Everyone has their favorite person they love as a fan either through music, football, actor and actress, Mr. and Mrs., and content creators and because of the power they possess, they get endorsement deals, and partnerships to influence products to the people to make outreach to the consumers and potential customers they can influence to buy the products because of that love and likeness they have for them.

The past years, crypto isn't different from this as well. We have seen many of influencers with zero knowledge of crypto but because of the money attached and the greed to influence their fans to get money and because they have this power to make people rush anything they say, they influence people to buy or use them. Meanwhile, they have no clue about what they are influencing to the public and they don't care what happens after as long as their money is completely paid.

I want to share to you some of the things you need to know about brand influencing and why you should avoid them.

Most deeply don't understand what they are influencing: Many musicians and entertainers receive endorsement deals to make awareness about a project to their fans through social media and other quick places they can reach but if you interview them, many of them wouldn't be able to differentiate between ERC20 and BSC20, they don't do a background checks about the project they advertise or post on their page. Once their check has been paid, they do what they know best to post without doing a personal review if it's worth making a public announcement or not for the public, be careful about the crypto posts they display on their pages and timelines.

They don't use what they advertise: A good leader must show a good example, that is what leadership entails, you lead then others follow but influencers don't buy crypto or coins they advertise on their page, the only thing they want is their money. You will be shocked that they received the influencing fees in BTC and USDT instead of the crypto they advertised, they know very well that the coin they are trying to advertise is fake and not worth it but they will sell it out to the public by the way, just to do their bad job for fans to buy what they don't use.

They don't have accountability: In every 10 of projects that are out there, there is a high chance of 9 that will fail but influencers will advertise any deal that comes their way but when these projects fail, they don't care about the outcome, they will remain quiet or even mute mode of response like disabling their comment sections and inbox, they don't care unless there is legal challenge against them. There was some time back when Mayweather, DJ Khalid and Kim Kardashian advertised one altcoin last year but eventually turned out scam, fans lost money and were mad about it and they were later sued for promoting a scam project, this is how influencers can put you into bad situation if you are not careful.

They don't care about the response of the public: If you buy any crypto that is advertised by influencers, two things is involved, either you buy and make some profit when they list it, which with this, you are safe but if it turn bad, you can't help it but accept the reality of the loss. It's better you do your own research and have a judgment and live by it instead of believing another person to buy.

Avoid being influenced to buy a coin or any project, learn to do your own research, do some background check about the project, check the aims and objective of the project, the scope of the project and what they want to do, and not some unrealistic magic just to eat investors money.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

You won't ultimately blame these influencers and celebrities, they may not know if it's a scam project they are advertising or not, with the way it would be designed and presented to them that even with research done you still might not find a fault at that moment cause these scamming project are also good as fvck in covering their track. If the government are not declaring or raise an alarm that these projects as scam projects how will it be that the influencer who's just called to do an ambassadorial advert will know.

We have had had some managers in the forum manage scam projects like casinos, exchanges which at the beginning they never showed any signs of scam. And these managers I supposed must have done their own background study before accepting to manage those kind of projects only for it to turn out to be a scam project running away with users money and even leaving the repute of such Manager at risk.

What makes one a crypto influencer these days? They don’t need to have in-depth knowledge of crypto or blockchain, they can simply read an article online and rephrase it to make it look like theirs. Most crypto influencers don’t know what they are saying half of the time, they are like actors reading a well written script. Influencers are in it for the money, they are not interested in making a difference, they just want to make money from their followers. That’s why we see many influencers promote projects without doing their due diligence whether the project is genuine or not.

Admittedly, a whole lot of these influencers have little knowledge of what they’re trying to pitch to their followers. A lot only do so only cause of what they stand to gain without giving much thought on the sincerity of the project itself nor to their audience they’re trying to sell the project to.

Some influencers do care about their reputation and influence they’ve got on their platform and wouldn’t be willing to propagate just any product but can as well be fooled into accepting a scammy project that was beautifully designed to look legit.

