A good statistics to show Nigeria need more merits source to approved at least 2

Many of them have left the local because there's no much merit there. And those who spend most of their time on the board don't get merited as much  as they'll do on the main board because 1,

This should not be a reason to post or stop posting. The main motivation should be that you like it. Merits are an additional incentive.

I'm the only merit source and 2, low source merit. I saw you have 1k+ monthly and I barely have over 120+ meanwhile we have over 1k posts monthly on the board and that means only 100+ (quality posts) of those can be merited (that's if I send only 1 merit each for each quality posts that I come across).

@Rikafip's stats say otherwise, I quote

After about 3 to 6 months, if there is an improvement in the quality of the posts and the post/merit ratio, then you will have enough reason to claim a new source source with +200 Merit per month.

I have message theymos severally and when he was giving us the local baord I talked with him about the merit condition because that has been my allocation before the local board was created but his reply was that the forum isn't looking to add more merit to circulation and that's just frustrating to the local board but what can we do, most times I even keep my smerits earned from merit received for the baord just to keep the energy high on the board.

That sucks, but it just confirms smething that we suspected (or even knew) for some time, that he doesn't make any individual merit adjustments but instead he is doing it generally, and only when merit sent drops down significantly acoprss ther whole forum.

Last month 25727 merits were sent across the forum (which is very similar to the amount of merits sent after the last adjustment in July 2021 (26411) meaning there no significant drop. For example, prior to the last adjusment, 13289 merits were shared in May 2021 and only after that theymos reacted. Add on that fact that compared to the same time two years ago we now have ~50% less posts and active members so that means we might wait for quite some time for a new merit adjustment.

That's very thoughtful of you for such display of understanding. Accept my gratitude on beFull of the entire Naija board 🤗. I'm convinced it's a process you will, on hindsight, find fulfillment that you took this decision today.

Definitely, it will beat that threshold. The board has been very active and churning out constructive posts regardless of the austere merit it had been getting, you can imagine how it's going to be now that there's something compensatory on the way. The expectations will be high and the post quality will improve more.

Growth of Nigerian board is a proof that theymos did a right thing by giving you your own local board and getting few more merit sources can only help in that as I think that you have a potential to surpass Turkish board and who knows, maybe even come close to Russian.  

Who knows if this is the reason why we are no long going further because other local posters might feels discouraged on the local board, maybe putting their efforts on the general boards.. I know certainly we must be recorded amongst the top if this was given to us by Theymos.

Sincerely speaking I must commend you for your efforts towards the local board, if not you and Igebotz I wouldn't had known how the local board could have been by now, considering the facts that most of the users aren't gaining enough merits from the local but yet you do keeps your smerits to spread across the local board. Well let have to be thankful at least for given you an allocation of +100 merits but indepthly this is not encouraging at some point if not that I am committed to the local board I wouldn't had have that momentum and energy to keep the fire burning, but what do I do; I so much love my people in way that what affects the "eyes surely affects the nose" that is to say, this is a race for all and not one and I know too well that something positives is on it's way coming.

I think you are a sent to us, I don't really know how to thank you all but the love you have in Nigeria will definitely land you a beautiful woman in my Nigeria, that is if you aren't yet married, I must say if not that I have been taken I don't mind giving you the love for your perfect efforts towards our board.
Well, sorry to put much interest but I have subsequently interacted with few users across the forum and their response weren't encouraging; meaning they felt dishearten for no progress towards their ranking..

But I do uses myself to encourage and gives them some instances on how I do scale through the forum to get to this point which at some point I never had this mindsets of getting to this level but I was also geared up by some members over here, this made me scale through. Although I can't say I am comfortable with my current position but I have to be thankful at least to had leave the full member rank to Sr. Member which I believe in few months will be looking at Hero.
Actually what keeps me going was the knowledge I do derived here on a regular basis, so why should I be discourage? I won't but keep going till Theymos give's us what we wanted.

By the way, I really wants to say thank you for the little lift you gave to me by your smerits.. love you for that. We Nigerians we need merit sources in our local board to help Nigerians, at least the statistics of Rikafip has proved that nigeria needs merit sources, in some local board some of the new users learn of forum and master it very well through their locals board are growing because of some of their posts that deserve merit is being merited by their merit sources, some times so many of other locals users don't posts in English board until they get more stronger with the experience they acquire in their local board. It's needful for thermos to make at least three or two active nigeria person a merit sources to help nigeria.

