These matches don't make any sense. Argentina was clearly superior to Paraguay, but didn't manage beating them. Brazil was clearly superior to Venezuela, but also failed scoring once more. Brazil's next two games are against Venezuela and Uruguay. I believe that Uruguay will be the most difficult. I agree, the coach needs to be changed, or at least the team's tactics. They haven't won anything for a while and they need to show that they are at least interested in winning. If they go to the World Cup with this game, they won't even make it to the second round.

I find it very strange to see Chile at the bottom of the standings, it is not that I don't watch football anymore, of course I watch more European football but I remember Chile to be a great team not many years ago and I don't understand why they are so down. Brazil is on improvement mode but still needs to be more aggressive in coming games while now their spot is already fixed for the World Cup 2026 but if they want to have better results they needed their attack is having more firepower with their defense is also needed to be more effective currently in top 6 teams they have the weakest defense which conceded 10 goals.

Dorival Junior is doing decent job with few still having concerns about his ability, but we have no better coach in Brazil who can manage things like him until world cup 2026 coming game against Uruguay at home is going to be interesting because here we need a win from them at Estádio Fonte Nova we have no win for the Uruguay against Brazil in last 10 games which give them good advantage, but their current performance is surely not as we have them in the past.

I want to believe that you actually do not have good knowledge of the Uruguay team for you to make such statement because the Uruguay I know is very capable of beating any team in the world on their day even without some of their best players.  Glad you know they had a the better of Brazil in the last two meetings and that goes a long way to tell you how strong they are as a team. A classic example of this that I can remember is when Neymar scored his last goal for the national team. There were 5 minutes left in the game and all they had to do was hold on, but Fred went up. Yes you are right and the result is very beyond expectations with Brazil failure to win, on the other hand Argentina also experienced the same thing with 2 - 1 defeat from Paraguay which made many people feel disappointed with all these results.
Seeing the Brazil squad filled with fairly perfect line-up of players but they lack confidence to be able to play optimally, managed to dominate the game but failed to get goal advantage with the various opportunities they got, I pessimistic whether Brazil will be able to qualify easily later.

I dont know what Alfaro does with his national teams but it works in an oustading way, is just incredible how he manage to do magic with stones, he do a super team with Ecuador in the past putting them on the world cup, after he took Costa Rica for a few games and give them some excelent results in copa America, and now he makes a super comeback with one of the worst Paraguay i remember, but now they beat Brazil and Argentina.

I share the same opinion as the @criptoevangelista, a coach makes all the difference in the team/selection, with rare exceptions, these players have training methods and conditions different from the legacy brazilian method that is being outdated, today football is more tactical and aggressive, there is no longer much space for a Pelé, for example, to dribble field all the players and get into the goal.
