Over to your question.. investment in altcoins must times appear to be more profitable than investing in bitcoin, but they are highly risky too, so if I'm to advise, I will say go for bitcoin if you are looking for a safe place to invest. And if you are to go for altcoins, be ready to take the risk, as anything might happen within the investment period. Either it gives you a hug back or you end up losing everything; the choice is entirely yours to make.

For me, namecoin is not a project in which I might invest $1,000. If you have researched and think that they have a future value, then invest between $50 and $150 and invest $600 in Bitcoin and $250 for Ethereum.

nexus.io is a project for a good altcoin, but they have been on the scene for a while, and Sigchain and staking are not those revolutionary ideas. The year 2024 will be different from 2021, and the ideas that made currencies rise in that year will not help in the future.

I think it's obvious in his username that he could be shilling one of this coin or could possible be this two. As for namecoin, it's one of the oldest project, way back in 2013 if I'm not mistaken, and could have been invested heavy already but I don't know if it is still has the hype in the next bull run.

And if you look at it, and if my memory serves me right, it's last all time high in 2017 because I vividly remember that it was very hype back then and it was thought that it could dominate it's niche. But now for me, this is just my opinion, not a good investment as it might not hit all time high in the next bull run.

Both of Nexus and Namecoin appears dead to me. It would be much better to invest in something that is more active both in development and community engagement. It's easier to think of and write about grand scheme but it's much difficult to implement those ideas. For me, I believe on execution of smaller steps and ideas more important than large promises. Nexus plans of a rebuilding the internet ground up since 2014. They have not been able to build such internet for about a decade and they are absence from the existing internet since 2020.

I have been lucky to avoid all the SBF and FTX drama in which they almost brought down Winklevoss Twins and Gemini!

They almost brought down the ENTIRE Crypto Trust System that had any HUMAN Face to interact with!  So I am looking to dump a little bit of money to leverage $1 grand for 5-10 years!  But I am unsure which would be better investment!

To me Sigchains is simple and easy to Remember, I have lost lots of Crypto over the years, not BTC though!  And I think the Nexus "Bubble Bursting" was tied to Big Banker Liquidity which obviously never materialized especially after CZ and Binance did the Knife attack against all the Binance Nexus Stakers!

But Life goes on I guess and the Money Games keep Going!  Scam, after Scam, they come for me, Scam after Scam, Sam I am, Scam after Scam says Sam I am!

I doubt you are probably shilling here. I don't suggest anyone invest in brand-new projects and shit-coins anyway. Because this is the way to vanish your portfolio. Though there is a chance to take advantage of pump dump after a few days new projects and sitcoms become dead. So it will be hard to make money from pump dumps. In summary, I would prefer to invest in Bitcoin. Just keep in eye on when a dump happens and take entry. Hold until you get a good profit from there. Make your target when you will release your holding. That's how you may achieve your goals instead of investing in a shitcoin.

You also wouldn't get -100% from BTC . Kidding aside (not really tbf), I think it depends on how much risk you're willing to take. I've never heard of Namecoin before but if you think it's a good project, then go. I'd say split up the $1k if that's pretty big for you though, just to mitigate that -100% I said earlier. In this case you're probably shorting anyway, so even if you pull out early when you profit, if the project really has the chance of making that 1000% return, it's never really going to be late. You might get a bit less, but it's still a lot more compared to nothing.

Bitcoin is a well-established cryptocurrency and considered by many as a store of value. If you have a small amount to invest, it might be a relatively safer choice compared to newer and smaller projects. Bitcoin is the first and most well-known cryptocurrency. It is a more mature investment.

But if you would to like to choose between the two altcoins. Go for Nexus, if you are looking for a high-risk, high-reward investment, it could be a good option for you. If you are looking for a more stable investment, then Namecoin could be better choice.

But if I were you, I would stick and prioritize Bitcoin.

Wow. Someone is still investing in old shitcoins that have been fading for a long time and don't bode well for their investors. Look at the chart of this coin over the last 8 years, what do you see there? Do you see rapid growth and new ATHs there? What is the point of carrying your money into a coin that has a trading volume of $5,000? What are you hoping for, that after you buy these coins, things will change and now the coin will behave any differently? No, it will behave exactly the same, so I don't see any point in carrying my money into such projects.

Just buy Bitcoin.

That's the best that you can do. With new projects, yes you may be able to earn x10 or even more which is becoming the norm for people that have experienced earning with those.

But, there's also the bigger risk from there and you're unsure if the one you have invested will be the same as what you're expecting. With Bitcoin, all of those expectations will be there and you're even safe from manipulation which can easily be done in alts.

You are saying that you are not shilling doesn't really make it true. Why does your username say, "Nexus Flavor" if you are not really here to shill the project? That sounds like the classic line the a thief shouting that they didn't steal anything when what they've stolen is already visible from their pocket. However, I don't think this makes any difference whether you are shilling the project or not because most people won't just invest in a project they hear about from someone random over the internet.

And, what makes you think that any of the two projects you've mentioned will actually give you a 1000% return on your investment when both of the projects are new? And we all know what generally happens when we invest in newly launched projects especially if they are meme or shit coins.

It is true that Bitcoin will not give you 1000%, but there is no guarantee that these currencies will give you 1000%, or at least that there will be enough liquidity to withdraw it at the appropriate time. You say that you are sticking to Namecoin, but you do not give reasons for that other than selfish feelings, so some describe you as shilling. .Currencies that achieve 1000% are the ones that offer something new to ride the wave of ICO DeFi AI, and Namecoin did not do any of that, so the possibility of it rising by a large percentage is unthinkable or inaccurate.

Well, I understand the entire SBF ETH spam token Money Laundering Schemes are the mainstay of Crypto Profits, and there is "PURPOSELY" no liquidity where they do not want it?  Isn't that tremendous Power?

The Liquidity issue is correct to point out and I expect to hold for at least 5 years whatever I buy here because I understand the situation a little with SBF won't be resolved anytime soon!
