Thank you for sharing I just came across this post at the beginning & help section, is a good steps for him to have introduced that, I believe there are people who can do that in our local board only as well to help encourage the newbies especially those who are really in need of merits. With this steps our local board will be a better place order than others.
Well I can't say but I have barely receive merits from some high rank members here, with this steps he has taken he will really help the locals.

Thanks for bringing this to inform is in the local board. At least this will help some of the quality posts that need to be merited. This our local board is one of the boards that needs this help. I don't know that Hugeblack is a merit source because I don't see him like the other ones. Oboy the rules are very hard oo. If really im go follow di rules many people wey don apply e don already offend di rules. If one dey apply as Charles-Tim said it, you have to read di rules very well. Some of di naija people wey I see say e don go apply were too hurry abi dem no real di rules.

you funny man,  and when do you think ther won't be any more need for this thread,  because as far as I know,  newbies will keep popping up daily and they will need the help of that thread to showcase their quality posts,  for possible merits.

No, leave the thread open it will help newbies to get access to helpful threads,  I bet you also that this will encourage more quality posting in the general forum because what I have observed lately is that we have more high-quality newbies in the 9ja local board who are going to take advantage of of this window to maximize the needed merits to keep them going in high motivation.

So e makes sense we all go once,  once follow put mouth for the thread make we for keep the top of the board and easy visibility.

This is a good initiative by hugeblack. I think many people would find this thread of his very much deserving because so far there have been lots of application by local board reputable members In becoming a merit source as their various local boards are lacking merits as most of them do not comment on global thread where some merit sources do more activities than the local board.

Just like us here, we lack merit Source and with this initiative most locals that  are lacking in merit would be encouraged to do more because they would start seeing the results of their efforts here through this little medium created by hugeblack pending when we get our merit source approval from Theymos.

I just checked the hugeblack thread and I’ll say it is a very good initiative and if other merit sources that are been allocated plenty of Smerits can do the same, it’ll really help members of different local boards in the forum.

I also noticed that most of the applications there are mostly from our local board, and that shows that other members of other local boards have enough merit sources that have been distributing and doing their voluntary task for them as usual. When Theymos is accepting new merit sources, I hope he considers our local board merit source applicants too.

I got a notification about this thread earlier when it was created, checked on it a few minutes ago, and I noticed a lot of our S/brothers have made reports of their posts in there, which is a good thing that we are to use the opportunity wisely. I don't have much time this period, if not even as I'm not that always active on this one local board, I can still figure out a few quality posts that lack merit and could have done justice by reporting them for merit.

For those who have already submitted an application and the number of posts is not up to the 10 maximum required limit, it will also go a long way if you can still add posts of other members that you think are worth meriting, as not everyone will have the privilege of coming across the thread and doing a self-report. So IMO, it will be nice if we can also add the posts of others from our local board here.

I have not seen adding oneself posts but I asked the question. Waiting for a reply.

I think this is good because I didn't read this part of the whole story... Although I was actually thinking if you report someone else post they may feels is that person's alt account so this made me to stay clear from other people's post.
But at least this had give someone assurance to submit any post. Na wetin make e good to read post well and comprehend wetin dat post talk well before talking actions.

I think it was even the report other users posts that was clearly emphasised in the OP's post rather than reporting one's own, although all of them are still on the rules and not against the rules anyway.

I just realized that most members might also be thinking and picturing things the same way you viewed them in regard to others thinking they are reporting the post from their alt or something of that nature, but those shouldn't really be a limit or reason to not report it as everyone has different opinions over things, and you being the users who reported those posts knowing fully well that they are free from such allegations shouldn't bother you at all.

My broda no mind me, diz days the way I dy waka for the forum anytime way I get small chance I no they even remember when I don reach our local board and when I they for public place again, how me I wan carry leave to they yan language way I dy carry do conductor work for Ptakwa here?
