I think that gambling advertising  on social media is ineffective and very expensive, since gambling is basically prohibited in most social media

      -     Maybe in other countries, yes, but in some other countries like here, social media advertisement is very effective using popular influencers who are well known on social media sites such as Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok.
In fact, it has been rampant even up until now.

There are a lot of influencers in my country who became rich by endorsing several gambling casinos online, and these influencers don't care if a lot of their followers will get broke in the end because of the casinos they've promoted because they've already paid.
Indeed, in most of the countries, restrictions aren't that with online gambling unlike with landbased ones. Therefore, engaging with social media advertisements would still benefit a gambling platform. Also, they won't spend money for something they do not know about so more likely those gambling sites who does so, have tested and saw the results of ads 'coz they'd be throwing their money if they won't know the negative consequences of it. Also, advertisement in any field doen't need to be too detailed. Recognition from players and potential players would be an enough result of social media engagement thru ads.

To be honest, the age verification measures or methods are a complete failure when it comes to safeguarding minors from gambling or products that they aren't supposed to see or use because most of the children use the mobile phones of either their parents or elder siblings and they watch YouTube, TikTok, surf social media platforms and play games and stuff all in those devices which are basically owned by adults but are easily approachable by minors as well.

So, these ads or promotions that are targeting people based on their age must find another way to safeguard minors since this method isn't working at all, it's a different thing if parents or elders are having parental control and stuff that protect those children from these things when they are using those devices.

If I remember correctly, I think I read somewhere that Australia is about to ban online gambling ads from the country, and gambling platforms can't advertise their services online. Now, I'm not really sure if they are also going to ban online gambling platforms or if they are just banning the ads for the concern that it may lead to luring the younger generation towards gambling since we all know how enticed the young generation is with the digital world.

However, I'm not sure if that is the case with other countries and what their take regarding online gambling and their advertisements, but I feel most of them only allow casinos operating online with a valid license acquired from the licensing firms and authorities of the same country they are operating in.

However, any prohibition of gambling at the level of governments and laws of a particular country, in particular, as you mentioned Australia, will not lead to the fact that the younger generation does not become addicted to gambling.  Such countermeasures always lead to only one thing.
A ban on gambling will only have the opposite effect, as the forbidden always entices young people to try, and in this sense, such government measures will not only be ineffective, but even harmful.  Such a ban in this case acts as a hidden advertisement of gambling.  But I think that what you read about the intentions of the Australian authorities to ban gambling is just informational stuff in order for the inhabitants of this country to simply pay attention to the problems associated with gambling and the emergence of gambling addiction to such an extent that such players should be treated.  This is how I see the purpose of this information.
Moreover, the USA has already tried once to ban alcohol.  We all know that this, one might say, scam turned out.
Here is a similar picture will be in Australia in the case of a legislatively adopted ban on gambling.

It is interesting to see how these gaming companies are using social media to their benefits.
Not only they are getting enough data but also personalized data which they can utilize to give a personalized gaming experience to their users.
Ads, promotions, bonuses, referrals etc... all becomes easy when social media is integrated.
Connectivity between users is beneficial for both the players as well as the gaming companies.

From my own personal experience in working in marketing, I would have to respectfully disagree with you. Any talented promoter or social media growth hacker worth his salt would know how to navigate the bans on gambling advertising and create a decent marketing campaign using social media.
The thing is that gambling promotions are prohibited in some countries where gambling is term as illegal such as some Islamic countries where gambling is labelled as haram,  so for that social media within that country will block all gambling-related adverts.

But if a citizen of such a country who already knows how to manipulate his way into bypassing such restrictions,  the promotion can still be pushed through with such promotion on social media, In my country some social media platforms block casino adverts.

Simply so. It is a rave ongoing that can't be stopped but controlled by the individual user of the app. I am talking about trying to stop gambling advert from always popping up. Some bank apps even these days have gambling sections where one can directly log into a gambling site and place a bet.
It depends on individual control over these paid commercials on social media.

