Hi i was just curious if anyone could help me out and tell me why my btc transaction has been unconfirmed for over a week now and if there is absolutely anything at all that i could do, and if it will be confirmed or not i am rather new to crypto, anything will help and i appreciate it greatly. Thank you so much! https://mempool.space/tx/3a88b7e9edb449562f6a62e05e763d3890b7ffb52b5e8d0c21a19a2f1b2bd042

Ive seen that you do set out that fee of; Fee rate 6.85 sat/vBWhich basing up on the mempool.space we do have currently this fee rates. Low Priority 16 sat/vB $0.58 Medium Priority 16 sat/vB $0.58 High Priority 16 sat/vB $0.58 https://mempool.space/So you would really be needing to wait for the network traffic to go down because seeing on the transaction it had been shown that you cant really be able to make use RBF which is a common feature when using up electrum which you could possibly be able to edit or increase your fees basing up on the current network fees. We've been seeing 1 sat/byte transactions though and there's some recent spike on transactions in the network which causes up for fees to increase somewhat but its not really that much though. A little patience would really be needing before this transaction would be getting confirmed.

Oh ok thanks i don’t know if the sending end or receiving end could change the rate on block chain on an unconfirmed transaction is that a possibility?

Do you have control over any of receiving addresses? In other words, do you own the private key of bc1qdxsl5yglz2wl09l6xv9e5qz7zjzlmzyaspzneg or 19VqpsRY85mcHXsJjJXF1AzTYwtdZRiE8G? If so, you can import your private key into a wallet allowing you to spend unconfirmed output and do CPFP.
In CPFP (child pay for parent) method, the unconfirmed output is spent with a high fee in a new transaction, so that miners include both transaction in the same block.

To put in a less complicated sense for you, on how low your transaction fee that would resonate on the time for your transaction getting confirmed, if you had put in a higher transaction fee your transaction would have been confirmed by now. But he reassured your coin isn't lot and depending on the traffic and congestion you should be receiving the fund to where you send it.

The receiving addresses is Cashapp address, but what about the wallet that you make the transaction from? Cashapp address starts from 1 right? But you make the transaction from bc1 address? The change address will start with bc1. Get the seed phrase or the private key of the the wallet you made the transaction, import the seed phrase or private key on Electrum or a wallet that you can use coin control. Use coin control to spend the coin on the other address that you are seeing on the explorer which is not Cashapp address that starts from 1. Use high fee that can get two transactions included in a black fast because you are making another transaction, making two transactions. With that you pump the fee of the unconfirmed transaction.

The receiving address have got nothing to do with the confirmation time or speed at which a coin is being or would be delivered. All it does is simply at the word, receive. Where there could be some manipulations to alter the speed of deliver is at the senders end. Over a week has been such a long time to have been waiting on the confirmation of your transaction but, haven’t sent it with just 6sat/byte means, you could be waiting a long time to beat time here. You need not find your wallet anymore if that be your last coins, just go over to bump your transaction fee to 15-20sat/byte and you would have it confirmed in no time. It wouldn’t count you much depending on the number of confirmations you would get on the transaction.

That is why such wallets are not really good because you do not have full control over your bitcoin or transactions. Do you have any contact with the person who sent you the bitcoins? Or did you acquire them through a centralized exchange? They should be able to increase the transaction fee from their end to get the transaction confirmed.
The receiving address have got nothing to do with the confirmation time or speed at which a coin is being or would be delivered. All it does is simply at the word, receive. Where there could be some manipulations to alter the speed of deliver is at the senders end.
This is not entirely true because the receiver can theoretically create a new transaction with unconfirmed inputs and use CPFP to pay the fee for both transactions.

