I don't think it has anything to do with the server connection.

I'm not sure about that but if you use "Resynchronize", the icon coincides with the message "No connection. Your funds are safe" while it's red.
Then, the Blockchain tip's height displays as it turns green.
And synchronization, involves their server.

But it's closed-source so I can't totally confirm that icon's whole purpose.

Thanks, but once your transactions show (with green connection), that should be enough to tell that it's working.

BTW, it doesn't turn gray on my end, normally or when resyncing the wallet.

There's "news": when I click Monero in Coinomi 1.65.0, it says:

Update available!
Update to version 1.65.0 to begin syncing your XMR wallet. Contact our support for any issues you face

Version 1.65.3 says exactly the same. It's been broken for 3.5 years now.

Inside the wallet there are 3 buttons to make exchanges.
 a swap button
another button called DEX.
And another one called Jupiter

These are different things.

For DEX they use BEBOP  , ethereum only

 Jupiter is a Dex for solana chain.

They also have the swap button. In the swap, they state that your coins may trigger kyc due to AML rules.

Be warned before making a monero exchange in Coinomi wallet.
You may complete the exchange, but you may have to recover your monero coins in another wallet to spend them.

Hmm... so apparently it's working (partially) regarding new transactions, but Coinomi ignores old transactions entirely or is it taking some time for them to appear?

Some XMR wallets require the user to specify the block height to scan transactions, Coinomi doesn't have that, right?

Coinomi xmr wallet is just like a bitcoin  wallet.

You have your address, block height, receive,  send..

It is a very good UI imo. Unfortunately,  transactions history is bugged

I didn't understand the reason of this button, I selected it and then the "send" tab appeared.

But now, when I try to send and enter the amount and address, the "confirm" button is not selectable (it's grayed out, indicating that the button cannot be clicked).

I tried changing the fee, I used Send All, tried sending a smaller amount and nothing changed...

Here's my best guess:
I noticed that your "Unlocked Balance" (I used Google translate on "saldo desbloqueado") is still zero.
So, that could be their implementation of the standard 10-block confirmation that's required by most XMR wallets to spend recently received UTXO.

If it's processed after a while without you doing anything, my guess must be true.
Otherwise, it's something else.

I deleted my Coinomi wallet and restored the seed: the $0.05 in XMR that's currently confirming shows up, but yesterday's $0.02 is gone. Update: it showed up again!

I'm no expert on Monero, but I think it needs access to keys to process incoming transactions (as part of it's privacy features).

I didn't realize it until now, and indeed my last dust transaction paid $0.03 in Bitcoin. But to be fair, Monero is a lot faster at that rate.

You need to wait your transactions to "received" not "not processed" to spend. I think

I did both. I noticed you have some balance left, while I clicked MAX to send. I can manually enter an amount to send, that works. It's interesting to note I couldn't send the full amount: balance minus transaction fee still showed "internal transfer", and I think that's what the MAX button attempts to do. I now left 0.00000001 XMR in Coinomi and could send almost my entire balance. The XMR wallet needs some work

I don't know about coinomi but all other wallets I used have the option to manually choose fees for monero.
Honestly I would never use coinomi crap when there is very good Cake wallet, and all other options.
Unlike coinomi they actively work on code all the time I post regular updates.

You can set fees, but it's in "advanced settings". The Monero default is 0.002 XMR per kb. The default fees are very high for all coins, but for Monero I wasn't sure what to lower it to. Going back and forth through the menu to save a few cents got boring

I think you are too harsh in your opinion about coinomi dkbit98 . And you never used it.

Coinomi isn't crap. There is a bug in transaction history monero wallet, but the wallet is working to send and receive and set fees. Better than 90% of monero wallets.

Coinomi is working since 2014 and have a solid reputation. It supports basically all coins in existence,  they offer some exchanges integration, good UI and many advamced feafures for each blockchain.

You can use coinomi just alone in your phone instead of one wallet for each blockchain