In essence, we should not take the word of anyone(especially influencers)as truth without first, doing a bit of research about it. Opinions of influencers shouldn’t necessarily be adopted as ours.

This is the reason why I'm not watching any influencer anymore that's crypto related, or if I'm watching any of them, I'm making it sure that the video isn't a promotion to a new project whatsoever. I still think that there are still crypto influencers out there who are sharing some information to their followers. The problem though is that most of them are just making a video to promote a new project.

I can still remember the notorious with this one is the Youtube Channel "Bitboy Crypto" where all or most of his videos at that time are just either a promotion to a new project, or just a shilling video towards any top coins out there. He will make a simple analysis on a particular coin, then he will say in the end that he will buy. TBH, I watched some of his videos, and some of his promotion videos in the past, but I didn't buy any of them. After all, he is getting money promoting a project, and he isn't liable if things go south because of the phrase "Not a financial advice blah blah blah".

Re: The power of influencials and brand ambassadors,  don't fall for it.
Thanks for the reminder OP, but I've been done this already for a very long time. In my 5 years that I've been involved into cryptocurrency, I didn't invest into a new project just because somebody shilled it on Youtube. Maybe the fact that I'm always low on budget also helped me not to invest into these new projects as well. Overall, I just hope that investors out there will make their own research, and don't just watch a video on Youtube regarding a particular project, and when they got attracted, they will invest immediately without any hesitation whatsoever.

Influencers don't care about their followers. What they only care is themselves. Be careful to those newbies out there because influencers are kind of scamming you in a different way.

Most deeply don't understand what they are influencing:
They can either understand deeply about it or don't understand about it but their decisions are collaborating with those projects to advertise them to their followers and their communities. It is important that what you decide to do at the end, not what are in middle before you make your decisions to do or not to do.

Quote
They don't use what they advertise:
Again, it depends. They can use it or not use it. But I am sure if they use it, it mostly comes from free products from those projects and they only experience with free products and receive sponsored money to review those products. Therefore their opinion, reviews can not be trusted.

Quote
They don't have accountability:
But you are responsible for your capital and don't blame your irresponsibility on influencers.

Quote
They don't care about the response of the public:
Even if they care about their mistakes, at the end when you already lost your capital, any excuse does not make sense. Influencers will not be able to compensate your loss.

What the OP said is very true. Because what are called influencers or advertisers in the cryptocurrency sector, they only encourage the interest of fans or everyone to be able to enter and buy into the crypto projects they advertise.

So for that reason, we as investors or cryptocurrency users, have to be smarter in filtering out things that smell like advertising from these influencers. Such as carrying out independent analysis first before trusting or buying crypto advertised by influencers. Because it seems like people who experience losses due to the cryptocurrencies advertised by these influencers, it's because they didn't do an analysis of the crypto first. In essence, they only believe in one thing, namely that even a big star (influencer) bought the cryptocurrency. That's why people like that become victims. Because they only look at popularity and don't do independent analysis.

But even so, not all influencers have bad results regarding the crypto assets they advertise to many people. Because when I saw an argument on a site, it was written there that many influencers actually invest in cryptocurrencies.

Quote
In fact, data shows that 64% of influencers currently own cryptocurrency, and 49% prefer Bitcoin as a means of payment.
Source: https://www.ajmarketing.io/post/17-best-crypto-influencers-to-follow

I don't know whether this data is true or false, but it seems to me. Ordinary people like us are also interested in the potential of cryptocurrencies. So an influencer won't be much different. Moreover, influencers have a lot of money that can be used as capital. So most likely, influencers also don't want to miss out on wasting the potential of cryptocurrency.

And my conclusion, in order to avoid cryptocurrency scams that might be spread by influencers. Fill our minds with adequate knowledge about crypto. Because if that's the case, we can differentiate and most likely know whether the cryptocurrency advertised by the influencer has potential or not.

That's only partly true. Unexpected rugpulls/bankruptcies(e.g. BlockFi) aren't the problem — it's mostly the fact that most influencers hop from shilling one project to another in short timespans just to make money off token pump and dumps. It's just them squeezing as much money as they can from their audiences; literally the shittiest way of making money as an influencer.

