never thought of any altcoin in the last dip market because recently I invested quite a big amount on some of those meme coins and at the end of the day the 3 coins have failed to recover even though the cryptocurrency market has recovered multiple times within that period and this is what have lowered my motivation level for altcoins in this season.

I hold more of Bitcoin and I bought at the last discount price of 25k and looking forward to a long-term view since it looks almost impossible for Bitcoin to go back to that price level before the next Bitcoin halving 2023.

Lol! All the best with your investment! Altcoins are actually a very bad choice during a falling market. You should have purchased either Bitcoin or ETH. Altcoins can be vanished at any time but that won't be the case with Bitcoin and ETH. So whenever you have some money to invest, invest in these coins and nothing else.

But if you are willing to gamble with your investment, then it's fine to buy anything.

I'm yet to do that presently, even though I bought some altcoins when the market was a bit stable(bitcoin around 30k). You can imagine what the price of some altcoins I held in my portfolio, what their price would be, now bitcoin is trading at $26k. Since the dip in price started 3 days ago, I haven't thought about adding more altcoins to my portfolio since I don't want to gamble with my spare money on coins whose survival in the bear market before the bull run is uncertain.
It is better for me to keep investing in bitcoin because I am confident that its price will rise tomorrow compared to altcoins.

It's a big no for any altcoin at the moment when Bitcoin is bearish as it has adverse effect on altcoins and no altcoin is safer at the moment except Ethereum even that too will have negative impact but comparatively lesser. I am sorry to say but you have made a wrong move by investing at this moment and that too on a random coin which is ranked at #37 wherein we cannot even invest into top altcoin now, nevertheless take a chance as no one can predict the crypto market as I am criticizing your investment now may end up praising if it pumps.

More reason to invest in bitcoin. Experience they say is the best teacher. Most altcoins are pump and dump. People buy it because of the prospect of profit by the time it increases in price because of the numbers of unit but before you finish clicking the order to buy it starts to drop in price and won't recover and that is because those whales and early buyers had already seen the opportunity to dump by your orders. It is only better to buy bitcoin and very top altcoins like Ethereum and BNB.

What's your definition for long run and are you prepared to use dollar cost average -tactic if it goes way below $€0.9?

Because at this market i see ARB as overvalued when you realize that only use case for it is basically voting. So unless you vote more airdrops for yourselves to devaluate it even more, i don't understand how it would be a good thing to ask from some random holders on any code decision votes. That should be left for most talented coders, not hacks hoarding votes for their hype ideas.

Yeah mate you want to blow it all away but not Bitcoin anyways because just like you,  many of us were never involved in a crash,  since we never sell any of our Bitcoin starch more or less we invested more into Bitcoin for the long-term goals.

So there is no need for the tank roomy cause that is meant for the zombies who occupy the wrong territory,  that need forceful attack to evict them out.

The last all-time high of that coin was about $8+ this year, and the price has really dropped, so you bought at a low price, but the thing is that you don't know if the price of the coin can go high again or even hit a new ATH. I am more consistent in accumulating Bitcoin because I feel more safe investing in it compared to some altcoins, and the reason is because I have a lot of altcoins that have died out in my wallet. When I also invested in them, I thought I bought them at a very low and cool price, but those coins never increased in price again.

Not sure I just doing dca on some tokens that I am accumulating ever since. Like avax, bnb, eth and of course bitcoin. Have some small bags of some early tokens of other projects but not looking to add more for them. Their just moon bag in case a bull season take place. Youll probably get suprise with tbose tokens gaining more than what you can imagine.

But better to acquire safety tokens or coins for now like btc, eth, bnb cause this are lot safer than newer alts.

Although the market condition is not so good at the moment, I'm a little waiting for the market to give me profit in the future, and I will try to invest in 3 different coins i.e. eth, bnb, and dot. In the past I had a significant loss In arb token i.e. I sold it for the loss.

Currently, the market is experiencing instability. However, if someone has faith in any alternative cryptocurrency, then I would suggest that there is no issue in purchasing it, especially if the intention is for long-term investment. On the other hand, if the intention is short-term gains, then this might not be the appropriate moment to make a purchase. Different individuals perceive the market in varying ways; I too have invested in 2-3 coins – XRP, Matic, and Quant. These investments have been made with a long-term perspective in mind. I made these purchases because these coins are significantly below their all-time highs. Despite the likelihood of the market remaining sideways for around 3 months or potentially even dropping, I am aware that opportunities like these might be rare. Hence, I am taking a calculated risk to seize the moment.

I'm not so sure about my choice as well but I bought in some LTC. It was to decrease the average buying price for me. The average price for me is still 71 while current price is 64. I might again buy some of it as I believe it would soon cross over $100. Not particularly bullish for the coin but I believe in the trend. I also sold some of my SOL to buy Steem. I prefer SOL more but it does have much price movement to keep trading. Steem on the other hand is good for trading on swings.

Not yet. I'm still expecting for another crash. I have an eye on some altcoins but now is not the time to buy yet. Also if I buy an altcoin, I don't plan on keeping it for a long time. Once I make money out of it, I will quickly sell it and buy for another coin. You shouldn't be loyal in any altcoin and keep it until it goes up. That might make you bag it for a long time instead of earning with other altcoins.

Never did bought any at the downturn in about a week or so.

Reason for that is simply I don't have the funds right now, but for others like you, then it's good, just a matter on what altcoins you want to invest and put your money in and then hope for the best.

I have some cryptos though, and so I didn't bother to sell them, just HODL and then see how it goes in the future. And then I only have BTC as the main source so if ever I have cash then I will stick to it.

Maybe OP is simply thinking about profit, I'm not sure how long you can keep it but I think you will sell it if it goes up x10 tomorrow , this is not uncommon for people New to crypto, they are told that it has potential and should be kept for more than 5 years , but every day they check the price of the volatility that they have chosen.
ETH myself is the crypto that I have held the longest, with a period of about 2 years, but honestly going through many mistakes made me think that holding one thing for a long time should choose the top ones, and don't compare too much about the current profit level.
