What's your purpose of belonging here

A lot of people will tell you they joined here to gain knowledge and nothing more than that, but it's only a few people who are truly here for the knowledge part; a lot of us are here both for the knowledge and the earning.
 
If I am to be realistic enough, Me joining this forum from the beginning was for me to acquire so much knowledge about bitcoin and other crypto currencies, wallet security, and all of that, learn how to be useful in the community, and be contributing, but those things alone could not have made me as active as I am in the forum today.

But when I gain knowledge to some level where I notice I can also earn from the forum, why then do I have to be given attention to other places looking for green pasture when I can get it here? So going back to your question, I'm here to gain knowledge and experience and also make some cool earnings. It won't be complete if I don't add the earnings aspect, because that will be me lying to myself.

You are right, Everyone is correct in what they say, but no one has speak the truth. Many forum members are not there to learn more about cryptocurrency; rather, they are there to gain reputation and participate in worthwhile campaigns in order to make money. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as most of us who respond to this comment are forum members, and the majority of things that make some people money are campaigns. This is what I'm saying because no one has discussed the campaign in the forum, which is what attracts newcomers here in the first place.

As a newbie, you must understand about cryptocurrency so that you will have the confidence to write a good post that will help earn merits. I have seen numerous posts in the forum where a newbie complained about how to earn merit and that he had no idea about cryptocurrency. Earning money in forums by taking part in campaigns is not a bad idea, but many people don't understand the process of it.

Already before I joined the forum, I had little knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, and I'm a trader too, but sincerely speaking what triggered me the most was seeing my friend who was a dumb when it comes to things that is related to cryptocurrency has more information more than I do and even before I got to know it, and so I become much interested to join being a trader and a Bitcoin enthusiast, believing that from the way in which my friend suddenly got transformed and got loaded with info about Bitcoin, that I too will have same opportunity to gain more information, plus the fact he told me I will also have the opportunity to earn if I have positive contribution in the community.

And today I have seen a big difference compared to the knowledge I have today about Bitcoin than then.

In the beginning, before I tell you why I joined Bitcointalk, let me tell you how I came to know about it.
I had a friend who used to do bounties, so my purpose was to earn money by that. However, after I opened an account here, I saw that there are many more things to learn and gain skills apart from that sector. Then started the journey of exploring from one board to another board like this slowly coming till now. To say that in the beginning my aim was to earn, now the aim has become mainly to acquire knowledge, gain skills and earn some money along with it. And with the knowledge that I will get from here, I can easily make arrangements for earning for myself in any way now. However, for those who are new, I would say that instead of earning money, gain skills, gain more knowledge, then you will see money coming to you by running

I will never deny the fact that my first purpose to join the forum is to gain profits in the later part. However, as I go on exploring the forum and discover things about crypto most particularly with bitcoin, I realized that there’s more into bitcoin than its profits and financial security. That bitcoin is what we need more than fiat in order to gain freedom from those centralized financial institutions and to escape from the shadows of the government. And that bitcoin is the future that will definitely become a life changer, if not now, then most probably in the future.

Stating the reason why you’re here after so much time without being asked looks like merit fishing to me. Newbies have been reprimanded a lot for asking questions about how to earn and start bounties, so I think you saying you’re here to learn and acquire knowledge about bitcoin sounds like you’re only trying be politically correct and win favour from the community.

Bitcointalk has its advantages and there is no crypto forum or community that comes close to what’s being achieved here.

I slightly disagree with you two. I went through the history of the OP's posts, and there is nothing in them that could be called a passion for merit. We became very suspicious . If I answer for the OP, as I saw it, then he appeared here according to the stories of his friends, as they say: "Everyone went, and I went." He rarely appears on the forum, and most of the time he writes in his local thread. Compare those who come here with one goal: earning money, and how persistently they print empty posts in order to increase activity and merit. This is not the case.
As for me, I won’t lie, and I’ve said this a hundred times: I came here to participate in the bounty. But since my work was on the Internet, and I was regularly online, I stopped wasting time on bounty reports when I realized that almost all of them were scams and began actively reading and studying.
The forum magically attracted me, and to this day, mornings and nights end with reading this forum.

There's a lot of enjoyable discussion on everything you want to know about crypto so most for sure this is the main purpose of majority especially if they are active on crypto investments and other related with cryptocurrency. Some may find their purpose is to earn from signature campaign then I can say that this is just a chunk since there's a big fish out there if you are just eager to learn more about it then know more skill so that you have a lot to offer to your potential clients.

It feel good to belong to the community with the same interest.  This somehow meet the basic need of people which is the need to belong.  At first my purpose of joining the forum is to gain information about cryptocurrency since I got interested when I read about them on some of the article in the internet.  At first I was about to get some information and I did not know that this forum have lots of member that is very active in Bitcoin Discussion and many dedicated knowledgeable people that help both in technical and economic fundamental of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.  I was just reading post at first then later on I interact and reply in threads that I somehow have some glimpse of knowledge then the rest is history.

