BetKing.io Token Refunds - $44k refunded since going live again

This thread is for any investors who purchased BKB during the ICO in 2017 that may not be in the Telegram group or receive emails.

Quick history:
We launched an ICO in 2017 that raised $6 million.
When we closed the last time, investors still held over $2 million worth of tokens that we were trying to refund but couldn't due to the site not able to turn a profit.
The other investors had sold their tokens in the old buy back program (some made a profit) or were refunded in other ways since then.

We are now in a better place to start refunding the remaining token holders.

The https://betking.io website went live about 6 weeks ago with the purpose of being a convenient place for old token holders to receive refunds.

At this time there is no way for any players to deposit and play.
We don't have time to run BetKing as a casino at this time.

We may open to deposits and add extra games in future if we can find someone to run and market the site.

All BKB holders who had an account and tokens on site after 2019 (after the last software update) are automatically receiving refunds from the pool.

If you had an account in 2017 but didn't have a balance in your account in 2019 your old account will not work. You would need to make a new one and then prove ownership of tokens.

The rate is $0.09128 yes, that was the price of the token after the ICO ended. Most investors bought the tokens cheaper in the earlier stages of the ICO.

Betking is a Bitcoin casino and this topic is not about ICO/Altcoin alone because they are not selling tokens anymore. They are refunding users of this casino that affected when they are out of business which happened that involved their token but they are Bitcoin casino. It’s like the discussion of BFG tokens on Betfury Ann Gambling board.

They will get more visibility to all the casino player victims sake here on gambling board compared to altcoin board since players here doesn’t visit that board often. This thread is for affected players/investors of this casino like me. You can just skip this thread if you are not one of the victim.

I believe by now many would had forgotten about this project or lost access but with pm to those who participated they will remember and respond to you.

This is not a good solution because they don’t have list of investors. ICO doesn’t have KYC during that time and anyone can purchase tokens anonymously using a thrash email.

Maybe new member will only fogot this project but those who invest and play here will never forget since Betking is popular brand that time or else their trust score will not be bombarded by bunch of negative trust from multiple DT. Typically, Scam mediocre casino only receive 1-2 neg rrust when they become scam.

There is no problems just that there are no efforts from members who are affected or where victim of this site, although I was only suggesting because they could get attention over there as well or possibly can make another announcement over there.
I was only looking at gaining a wider audience (those who are in one way or the other affected) by the site to come back claim their lost, but if you says this board is okay then no issues.

I became aware of Betking a few years after it became a scam, I'm sure you're going to get your refund, that's the purpose of this thread I wonder do they have a plan to reopen in the future, They mentioned at this time in their post that is why they are refunding and trying to clean their name

At this time there is no way for any players to deposit and play.
We don't have time to run BetKing as a casino at this time.

The casino industry is very robust new casinos are being launched If ever will they have a chance to get back after this issue, hopefully, investors will see this thread and get a chance to get their refund, after a very long time.

Hi, I was one of the investors in the Betking ICO in 2017, possibly even one of the largest investors at the time. There have been many years of discussion about how things went wrong and what happened to the site.

I, like many people, have never known for sure what happened but I can confirm that I've started to see refunds for my tokens and this is the first time since the casino failure years ago that I had any refund. In about 3 months I've gotten back about 2% of my investment, but it's real money successfully withdrawn from the site. It's a hopeful sign because if I was made whole it would be absolutely life changing.

I’m already on the process of refund since Dean already ask my wallet address to receive the funds yesterday although he become inactive after our last conversation. Still understandable since today is weekends and he fulfilled his promise that he will contact me yesterday. I'm positive that this refund will be successful.

My suggestion therefore is to send email messages to accounts that registered with them rather than relying on the this thread alone.

It is not an easy job but if they show dedication and are transparent and honest on rebuilding their reputation they can do it but it's not going to be easy, people will still doubt them and it will take time, but they have done the right now.

Hopefully, we'll get more updates on refunding their investors.

It’s been 3 days since my last email to Betking that is still not replied by them. I’m still waiting for the wallet address which I should send my BKB tokens to claim my refund.

Although I’m not that much paying importance to this refund since I consider this already as loss money the day this token failed due to Betking bankruptcy. I will be happy if they refund. Actually, I’m just checking it regularly just to give update on this thread.

It's still needed to give warnings because such businesses can play the trick once again with the victims who were affected by the ICO fraud that Betking.io did with them. I know that the title of the thread is for refunding and they said that they have refunded $38k but still that amount is nothing against $6 million. I'm not accusing them because if they are going to refund the users then that's going to help them regain some trust. I hope Eternad and others will get their money refunded by Betking.io and if they does then that's something unbelievable, and surely it will be a hard thing for them to refund each investors but if they successfully does that then they may gain some trust once again.

Just to correct a common repeated mistake in your post.
 
The ICO did raise $6 million.
$1 million of that investment was money I put in myself. I'm not looking to make that back.
$5 million came from other investors. Most of it was profit they had made from BetKing pre ICO, when we had a crowdfunded bankroll.

The amount we are trying to refund is over $2 million.
That shows the initial investors actually received almost $3 million back before we closed..
Almost all of those investors made a profit due to buying with 25% discount in the ICO. The tokens were bought back by BetKing at a higher price.

The refunds are for the unfortunate investors who never sold any tokens in buybacks or received any other form of refunds.

$2 million is a huge amount to be refunding out of my own pocket but it's certainly more probable than refunding $6 million, that people commonly mistake the number to be.

Last thing. There is no desire for me to open BetKing at all. It is currently closed for deposits.

The only way I would re-open it is if, and only if, there was a chance that a good portion of old players would return and it had a high chance of being able to make profit that could speed up investor refunds. This is obviously unlikely.
If we did open and the site made enough to refund investors, I would close it the next day.
I have no interest in making money from BetKing personally.

This is the first time I am seen this in the forum and the casino me looks familiar, though I have not participated in their games before the name sound familiar. I just checked the google search engine to confirm the one I know. The domain names are not the same but they are similar. The one I know is betking.com https://mlite.betking.com/en/sports. Well Op I can see that you have a heavy negative tags in your profile and I believe for your to clear that negative trust is not hard if really you have truly repented and clear all refunds. Because it was users that reported you to be tagged and the same users will still report you to be a good casino that has repaid all the token. So the genuineness of what you are saying is best. We are all human, we have feelings what you did to them hurt them and now that you are back to refund the token to them, it is a good move you have taken, let it be legit.

When you have re-funded all the money back to the owners and do the right thing then the forum will still give you trust back. The real trust is from the mind. So go and sin no more.
