likely the hype has failed to drive the price of sei to be as high as sui.

It seems people aware if sei is not as good as sui. There have been many problems occuring around sei. Its twitter has got bunch of complaints from airdrop hunters as they were delaying to give airdrop.
So many negative comments may also affect the price of sei. Let's see how can the price can defend its position once airdrop gonna be distributed.

So far not much has happened as the price neither dumped or pumped and it kind of remained on the same levels, now there is not much we can say about the direction this coin may take as we literally have nothing to work with it as the coin was released today.

However it is revealing that not much happened, as a great deal of coins in the same position as SEI would have pumped and then dumped already, still it seems that for those that are holding this coin it may seem that their dreams of unlimited riches will have to wait a little bit, as it may take some time for this coin to show the results they are expecting out of it.

I think it's overhyped and overpriced. We will see much lower price for SEI in the next few days.
SEI is just like SUI. Don't invest too much and don't trust them. Otherwise you might have huge losses.

There will be a confirmed airdrop for the testnet users as well as ambassadors. My prediction is between 0.1$ and 0.4$. Also, there will be a second airdrop for the mainnet users as well. That will happen next year.

About the airdrop though, it seems to me that they have identified Sybil wallets and accounts which they are being disqualified from receiving Sei tokens.

My missions in Blocked are incomplete. Only accomplished 16 of 18 missions (including Humanode) that gives us a Verified Seilor role. I’ve also failed to become an Officer (ambassador) as I only got into Level 7 Crew before the deadline. However, I did participated in the Bridge event where I have made some transactions a few times.

To be honest, I am expecting very less tokens to be allocated to me. I would be grateful even if it’s just only worth for a Starbucks Frappucino. If I do receive a decent and reasonable amount of Sei, that would be also great as it could help me sustain for the time being while still looking for more opportunities.

Beyond expectations at the price of SEI when it was first listed on Binance and also several other big markets, I have expected with SEI due many exchange confirmed listing and they are not distribution airdrop for first time listing but price too drop under $0.3 and ever drop until $0.15. Joined with launchpool in Binance not effective yet because small allocation reward and listing under $0.2 is not enough for recovering with BNB price have been drop. I expected with SEI when first time listing can reach above $1 but its too far from my predicting after listing with lower price and I have sold out all reward from launchpool due out my expectation.

Yes 3% of their token supply is allocated to community airdrop but all this will not be distributed at once and there will be multiple season for distribution. First airdrop will be givens to testnet users. Unfortunately i missed this airdrop as 25 transaction was required and I leave this airdrop. distribution is not started yet and claiming will be start soon.

The opening was unexpectedly very low and i was lucky one ti to buy at 0.178$ and sold at 0.27$ and made 100$ profit in 24 hours. Liquidity is 10 billion and community reward has not been given so i think price will be below 0.3$. I think below 0.2$ is good to buy because token is still new. If Sei team announced some big partnerships and other staking program then i believe that price will rise.

Many disappointed especially to people who tirelessly doing the testnet campaign and only got few tokens from it, though it's free but still not be compensated of all the hard work of participants. I think it did not get too much hyped from the crypto community just like passed airdrops like Arkham.

Maybe it’s because they are being one of the Sybils or exploiters being identified by Sei? We don’t know as there are many factors behind it.

As for me, I only started last April of this year and has incomplete Blocked missions and only get to Crew level on Discord. However, I am eligible but I only get a few bucks just enough for a couple of Starbucks frappucinos because I only stick to one wallet, Twitter (X.com) and Discord account.

But at least it’s free money and I am expecting more airdrops from projects under the Sei network in the future.

I don't even know how it happened that I missed SUI activity on the test network, which I regretted before listing this coin on exchanges, as I expected this airdrop to fill the bags of early users to the brim. But as we can see, the expectations of many were not met and for many months of work on testing the network, they received several dollars each.

I have an officer ambassador role. But I only received 100 sei tokens.  Some of the higher ambassador members do not receive any tokens as well. The main point is there is 300M tokens are allocated to the airdrop. But they have distributed only 12M sei tokens. Also, their discord is muted. We can not contact any admins right now.

seeing that since the beginning of the SEI ecosystem like APTOS which will end in uncertainty, many participants of the SEI testnets, almost 7 billion wallets, are active in contributing to the airdrop with the allocation given by SEI of only 3% of the total coin supply. and many were disappointed with the final results because they did not match the expectations expected by the testnet participants

At least you did have 100 Sei tokens. I am just a Level 7 Crew member but eligible to receive 65 Sei tokens. Maybe I am because I do not have multiple accounts. Sybils have been eliminated from the airdrop and there are like over 30,000 wallets that are being disqualified due to multiple accounts.

But it’s not just about focusing on Sei alone. There are projects using Sei where they will be launching their own tokens and airdrop it to early testnet participants.

One of them is Levana Finance. Before the Sei mainnet, I have interacted at least few times with Levana Finance under the Atlantic-2 testnet. The founder himself which I had a call with him a couple of days ago have confirmed that early testnet users will receive an airdrop from Levana Finance once their token is launched.

Probably the same thing to other projects who are using Sei network before the mainnet. Just my own speculation and insight.

If it ends up like Aptos where it speculates that it’ll be another failed and “dead” L1, I can see more projects using Sei network are going to move to another network.

One of them is already doing it and is known as Sei Monsters (now known as Sea Monsters). They have recently announced that they have ditched Sei for Base.

I think it's not a fair distribution from sui team because first they distribute too late when price goes dump from 0.4 to 0.15 around so such amount of token doesn't worth about how much we expect, also due to late distribution and low number of token per wallet forced participant from his testnet to start a scam trend on Twitter which really damage the shape of thier project but if management of Sui project introduce KYC option then there will be alot of wallets which has a chance to be eliminated and thus a small bunch of gunien participant will get thier deserving reward.
Still I expect that more round of airdrop distribution will be occer later after one another with a passage of time which will reduce the anger of participants and will help to regain the lost trust.

Airdrop participants really hope that they will get a good amount of money on SEI as it was seen as a hype airdrop. But yeah, so many airdrop hunters where disappointed by the end result of the distribution and the total amount of SEI they receive on their wallet. It's sad to see project like this was been labeled as scam by some undeserving participants because of their unwanted airdrop rewards. They are abused and now the only thing they can do is to do damage control.
