Whats Happened:
I saw crypto currency buy/sell thread opened by quiet newbie who's registered today and start with selling good and providing currency exchange. further he didn't provide any information, which currency he accept and other information.

I strongly believe that this user can prove out to be a scammer and we should close the door before he do any wrong. more ever he break the rules of forum and should be treated.

Thanks for the update, but it will only take a newbie just like him to fall for this kind of scam, because I'm sure any reasonable person on this forum is ought to have known that a "Newbie" is not to be fully trusted until proven otherwise, not to mention a newbie who create an account,  and immediately created a thread 20 minutes later on both "Goods & Service" board, which for me I'm sure that must be an alt account of an already existing member of this forum (i.e for him/ her to have noticed we have such boards within few minutes & what is been done on those boards)

The problem is that scam is not moderated on this forum.

I do not have to think two times before I will know that Adam Bryce is trying to scam. But if I am wrong, I have left something  for other people to read on the thread that it is better they avoid the user or they should use escrow.

As for me, I can never use such a service.

It really is questionable, how he ended up here in Bitcointalk offering this, he must have read somewhere that you can buy and sell here but unfortunately, he does not have ideas on how buying and selling works here, and he might see this as an opportunity to scam, Using Paypal is already questionable because he can always dispute transactions.

Therefore, as long as @Adam Bryce wants to go first and wait and trust the second party to receive the money, I do not think that there is a problem.

But as you said @Adam Bryce is using a reversible payment e.g. PayPal, it's still not safe even though he go first or using an escrow. The point is he must not revers his payment and we can't make sure about that.

He's high likely a scammer, using telegram since it's easy to clear all chat and reversible payment. If he want to buy USD and sell cryptocurrency, then there's a chance he's legit user.

That's not an official rule, just an indication of common scams. Such payment methods are actually not prohibited regardless of account ranks.

Although it's really fishy that the user is a potential scammer. I have to agree that if he agrees to do this transaction and he agrees to be the first one to do it then there's no problem. Also, if he also wants to use an escrow then I guess that makes it safe. Otherwise, there's the obvious if he rejects to do any of those and wanting the other party wants to go first and pushes the payment method that allows to reverse transactions.

A newbie creating a currency exchange thread just minutes after registration should send a signal to anyone who wants to make such mistake of an having a deal with such account. I would not be surprised  seeing newbie accounts posting testifying to had successfully done transactions with that account and vouching for him to be legit and genuine which in the real sense it is fake.
Since there's is no restriction to making post anyone is free to go comment on that thread to send message to anyone thinking of having any deals with such account to be much careful and conscious of their real intentions.

Anyone dealing should deal with caution.

Thank you, since he mentioned it because he has large amounts of bitcoin, these are negative indicators, but since he wanted to send a phishing link, or it may be a real link to a platform, and that platform does not enable you to withdraw it.

I add more negative trust to that account and it is better to deal with trusted accounts only.

You contacted him and exposed him but generally, if any newbie posts such a thread, it is already a red alert and none of us should make a deal/transaction with a Newbie member with no reputation.
If anyone gets scammed by a newbie, then it is 100% his own fault.

Great work for exposing this bloody scammer. This is the reason newbie offering such thing big is always suspicious and should do well research before going to make any deal. This spotted user is more dangerous as he stealing money through phising links and newbie could be Targeted through this way easily.

I didn't think about chatting in telegram what he offering but I felt scamming attempt and I am very happy that tabas and Albon didn't allow him to scam anybody. I will also add special Thanks to hugeblack to be active in scam accusation section and I hope no scammer will be able to cheat here if we continue exposing.

As you've quote from what tomatocage stated that it's almost impossible for a newbie to just open an account and go straight forward to offer a service on loan without having experience or much details on what he's offering, such people have hidden agenda to use reputable organizations name or profile to scam others, maybe he thought here could be as other platforms not moderated on the use of social media, the more they keep appearing here the faster their bubbles are getting bursted.
