Seeing how Brazil played yesterday, I felt like they are have lost it. They are in somewhat of a mess. But not at crisis levels yet. That style we used to know them for isn’t there anymore.

And it only seems to get worse, doesn't it? Have to say to take the last game out of the equation somewhat, with the preceding situation and all that. Didn;t watch but reports agree the flank loading and speed just didn't work out -- curious if Ance gets there and if he does, how he might steady that ship.

I think Ancelotti is very respectful of Real Madrid and doesn't want to lose focus of his work because it will generate a lot of questions, so he should really deny any news for the time being

If anyone can provide it then Ancelotti will give it a good go. Otherwise, Brazilian football certainly will be in crisis. I don't think Brazil's only solution is a foreign coach, because there are good Brazilian coaches who could lead the national team. The lack of definition is even worse because there won't be a proper sequence of work, and the current coach is working in Fluminense and the national team, without total focus
But I think Ancelotti or even another foreigner would be good to deal with the players who mostly play in Europe and would certainly add a lot of experience to the group

Welcome back qualifier match for CONMEBOL zone

Brazil national team standings dropped to 6th as the latest standings directly qualify to FIFA World Cup 2026 after having bad performance in last several matches. Next tomorrow day will face Ecuador and securing three points will make them reach to 4th standings place depend Venezuela match result against Bolivia. For CONMEBOL zone have six national teams participants will automatically qualify to World Cup 2026 and the 7th standings place have to play on playoff round against Oceania teams participants.

For this international break out, all national team have two qualifying matches and Brazil will face Ecuador then Paraguay four days later after their first match.
Brazil have bad performance in qualifier matches after losing 3 of 8 matches and 2 winning matches then have one match being draw, the qualifier round still have many 12 matches left and Brazil still get opportunity break out to the top standings position depend on their performance.

My observations for the next rounds

Round 8 - 10 September


Brazil have probably improved and will get the 6 points, giving them some relief and at least 4th place

Venezuela will have a tough game against Uruguay

Colombia will have a very good game against Argentina again, and will have the chance for a rematch, probably a draw

I don't see any of the teams having an easy time getting the 6 points, but in theory Brazil is the one with the easiest opponents (only in theory hehehe)

When ever these Conmebol countries are facing each other, it's usually easy to predict the outcome of the games and that I think have gone a long way in limiting the excitement that comes with the qualifiers.

We thought the match between Argentina and Chile would be exciting and interesting but it was not. This match was completely one sided. These qualifiers are the most unpredictable I can remember since 1994 (the first edition I watched)

It's interesting to note that for the 1994 World Cup, also in the United States, Brazil had serious problems and only qualified in the last round, with the help of a combination of results from Bolivia and Ecuador, after that Brazil won the title

Today there are 3 matches going on and I have two of them to be interested in following how the final results are, from what I expected and saw to analyze there is one that does not match expectations.
First is Uruguay vs Paraguay which gives Uruguay an advantage as the host and I think seeing Uruguay far superior with better performance quality than Paraguay can provide an easy victory for Uruguay, but in the end the match was quite fierce with Uruguay dominance but ended in 0 - 0 draw.
Second is Brazil vs Ecuador and the match also showed Brazil advantage, Brazil was able to take advantage of all the advantages to get narrow 1 - 0 victory.
I took Uruguay and Brazil as favorites but unfortunately Uruguay failed to win as I expected.

Brazil has a lot of star players in its squad. Almost every player in the squad is linked to the biggest clubs in Europe and earn high wages. But the problem is, even though these players can perform well with the club, the performance of the players with the national team is very poor. "In the Copa America, we saw a very erratic performance from Brazil's players. And yet I see no way to say this team's performance is too strong.

Ecuador was not a strong opponent. However, Brazil won the match by a narrow margin of 1–0. Still, I'd say Brazil's current state is shaky, so a narrow win in this match is enough for them. And Brazil is happy with this victory.

I don't know why the Brazil coach doesn't include Raphinha in his squad. Raphinha is a very talented player. The Brazil coach could have given Raphinha a chance in Henrique's position. It appears that if they play well in one match, they are playing poorly in five matches, that is, they are not able to perform consistently. Argentina won 3-0 against Chile. I'm feeling they performed far better than what they did in Copa. They looked so much better in defending, pressing and ball winning. They're massively improving. I think dybala was MOTM in this game, this was because they looked so much better when he came in.

It feels like Dybala got magic after he wore Messi's number. He has to start in the upcoming game against Colombia. I think they can beat Colombia easily as long as they can still perform at the current rate.