This forum has a significant number of members who are earning money by joining bounties or other promotional campaigns and there are some other important members in the forum who are earning money by doing signature campaign campaigns. Not only through bounty campaign or signature campaign people are making money but also through web designing or web developing, coding, investing and trading but people are making money from this forum. Apart from making money, all economic or daily issues are discussed in this forum due to which many important information is known from this forum. I was looking for a place where they talk about cryptocurrency without asking to invest in it through them. I knew about cryptocurrency, but I did not know enough about it. Before I became a regular member here, there were some other websites I came across but at the end their aim was to get you to invest in them. Since I have been in this forum, there has never been a place where forum members were asked to invest in bitcoins through the forum. You are advised to invest by other members but do it securely. For new members, my reason is enough reason to want to remain and belong to this forum.

Even though you are not here for the knowledgeable aspect of Bitcoin, this forum must bend you to study and gain more knowledge about the main purpose of Bitcoin and to be able to communicate it effectively here. I think people who participate here get good information and help from this platform. Most of us are among those people who have a lot of free time and we join this platform to make our free time valuable. We share our information and knowledge with others, and also get good information and experience from others.

I joined this platform on my friend's suggestion which proved to be very beneficial for me because often we also participate in bounty which is required by this platform where we expect good profit. It's a friendly environment where we often learn new things and learn about things we don't know. The truth is that I didn't know much about crypto currency but this platform has increased my knowledge a lot. However, I think you can get good experience and good profit from here.

Many people have different agendas while they are here and the purpose of A and B will not be same, some people are here to market their projects whereas some people is also here because of learning and understanding of cryptocurrency and it's subsections, the main objective of creating this forum is to share idea's of cryptocurrency together especially bitcoin, so many people who is in hero and legendary ranks today comprehend what's bitcoin through this forum, that is while I said different people have different agendas to be here and that is how our achievements in forum is differs according our objectives of been in the forum.

If you had made this query post within your first five posts in the forum i could have been convinced that this post was intentionally  created for the sole purpose of a newbie wanting to learning but am thinking the opposite,

We share a common purpose being a member of this forum, no matter the angle you may want to direct your purpose of being here to it still revolve around gaining knowledge or adding to your knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency and how to perfect it that it can be of profitable value to you.  So either way I state my purpose or not, you  now know that the purpose is mutual.

I am not going to tell something new here like others; it is absolutely true that initially, every member keeps coming here on this forum to gain some knowledge, which they need, but at the end of the day, they do not have much interest in acquiring knowledge about Bitcoin, Blockchain, etc. Despite the main reason being money, this is a fact: most members focus on getting merits for participating in worthwhile campaigns in order to collect more payments. There is no hesitation in this, as human nature demands that every servant wants to earn money, and the human physical constitution dictates that he does not do anything in vain unless there is some benefit in it. I mean that here in this thread, it is also the same as my perspective that at first guys came here to get some knowledge, but at last, they changed their minds and took an interest in money and didn't emphasize getting more knowledge about the crypto space.

There's need to first identify the reason why this forum was created before we can now jump to why we are also here, well there's no doubt some were referred here by a friend, some through a search about bitcoin while some coincidentally join here, another thing is that some after joining they leave immediately they feels their reason for joining is meant, while some stay and remain because they think it's a community they can find pleasure in staying with, from there they begin to learn about the forum first then before they proceed to learning about bitcoin at large.

You answered what is on the mind of most of us. They are here in this forum in order to learn and share ideas and thoughts. What I like best is that everyone here is interested in the same field that I am passionate about and involved in, which is the field of cryptocurrencies. There are many valuable discussions and topics here about Bitcoin, altcoins, trading, and discussions in languages other than English, the latest events & news, and projects in the market. Various services can be purchased or offered. You can participate in many bounty campaigns and contests. And much more.  This forum is an excellent gathering for education, gaining experience, and learning a lot about Bitcoin and crypto in general and as a source of income for your contribution to it and knowledge of scam projects and renewable scammers' methods, and this is one of the reasons for my belonging and presence in it.

As basic as your question is, I can say there are simply just two reasons people troop to this forum – learning and earning. I don't know which supercedes the other for you (or anyone else). To state it clearly, a great number of people come here to earn but won't admit it publicly. Those who stumbled on this forum by chance (like I did) became glued to it because of the perks it offers. I've yet to see a forum that allows you learn and earn. Again, I must confess, there's so much one can learn here for free. Those two points will keep attracting more people here and the influx gets even higher during the noise of bull rally.

The forum magically attracted me, and to this day, mornings and nights end with reading this forum.

We all have different reasons why we join the forum or why we are here. Some are here to learn more about bitcoin and cryptocurrency related information while others are here to join bounty campaign and I guess someone are just here to help those who are having a hard time understanding something they are learning and maybe there's also someone who wants to join the discussions here in the forum to be updated.
