Coinomi is really back

I don't really care about the UI, but I may consider them again considering in the future. When I left Coinomi, I went to Unstoppable, but Litecoin hasn't been working for almost a week now.

So, while you're testing it: does Monero work again in Coinomi? Have you tried Cake wallet? I'm curious how they compare, but don't want to install apps when it's not absolutely necessary.

I had a bad experience with Unstoppeable, as they have no Coin control, no sign message, basic bitcoin wallet features. I don't remember exactly, but Unstoppeable and Cake wallet were not ideal solutions for me to use Monero.

I am using monero in my Exodus wallet (which was better for my needs than those).

But I  will uninstall Exodus as soon as I get some time to empty the wallets and transfer everything to coinomi (and I need to change some addresses which are linked to exodus as well)

I didn't like Coin Control on Coinomi either: all I could do was freeze inputs, which is a lot more work than selecting the right inputs. I don't like message signing (or typing in general) on mobile, so I don't miss that feature.

I understand,  but i don't hold many inputs there, so it's ok for me.

Much better than have no coin control, like unstoppeable.

Not working yet. Still block -1 in the sync status.

I already told you and few other members a while ago that Unstoppable wallet added coin control, it's easy to verify that in settings.

As for exodus wallet I would never use it as alternative to anything, they are closed source and I am sure they are spying on users, also their exchange partners are freezing user coins when doing a swap.

I didn't check if it was available for Litecoin because I didn't use LTC with Unstoppable wallet.
I just checked now and YES there is UTxO Expert Mode switch that can be enabled for Litecoin also.

Maybe Tor switch is causing some problems, and you can also should also check if Litecoin is using Blockchair API for syncing blockchain, they claim this fixed some issues in one of the latest releases:

Stack wallet supports LTC and is very good, although i haven't tested any coin other than bitcoin. But i think it's worth our attention.

Remember that for each coin you add to the stack, it creates a new seed or you can restore an existing one. You can also export an encrypted file containing all your wallets.

I wish Coinomi had a similar feature.

That kinda defeats the purpose of having seed words. It's very convenient if you only need to secure them once.

If you need an extra seed on the same app for whatever reason, you can just create a new wallet. Coinomi allows that .

Yes, coinomi allows you to create multiple wallets. You can choose to simply add new coins with the seed previously configured or create a new seed. However, in the stack you must create a new one or restore an existing one.

Some users don't like to manage more than 1 coin in the same seed and therefore create others, since most users use the same seed to manage dozens of coins (or shitcoins) and tokens and I don't think this is a good practice.

Or a new seed doesn't even need to be created, just create passphrases!

Coinomi allows the same seed for monero as well.

There are just small steps you need to do to recover it in different wallets using the same seed, as it goes to a different derivation path than usual. But I was able to recover it in another wallet when coinomi stopped working

Coinomi have been receiving constant updates , just updated my app today.

I am using it again, happy to see it is back.

I even made a quick swap LTC > btc yesterday from inside the wallet. No kyc, no questions, easy to use. Only 60 usd, but worked well

Monero has been broken for about 3 years now. I don't know what they're "updating", but clearly it's not their backend Monero server....

I'm starting to think they don't want to support Monero anymore. EU is more and more anti-privacy, exchanges are forced to delist privacy coins, and I wouldn't be surprised if wallets are the next target.

Or (and I'm only speculating here) maybe they just don't care because they don't earn from Monero swaps.

Which third party exchanges are they using for the swaps? Their website claims they have established partnerships with several decentralized exchanges. But something tells me that is false and they still rely on services like Changelly, ChangeNOW, or something similar. Coinomi's swap feature on the website mentions Changelly. If it's that, it's neither decentralized nor privacy-preserving or KYC-free.
