this forum is a place for bitcoin enthusiasts. This is the perfect place to learn about bitcoin technicalities, including all the details, but it's definitely not an objective place to get information about future bitcoin pricing and investment strategies. In 1990, people were excited about Japanese stocks, which grew 350x in 40 years. When the bubble burst, it took 34 years to return to the area of precious ath (not adjusted for inflation). Same goal although I don't have a specific timeline, as long as I can accumulate every month no matter how small the amount of sats areI am making progress, hopefully I will be able to get to half a bitcoin in the next 3 years or less, hopefully more money making opportunities come my way so I can shorten the pace of my goal. Got myself some bitcoin already for this current dump coz I got my pay in my day job. Those that have been worried with the price dump this week aren't really here for the long term. But those that have been in here for a long time, this is nothing and it's not painful at all.

It becomes painful when you just look at the projection value of your portfolio but eventually, you'll just ignore it and think that it's normal for this highly volatile market.

Whatever the cost of this dump will also show the opposite of it, it may not be instant but we'll see it gradually.

That's the biggest issue with Bitcoin, when it goes up people start saying its now expensive to buy Bitcoin and when it goes down there are speculations that price will drop down to record low.

We have seen what truth is over a period of time. Its never too late to buy Bitcoin nor price of Bitcoin will ever be going to zero, as we see Bitcoin always make a strong come back. Price of Bitcoin has gone down in last one or two days and to me its best to buy Bitcoin now as halving is coming up.

I bought small amounts until I had enough to buy a few coins at $300.... then the price went up to $1000+ and I sold some of the coins to pay some of my debt. It is good to have a dream, and even better - a goal, but the dream most often remains abstract, because you don't strive for it, but the goal is something of a different order. The goal will push you to action, and when viewed pragmatically, it works better than a dream. If your dream is to own 1btc, it is time you start buying at this current price. But one thing is that when bitcoin will be on discount, you might not have the money to accumulate as big as you want. That is why I always advise that people should use dollar cost averaging method to invest in Bitcoin and be consistent about it. Even though its stressful to read those article which create fear to people still you just need to be open minded on possibilities and read that since from those articles you can find helpful hints that can give you some good earnings.

If you just let the fud pass out and don't do any action then for sure you will miss some good opportunity to buy.

This is a good scenario to make explanation on when and why buying bitcoin using DCA is very important, assuming you have bought all you wanted some few weeks back then you might just realized some lossee from the little time frame, but when using DCA, this dip will also serve another opportunity to buy and hold, my suggestion for you is to maintain buying it in a gradual using DCA till your target of holding 1btc is achieved.

It is very interesting when we have the dream of owning 1 bitcoin. I also from the beginning of this year decided the same thing with you. That is I at least want and I'm sure I will have 1 bitcoin before the halving happens. This keeps me motivated to continue investing and collecting bitcoins regularly. It's very common to set a goal and a dream, many people had sets their dreams and goal but the ability for them to execute is where they problems lies because what would triggered the dream and goal is no longer to be found in them, or even if is being found over there they are no longer willing to take the bold steps maybe they are wanting to have some series of money or some specific amounts that could lead them to start holding bitcoin in mass.

I had came across some people with some techniques to start building their portfolio without even or haven to come announced it on how it went through over the years or months, like I said, buying bitcoin at dip is something very important but if you don't have the exceeding mindset to start accumulating you could also find it very difficulty because when you start to focused from your accumulation process and then look back to how deeply the market has fallen below your initial buying point you wouldn't mind getting discouraged.

So, as a bitcoin lover or believer who so much puts all efforts to make sure you hold some bitcoin isn't something you could come announce because we may witnessed more dip and more bloody to come because the bitcoin market is so volatile in way you can't afford to watch your assets sinking below -50% or more of its price, and do you know what that mean?

True, 1 BTC=1 BTC, but no one can claim with certainty that the price in the future will be higher than it is today, or than it was 1 year ago. I also believe that Bitcoin has a good future, but I also accept the possibility that everything will not go exactly as we imagined. Theoretically, in 10 years from today, the price of 1 BTC may be only slightly higher than today, and taking into account inflation, the purchasing power of the same 1 BTC may be even lower than today.

It’s still achievable for first world, full time working people but it probably won’t be as early as two years from now. Of course everyone has a dream to get and saved at least 1 BTC in our wallet, to be part of that club. It might take years for us ordinary and average joe traders but obviously if can be done if you really have this dream.

And with the sudden dump in prices, for sure majority is very happy to see that happen, $25k is a good price to get and enter again and panic buying as others will say and stay focus on that dream of ours to get 1 BTC in our wallet one day.