Influencers are mostly just people who are running after money with no understanding of what the hell it is they are supposed to influence you to get.

That's what it all boils down to. Whether it comes from legit sources or from scammers, most of them don't care.

Some influencers do care about their reputation and influence they’ve got on their platform and wouldn’t be willing to propagate just any product but can as well be fooled into accepting a scammy project that was beautifully designed to look legit.

I like to imagine that most people have a moral compass and will turn down something unethical, which is mostly true. FTX had me asking some serious questions of our gullibility, though.

Avoid being influenced to buy a coin or any project, learn to do your own research, do some background check about the project, check the aims and objective of the project, the scope of the project and what they want to do, and not some unrealistic magic just to eat investors money.

The only influencer I have is Satoshi Nakamoto, all the others who called themselves authority are just whales who just want to make a profit from dumping their bags on you, It is okay to look up to them but when it comes to deciding what is best to your portfolio it should be your own decision.

One of the things you should learn is how to look and what to look at on a project, Whales are manipulators they use shill marketing to promote the coins they are managing and holding, so better learn a lot when you want to have a good portfolio.

If they post reviews of a certain coin that has no part or meaning and have no use stay away, because at the end of their videos they will post referral's, their only purpose is to have more followers for their personal gain, and have reward on the projects other than that they don't care, follow those who have post early about bitcoin and give suggestions, this people don't care if you follow them, or only few views they just love sharing information's, not those fake influencer's .

Influencers are mostly just people who are running after money with no understanding of what the hell it is they are supposed to influence you to get.
Well thats the definition of influencers anyway except that it has increase with additional description"to influence with degree of compensation accordingly" yes thats how influencers work, but I can still see some who picked moral than to earn or accept few dozen worth tokens for their reputations.

Most academic influencers specialize in a specific field, and therefore it is easy to find someone with superficial knowledge in this field. Here we are talking about a professor or a person with good scientific knowledge, let alone an influencer because he is rich, or a brilliant dancer, or makes funny videos, or cooks. The way we deal with celebrities. Although they know a lot that is wrong, they are human and it is rare for humans to have detailed knowledge in many areas. The first step is to choose well who to take advice from, do in-depth research, and then decide what your decision will be, whether this decision is to buy, sell, invest, or even waste your own time.

The only influencer I have is Satoshi Nakamoto,
Satoshi Nakamoto is/was not an influencer, Satoshi created Bitcoin but never advertised or promoted it the way influencers do for shitcoins. Satoshi even went ahead to say:
Quote
If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Influencers basically want to make money, and they'll do that even if it means promoting projects that are either a scam or one they don't have adequate knowledge about. Influencers should also do their own research about a project before promoting it, they owe that to their followers/fans, jumping on any project without doing any due diligence and only because of money is a bad thing to do.

Have you ever thought that most influencers are scammers? I have long studied their work and the methods they use to influence their fans. They never deepen their knowledge of something that has been conveyed to the public, every information they disseminate to the public is based on a script they wrote from a Google search.
Influencers only think about personal gain without caring about the fate of their fans. Strangely, there are still people who believe what influencers say. Influencers are like ferrets in sheep's clothing, they will do anything to gain personal gain.

Influencers are risking their reputation if they promote a high risk project, there was been a case an influencer promoting a ponzi scheme project and then he going to jail. But if they were promote a project that looks legit, even though the project will bankrupt or scam in the end, they're free because they have no intention to promote a scam project. Pretty much like few projects in this forum.

I often see this on YouTube but I'm not interested and will just press the next video button. They can use many ways to attract more people to join them. We have to be careful and do research is the best way to avoid being scammed.

Usually, they get paid for certain projects to help spread information about the project. They have nothing to do with the new project and just accept the job offer and get paid. And we can't blame what they give their followers, especially money.

But of the many influencers, some influencers are truly honest in sharing information with their followers. Usually, such influencers have very large and loyal followers.