From the statistics of SmartGold01 you will know that the numbers of participants that submitted applications in hugeblack thread for meriting local boards active participants is from Nigeria, only that alone should showcase that Nigerians need support from thermos to grant our request.

You don't need to ask the total number of nigeria who is active in the local,  what you need to do, is to visit naija Local board by yourself and see how fast the thread of our discussion is being move and being active for discussion both the old threads and new established threads. Nigerians are active in locals more than in English discussing board's and mostly the new people in the forum. I think someone have give some figures as active Nigerians.

This statistics alone is a clear evidence by everyone that for nigeria to have more wings and have more popularity is when we have some people that will motivate us, some of nigeria people lack smerit to merit some of the quality posters because they don't have smerit, with this statistics if we have a merit we will be populated than this year 2023 active numbers.

You are right though so many Nigerians do like to post both in English board and local board, when you make a compiled list of nigeria who is not active in local boards they are few, and if have a merit sources many Nigerians will be posting more in the locals than the English board.even if Nigerians should be given a merit sources not everyone will be merited, mostly shitposters will not be expecting a merit sources to merit a trash posts, the one's that will benefit mostly is the people that make formative posts.

Hey dear you did a very good capturing concerning our local board looking too well it's a shameful thing as you may have seen it, we can't actually stop moving till we are being considered to give us more merits sources and also increased that of Brainboss I think with 3 quality source we are expected to grow exponentially than what we have recorded before. Nigerians are more than other local board in thee hugeblack thread. Another question come to my mind is that, Will this reduce when finally the Nigeria local board application for merit sources are approved? Well that will be a discussion for another day. theymos has a lot of works to do and always busy but that is not withstanding for him to approve and allocate merits to sources. Probably he is working with time and the time to have not reached for him to approve merit sources. And if theymos did not approve these merit sources till December this year then it will be a surprise package and gifr for new year (2024).

Both igebotz and Rikafip monthly statistics has shown everything that Nigeria local board needs the Merit Sources urgently and also I will use this opportunity say this. The merit allocation for CryptopreneurBrainboss is too small, other Merit Sources mostly in the general boards shared Merit allocation of 500 or there about but CryptopreneurBrainboss is allocated with 50 or there about and this information is true then we are also appealing to theymos to increase the number for CryptopreneurBrainboss. Nigeria is growing rapidly in the Bitcoin Ecosystem and it is manifesting in the Bitcointalk Forum as well. We are also trying our best on the physical world to make sure that Nigerians adopt bitcoin for their daily business transactions

Op, I, as a very good Nigerian, I am so happy to see this discussion here on the META board because for over a long period of time, we as a Nigerian have been facing a dolor situation because we have having just 1 merit source with no much sendable merits, (if am not mistaking) and it's choking us, although there are 3 Nigerians who have already applied for merits source already and we all know, but @Theymos haven't respond to us and I don't know why, maybe @Theymos have been busy all these while that's why he's not having time to come to the forum, I believe that if @Theymos grants our local board wishes he will not be disturb until our Nigerian board is more bigger than it is now.
1 merit source alone can never reach out to the whole board no matter how active the person may be, because as a human, you must need time for yourself and all the rest. Besides, somebody must be doing a job to support themselves outside the forum. If only one merit source has 200 to 300 sendable merits, it will not reach out to every quality post. Just imagine a good quality post that is supposed to receive 10 merits receiving just 5 because of no merits.

Good work OP, you did a great job putting this together. It seems to me that we have to be patient when it comes to requests that need the big man approval especially one that has to do with merits. The Sceptical Chymist as well as other merit sources have been asking for an increase to his monthly merit allocation but I don’t think anything has been done in that regard. It took us a long time to get a local board and I hope it won’t take that long to give us merit sources for our board.

The chart shows nominally those that have sent merits to the local Nigerian board, focusing on 2023, and specifically on those that have sent over 25 sMerits (which is a low bar toll for YTD). The data shows, besides the local Merit Source, the presence of a bunch of meriting guests which are foreign to the local board, that manage to contribute somewhat to the merit toll awarded there. Locals will be able to interpret better the above data, though it does look like there aren’t all that many local effective meriters with a noticeable meriting capacity, considering the board has 100++ monthly active users.

Our board is always active with quality posts of relevant bitcoin discussions and other related topics.