Well, there's no late comers in Bitcoin you could always enter the market whenever you want or exit as well. No need to compare your decisions to others if they'd sell in the current market then that's their choice maybe they literally need money that cause them to sell their Bitcoin. But your dream doesn't really guarantee you if you don't have a plan to achieve it. It's not that simple by just saying "I will own a 1 BTC" which is possible but if its all talk no plan or action then it would be impossible. But you can also achieve your goal all you have to do is to look for a good strategy that will help you keep accumulating more coins consistently while you go on with your normal day to day lifestyle. As long as you are financially stable and are able to save extra for emergency funds, then you are all good. I'd always like to highlight the "emergency fund" so you will have your bitcoin all secured from getting withdrawn due to this circumstances. When you're holding bitcoin for long term, that kind of situation is the most common reason as to why some people need to withdraw some of their holdings. I think it's still advisable to read any news so OP would be updated to any happenings in the current market like for example the market is slowly decreasing, so if you're updated you could actually buy more with it's current price right. You could use other platforms that doesn't included FUD like pages that gives information without any comments. Because in my case, whatever the situation of the market or anyone's opinion about it, as long as I know what I'm doing, FUD doesn't really affects me. As far as it is a goal for you and you really want it, you can achieve it. When you know what you want it always possible to get it. OP probably has less than 0.1 BTC but it always looks good to brag about being a dedicated bitcoiner with almost 1 BTC at hand. I find it that people who have a lot of bitcoin (10+) don't brag about it and don't make useless threads saying their dream was to have 10 or 20 BTC. It's always merit hungry newbies that do it.

Yes, price doesn't really matter upon investing in Bitcoin because we believe that its price will continue to grow. But, we can't just set aside that there is no 100% that it will stay forever.

You're a legend it's really difficult to own 1 Bitcoin especially when the market price already skyrocket, I was also still on the way of owning 1 Bitcoin and i was getting near in fact my holding was bigger than before when i sold my bitcoin last Bullrun, which i think a good thing because I can assure that the profit is going to be higher, For sure i was planning to sell my Bitcoin when the market price skyrocket, but i was thinking as well if I'm going to holding for years which is going to be difficult in my past experience just because it could easily be an endless holding if you just wasn't planning to sell at all, I just not going to see the point because I treat bitcoin as an investment and if you are not planning to sell even though it is a reasonable profit, I just cant see the point of investing at all for sure it is going to be higher market price in the future but it is still just speculation because it is still not guarantee that its going to happened something could easily came up and could possibly drop the market.

I like your idea, everyone has a goal to achieve, and owning one bitcoin is not really a bad idea. But if you are not financially stable, you don’t have to force yourself to own one bitcoin. Don't do things that might end up affecting you just because you want to make it up to your target of owning one bitcoin. No amount of bitcoin is too small or too big. If you have the financial capacity, you can even get more than one bitcoin. If you are not financially stable, any amount of bitcoin is still fine, it’s not necessarily you hold up to one bitcoin.

Bitcoin price may drop to 20k in this opportunity.  However, there is no guarantee that this will be possible.  Bitcoin price is much lower now compared to ATH price which maybe no one believed at the time that Bitcoin would drop again to such low price when Bitcoin price exceeded $68k. So this could be a great opportunity for someone to buy a whole Bitcoin right now.  If the price of Bitcoin rises again, it is not believed that Bitcoin will be seen at such a low price again. Just accumulate it over time, like purchasing it every time you get your salary. Just get a small amount of your salary intended for buying Bitcoin because right now we can't afford one, which is mostly the case right now because you see that the inflation keeps getting high, which means we really need more money, so if we do have that extra one, we can invest in it by purchasing a few sats on Bitcoin. It would be much better if you could buy a whole bitcoin because the max supply of bitcoin is very small compared to the population of the world so if in the future all people start using bitcoin, even 0.01 bitcoin will not be easily owned by anyone. But if you can afford one whole bitcoin, your target should be to hold that bitcoin for at least 10 years, which is pretty much guaranteed to give you a huge return. Honestly, IMO, investing in Bitcoins doesn't mean that we have to get 1BTC but at least having some of it is enough as we are not missing up on the opportunity. However, if we take this 1BTC us our main goal, there is no problem with that but the question is, and with the most common problem that holders face is when the price is dumped hard and then change their mind. Yes, usually they end up selling their Bitcoin not in a perfect time.

Compounding is the best option for you at this moment. We are already low on the price tag, why not take an opportunity to buy as much amount as you can right now. Just have it, once there is spike you can again go for the selling that amount and buying the whole new amount of satoshi's with interest that you earned plus the principle amount. This is called as compounding and it's great way to increase your "satoshi" and eventually turn your dream into the reality. For me this dream could have been achieved long ago since I am holder of bitcoin but I am selling few chunks now and then to fulfill my needs and my family needs too. That's why for some people it's better to focus on bitcoin even though FUD cannot be separated from its journey, but when compared to Altcoins it can clearly risk a much greater level of loss that we will get. I mean, bitcoin is much more fundamental and even though it is occasionally influenced by FUD which drives its price down, there is always a way for bitcoin to find its best rhythm to recover from corrections.

Though it's not about making a fortune if your dream is only to accumulate a certain amount of Bitcoins, it's still true that it is not as easy as it used to be before because the price of Bitcoin used to be very low back in the day and someone could easily buy one Bitcoin if they had a good income. However, nothing is impossible, one can still achieve one goal if one works hard for it, and we already know that the market can crash anytime to provide an opportunity.

Idle money is just for the rich. I mean, most of us here are really doing a job so that we can earn a salary to spend on our needs, and sometimes if we do have spare money, that is where we invest it or keep it as an emergency fund. I don't think is proper to even dump your coin is yours and you take good care of your asset😁 or even listen to those bloggers and their write up about how they think Bitcoin price would be in the next coming days or years, is best to focus on what you're seeing than what you're expecting in the nearest future like I always say.
