I really hate Brazil and would love to see them not qualifying for the next FIFA World Cup. But they have won 3 out of the 4 matches they have played in this tournament this year. The only loss was to Paraguay, but then they more than made it up with big wins against Chile and Peru. Their next match is against a relatively weaker team (Venezuela). Qualification should be easy for them, as they are in 4th position in the points table. Back in 2023, they were languishing at the 6th spot.

The odds illustrate that Brazil will be able to easily beat Venezuela and indeed if you compare the strength and depth of the squad of the two teams Brazil is superior but their current performance is not so convincing especially in their first meeting before Venezuela managed to beat Brazil as an away team. And here they are at home advantage I think regardless of the odds of 1.55 given by bookies to Brazil. the chances of each team for now in my opinion are 50/50 which means both teams can beat each other.

To be honest, I'm not surprised by this result. As we've all seen in recent years, Brazil has become a weak team that wins certain games, but overall, Brazil is no longer a strong and fearsome team like it used to be. But in that game, Vinicius Jr. missed a penalty and I think it was clear why he didn't win the best player in the world category. As long as Brazil keeps hiring national coaches who haven't managed to achieve great international successes, I highly doubt they'll be able to win the World Cup any time soon.

Paraguay 2 - 1 Argentina

I'm not surprised by this result either. In my opinion, it's time to change this coach. It seems like he focuses too much on players from big teams, even without seeing if they're performing well on those other teams. I'm not going to mention the names of players he hasn't hired in a long time, even when those players aren't injured and are playing well. but in my opinion I see him now at risk of being fired if he continues to lose in the next games.

Argentina's players performed very well in the beginning of the match and Argentina took the lead with a goal in the 11th minute, but Paraguay responded to Argentina's goal in the 19th minute. Overall, Argentina's attack and possession of the ball were the most, while Paraguay's possession was very low and their attack was not that much. However, after half-time, Paraguay scored another goal and later, although the Argentine team attacked enough, they could not succeed. Basically, I think Argentina was not destined to win this match, which is why they lost this match against Paraguay, of course, Argentina will have to dominate more in the next matches. Since the next match will be against Peru, Argentina's victory can be assured if they can attack strongly in this match.

Messi had a chance to score in the 25th minute of the match but was unable to do so. If he could have scored, the first session might have ended with an equaliser, but Molina's cross failed to net. sometimes I wonder why it's sometimes deficult for some players that are doing well at club side to replicate same kind of attitude when it comes to playing for there national team. For some continent that have a different kind of football from what's obtainable at the club side, it's understandable that some of them might not be used to that kind of games but when you're looking at Brazil squad that are almost playing at same leagues, it's strange to see that they don't tent to perform to expectations. Vini jnr is going to struggle in winning the balon d'or untill he's able to show that he's a able to replicate the kind of performance he's playing at his club in the Brazil national team.

He's a fighter and regardless of losing the penalty, he still tried and made some evident impact in the game. It's a work in progress and I believe  with time he's going to start putting up an impressive performance for his national team.

The match between Argentina and Paraguay broke the heart of many around the globe and also i am sure lost of people have lost their bet on this match as Argentina was the favorite team and most people bet on them.

Argentina got the lead in the 11 minutes but it was soon levelled by Sanabria few minutes later. In the 47 minutes, Alderete got the lead for Paraguay and it turned out to be the match winning one. The match had some heated moments too as Lionel Messi showed his frustration to the referee Anderson Daronco as he didn't want to lose and doing childish acts.  

Being the most experienced player, he should have shown a big heart.

I completely overlooked these ties last night! Brazil will qualify, they already know they can't do much better, so the handicap for opponent was always value. I even missed Argentina odds.

I thought it would win, even if there was a surprise, they could beat the “weaker” teams

I agree that Argentina may not be playing 100% and that's why they've failed to win some games, but Brazil's case is different in my opinion
The team isn't getting it right even though they're trying their best, and that's worrying, because the 2026 World Cup is almost upon us, there's not that much time to change everything again