This kind of promotions are not prohibited in my country as many are still advertising a specific platform and you can still see a sponsored post which relates to gambling this is also why many are exposed already into gambling and even the young ones. Social media campaign for the gambling sites seems very effective, you can also add the vlogger who are part of the promotional campaign, there’s so many ways to market the casinos nowadays.

Islamic countries have their rules and they are very radical with that and with the religions that imply everything that Islam is , I respect that culture a lot, because they have Rules and things where if they are not followed they are Capable of getting into Serious problems and when this is how things are , I prefer to leave them as they are , because only 1 as a Person will not Make a Difference , and if they have already established things and rules, then whatever they can do , what I see is that games of chance should be accepted worldwide without any type of cover or lack of respect for religion or things that imply that it will be done Wrong , I am in favor of any game being given so that they can be successful in all the people of the world and They manage to do something great, players in the World , wherever they are, need to play and do Something so Healthy that it is to have fun.

I think that gambling advertising  on social media is ineffective and very expensive, since gambling is basically prohibited in most social media

Which of the social media forbids gambling adverts, i think nost of the social media platforms allow for adverts of any kind and these gambling platforms also have their own social media handles they use in making advertisement on their services, they also make use of social media influencers, paid ads services, bloggers, and uses other social media platforms to make adverts and pay them while some are done for free, just as you can discover this forum the way we have a number of gambling platforms making their awareness on this forum through a signatory campaign.
Exactly, they even paid influencers or these social media people just to promote a brand and tbh it's kinda saturated now with too many gambling platforms getting advertise especially at the end of the video and even ads do that as well. It may seems effective if that account has a good reach but even so I think only newbies will fall on it but newbies are that too many to be fooled

This is the advantage of these businesses in today's digital developments.
They can easily reach out to masses to promote their respective ads.
However, even if they tap the public but they don't have good reviews, it will show later on with how they can truly attract loyal patrons.
Because they may attract potential gamblers in the beginning, but if they don't have good experience, they can easily spread the word.
And as we know, ,most of these social media influencers are just bluffs, meaning, most are fake ones who will show only the positive side of the site but not the losses they got. Because they are paid ones.

Yes Islam have some highly strict rules and some of the countries within the religion have set those rules for their citizens,  and some go as far as giving life sentence to those involve in gambling,  but at the moment things are changing and Internet have helped a lot in that regards,  giving people the privacy to do whatever they like from the comfort of their home without a anyone knowing.

So the rate of gambling is increasing and the government of such countries are beginning to get use to it and since they can not monitor all their citizens online activities,  is far more better to now regulates the casinos and that is what most countries are doing.

Anyway, social media is probably the NOW and the nearest future of iGaming/Gambling promotion. Although most operators still uses affiliate networks and partnerships as core of their marketing strategies.

I'm just surprised it took them this long to use social media. It's been one of the best methods for promotion for a long time imo, just that there's probably a lot of limits I guess in connection with gambling since it's, well, gambling. But I reckon it would've still been a boost to their engagement imo. It's also a metric that helps understand the current engagement that they have with their users. I'm pretty sure Twitter itself is pretty lenient with gambling content, and it's a lot easier to see engagement there if properly grown as well.

Social media has always been the best way to promote casinos and other businesses but there will always be restrictions on some platforms like Meta. There are still limitations and requirements that the casino should comply with. I agree that Twitter would be better just like what other huge casinos do to promote more. Igaming has really been succeeding in engaging with their promotions which I think is a good sign and gambling and new forms of gaming have been really innovative these days. It's just that we, users, still have to be skeptical because even scam casinos are now spending funds on Social media promotions.

Igaming has really succeeded in creating promotions, wherever social media is always the main way for iGaming to promote other businesses, especially gambling, which aims to make people interested and arouse the desire to play gambling with lots of profits, to make people who see promotions interested and aimed at customers. old people are attracted back and new customers are given attractive promotional facilities and bonuses. But without us realizing it, some of the interesting iGaming promotions are aimed at attracting new customers, which the new customers may not know about because they have been deceived by attractive promotions that have been strategized and may be fooled in the game. Because beginners don't know and only fall for advertising promotions that are given the promise of bonuses and lots of profits. And this often happens and is experienced by new customers.
