I couldn't predict the result because of thinking Uruguay would win.    Because you know their previous h2h. They beat Argentina away then. But we couldn't see the same exact dedication this time.

Argentina should get used to playing like this without Messi as of now. He is 37 and maybe even his retirement time might not be so far away from us. At least from the national team. But I still expect him in the next World Cup one last time.

Uruguay is under perform in this match, you know players like Nunez usually perform when he play in national team and Valverde the most consistent player not perform. Argentina looks great actually, they have so many midfielders, even players like Nico Paz and De Paul are on bench.

I can't wait for the World Cup, I think Spain should able to overtake Argentina. Spain is just too strong now, even though if we judge based on the players value, both France and Argentina are higher than Spain.

Me, too. I was also expecting a dull draw between Argentina and Uruguay. I never expected the only goal came from Alamada. I also thought that he should be subbed off during the first half. *lol. That was a pleasant surprise seeing him scored the only goal in this game.

As for their game, they're good overall, but feel so stressed when i saw Enzo and Molina who being so clueless whole game. It seems playing without messi made them lack of creativity, but it's good to move on from Messi's era.

Ecuador are surprising a lot lot people, for sure they have a good squad but nobody except them to be 2nd after match day 13, they are doing absolutely well at the moment, they beat Venezuela 2-1 with Valencia scoring 2 goals, had the opportunity to scored a hat trick from the spot but fail to convert.

Argentina team is full of great talents that can make big difference in their team. Messi is a great figure in the team and everyone would have loved him to be part of the team. But I think their match against Brazil is usually an interesting one with or without Messi. These two countries have amazing talents and the tension between them whenever they play is something that's entertaining on it's own. Argentina has to start looking at a future without Messi, they should start realising that Messi might not be with them After 2026 world cup. The match is a must watch for every lover of good and entertaining football. At least Brazil won't have anything to fear now that Argentina are without Messi. There are only 5 matches remaining of qualifiers, so only 5 more official matches for Brazil
After that, only friendly matches, and like I said, this is very worrying, I think Dorival Jr can do a lot better than what's he doing right now

Not sure if it's a matter of need, just a matter of getting a team that works on the formation and roles properly. You can generally build a club team around personnel, but national teams need an identity. See: Haaland.