~snip~
Avoid being influenced to buy a coin or any project, learn to do your own research, do some background check about the project, check the aims and objective of the project, the scope of the project and what they want to do, and not some unrealistic magic just to eat investors money.

If you are referring to altcoins (and I assume that this is the case), is there any project that makes sense and that in some way brings some positive change? All I see are false promises, with the difference that they try again and again to pack it in the most luxurious and shiny packaging in order to sell their project as well as possible.

What I want to say is that the people you are talking about have their price and will promote anything if they are paid well, but that speaks volumes about them and how much they care about all those who will lose their money because of them.

Be smart, buy what they don't advertise, and we all know what that is, right? Wink

To be honest I trust none but myself. There are many who would promise offer a lot. They will do that they will do those. But I am someone who believes in action not words. They may be powerful, they may be brand ambassadors but that doesn't make them all trusty.

Let me give you an example. There was this new company and this famous cricketer from my country (I won't go to specific). He was paid to be an ambassador. To promote, to advertise for the new company.  Later they scammed the people and the people blamed the influencer/ambassador. Of course you wouldn't know, it was all fake before they actually scam you. So he had nothing to do to it.

So before I go into something. I always do my own research. Of course I listen what they say what they offer what they promise. But until I am sure confident enough I don't make any move.

That's true, most of the influencers only look at the amount of money they are being paid and never go out and search for what the product actually is and how it's going to help their followers who follow them for some reliable information, if we are actually talking about Crypto in this topic. Most of the influencers still shill one project and get paid $30-$50k per tweet and then they never look back into that project ever. That's the life of every single influencer in this community.

Most celebrities don't even know what they are influencing, they hardly have any relationship with crypto to begin with, that's why it's wrong to just accept the calls from companies to come and do the influencer things for them.

To me, celebrities are just tools, they don't know what's going on in the back, so do not blame them, but there are some influencers that I don't like, those are the crypto influencers on YouTube, all they do or all they are doing is because of money.

They tell their viewers to buy a coin or token, indirectly, to avoid getting arrested as investment advisor, they will say it's what they are buying but its not a financial advice, it's all a trick, and after that the coin or token will start pumping, because many people are buying, then they will take profit without them knowing, the coin or token don't need to dump instantly that day, they will take the profits slowly.

Out of 100s of crypto influencers on Youtube, only 9 of them are saying the truth, and they always have less followers than many others who have thousands like Crypto Banter.

I will disagree with you on that. I've seen it happen multiple times ~ A situation where influencers are sued to court for that promotions of projects that turned out to be scams. As much we'd try to blur the picture, influencers have a responsibility to their community to  introduce them to legitimate projects. Anything other than that is an outright abuse of the power and influence given to them by their community.

If more influencers starts getting sued by their community, that nonsense will come to an end.

Influencers are not the bad actors, they are not the owner of what tyey are advertising just as me and you are promoting for an organization in a signature campaign which we don't know their owners in person, but because we trust them, we work for them and they pay us, same are these influencers, there's is not about verifying the nature of what they were being offered to promote, they accept any offer in other for them to earn money from it, but now to our own side, we are the ones involved in making this transactions using our money, we have to research, avoid risk and know what we are going for not to be scam irrespective of those influencing it.

Avoid being influenced to buy a coin or any project, learn to do your own research, do some background check about the project, check the aims and objective of the project, the scope of the project and what they want to do, and not some unrealistic magic just to eat investors money.

We wouldn't love to loose our money so we have to make a thorough research on anything we are investing on, in cryptocurrency, if we think we don't have to go that much in taking risk, then it's better we maintain bitcoin investment to avoid having encounter with projects that won't last.

Brand ambassadors do not really need to know everything about what they advertise or use same. Companies and businesses pay them because of their audience... people that will know about the business or product through their platform.

Lionel Messi advertising a particular drink does not mean he must be a consumer of the drink... he is just paid to tell you that such drink exists and how fine the drink is. You  are only required to check if you like and need what they advertised or not. No one will force you to buy what you don't have need of.