According to cash app support withdrawal is to any address but deposits is to the segwit addresses. But the transaction isn’t looking as though he is receiving in segwit address currently because the receiver address from the explorer is certainly a legacy address while the sending address and the corresponding address is both segwit. Get the seed phrase or the private key of the the wallet you made the transaction, import the seed phrase or private key on Electrum or a wallet that you can use coin control. Use coin control to spend the coin on the other address that you are seeing on the explorer which is not Cashapp address that starts from 1. Double spending the transaction from the senders end is the only way out now just like you have started but the problem now is, he can only do that if he is not sending from an exchange or any of the wallet that is cannot be imported into electrum @OP I would advise you take caution of depositing on exchanges like Cash App that holds keys in there custody even if you want to don’t leave your funds there for long, just so you know Not your Keys, Not your coins

I tend to agree if the wallet sender supports RBF that would be a great option to boost the transaction using double spending but if on exchange there's nothing he can do but wait until it is confirmed. It's two weeks have passed and eventually, if the transaction does not push through in 14 days, it will drop from the mempool and back to the sender's wallet. I think OP needs a few more days before that will happen since it was already 14 days have passed. We should always check the mempool space for the transaction fee if you're in a hurry and don't use below 10 sat/vB fee for transactions because it will eventually stuck and you need to wait a couple of days. Use a high fee if necessary for convenient transactions based on mempool space transaction status.

Where did you send the fund from? One of the receiving addresses is probably the change address and you have control over that, you can still do CPFP. But looks unbelievable with your bitcoin transaction, have been 10 and 18 hours transaction still pending yet with network kinds is segwit, usually with this network are easily for transaction confirming and without waiting one or two hours transaction will complete.
This is completely wrong. First, there is no such thing as segwit network. There's only one bitcoin network. Second, it's not that transactions are usually confirmed in 1-2 hours if you use segwit addresses. Miners prioritize transactions based on their fee rate and the confirmation time depends on how busy the network is and the fee rate (in sat/vbyte) you used for your transaction. And where did you get the 10 and 18 hours from? OP's transaction was made around 11 days ago and that's still unconfirmed.

~ This is completely wrong. Exactly. Expressing your opinion is one thing, but providing entirely worthless and false information to someone's question is counterproductive to the purpose of this forum. We need a downvote function on this forum!

If you have the technical knowledge, you will know what is causing the delay for a transaction not to have been confirmed fast. The main problem is the fee rate that was used. If you go and check the mempool fee rate suggested for fast confirmation, your transaction would be confirmed in most probably the next block or in a block that is not far away but that will be soon mined. You do not need to check the fee rate from time to time, use a wallet that has RBF, check the mempool, use the suggested fee rate and your transaction would be fast if you use the fee rate that can make the transaction to be confirmed in the next block. What I just noticed is that many people like to use altcoin wallet with bitcoin and they do not have the opportunity to use RBF because those altcoins wallets are not having RBF.

Using a Bitcoin wallet with RBF (Replace by Fee) to bump fee later is good advice but what are altcoin wallets with bitcoin? Bitcoin is different than altcoins with smart contracts and you can not use altcoin wallets to deposit and move your bitcoin. They have altcoins like wrapped tokens but those tokens are not bitcoin, they are tokens and peg by bitcoin.

He is talking about multi-currency wallets like Trust Wallet, Atomic etc etc. As you may already know, the Trust wallet is a multi-currency wallet where you can use a lot of currencies in a single wallet, including Bitcoin. But those wallets do not have extra features that a dedicated Bitcoin wallet like Electrum has. As you may already know, Trust Wallet, Atomic Wallet or any other multi-currency wallet does not offer RBF for bitcoin transactions. In OP's case, I can see that RBF is disabled for this transaction. That means he is not using the Electrum wallet, or even if he is using it, RBF was disabled. The only option he could do is CPFP with his change address if he imports his private keys into Electrum wallet.

I am not talking about those pegged coins that are not bitcoin and I am not talking about those chains that are not bitcoin blockchain. What I am talking about are wallets that support bitcoin and altcoins which are called multicoin wallets. Example of the wallets are Unstoppable and Mycelium wallet which are open source, or Trustwallet, Coinomi and Atomic wallet which are close source that should not be advised to be used. All these wallets that are not having RBF, unlike wallets that has support just for only bitcoin like Electrum, Samourai and Bluewallet that has RBF.

Next time you should use a wallet that allows you to increase your transactions fee, when the memopool is too congested and there is high fee hyke, so if you used a wallet like Trustwallet of others in it category you may have to wait for a long to to see the transactions confirmed. But another option for you is to try and accelerate the tradacition, if you lack the tecnical knowledge to do that you can as well seek for help in the service section and any one willing to help can help you to accelerate the transaction to it confirmation.