I think brand ambassadors should have a great deal of knowledge and understanding of what they’re trying to sell to their audience. It’s only fair that they do.
But a lot don’t seem to care about what they’re advertising as long as they’re getting paid without receiving any public backlash. As ambassadors of a brand, you should have an above average understanding of whatever product or services you’re representing.

You won't ultimately blame these influencers and celebrities, they may not know if it's a scam project they are advertising or not, with the way it would be designed and presented to them that even with research done you still might not find a fault at that moment cause these scamming project are also good as fvck in covering their track.
Don't be quick to let them off the hook, they are supposed to do due diligence. Some of them are just greedy and they forget that they also have a reputation to protect. Celebrities and influencers command a lot of followership and they have many persons looking up to them. Most crypto owners know this that's why they pay them to advertise their projects and whatever product they endorse or promote, some gullible people will follow them blindly. There are projects promoted by celebrities that turned out to be scams but the recent one is that of Ronaldinho, he's been accused of running a scam crypto project but he claims he was only a brand ambassador. Imagine the damage this could do to his reputation if he goes to jail.

It's funny that some people underestimate the power of advertising.
I'm not an expert on how the mind or brain works but I know that if you walk into a mall to buy a product you're not very familiar with and you see different brands of those products, some of the things that will help you make a choice are
1. The products you see often: You'll most likely go for a product you've always seen being advertised on TV, billboards, or social media and the internet. You'll hardly go for a brand you've never seen before.

2. You'll go for a brand with beautiful packaging. We may not know it but we're influenced by the packaging of a product. We will most likely pick the one with more beautiful packaging.

3. You might just go ahead and pick the product you've seen your favorite celebrity using or talking about.

We will make these choices and feel we made the decision ourselves but Nah, we were influenced by something or someone.
It's the same thing with the crypto community. We'll see influencers on YouTube talking about a particular project. Saying all these good things about the project people fall for it without really knowing what the project is.

Sometimes on my Twitter timeline, I see people talking about a particular project even with a hashtag (#). I just know that the project is running a serious marketing campaign and if I'm not convinced I just ignore it.

Good influencers these days are actually rare to find as most of them are just doing it to satisfy theirselves financially. However, there are still few who can be well trusted when it comes to the projects they will promote, but still if you jump to investing without doing your own diligence to research, then you won’t still be successful in the end. Crypto influencers are only there to do their job and even promote projects they aren’t even sure if they will be successful in the future, so investors should also do their part through researching and studying the projects before they decide to invest.

The only thing worth promoting or trying to influence people to accept is Bitcoin. If someone is influencing people to buy or accept bitcoin, that is something I can get behind but if they are promoting a Bitcoin scam like BlockFi, FTX, Celsius, etc. we need to call them out as scams and be ready to direct people to the tools/services that aren't scams.

I like to keep things nice and simple.

Buy bitcoin
Self custody
Secure your seed phrase
Run your own node

If everybody does these 4 things, then it is only a matter of time before we unequivocally win and bitcoin dominates the entire world.

Well, you have spoken the truth about majority of these influencers and ambassadors. They know the name of the brand where they've made a deal but they don't know wholly what they are.

The problem on these influencers is they don't really do research before accepting a deal whether it is an x deal or a brand deal with a contract. I've seen a bunch of them that never talked any sense of what they have promoted.

What matters to them is that they've been paid and that's all enough for them.

Sarcastically a crypto influencer is any one on the internet with more than 1k followers who talk about crypto. They just copy what is trending, put it in their own words and spur it out without doing their own research or having a solid personal opinion backed up with facts. These people are worst than those antibitcoin campaigners at least these guys are doing it for something other than money. The crypto influencers and ambassadors are doing it for the money - they promote scam projects and we know those who promoted FTX. Personally, I feel that when a promote fails and the clients are scammed, these crypto influencers and ambassadors should be arrested too because many of their followers blindly follow them.

A good actor and one who knows how to lead is followed by everyone, and if that person advertises something, his fans are eager to use it. We know there are many influential people who use the good stuff and advertise the bad stuff, so they get huge sums of money from it.  We notice in various social media when an actor or a big influencer advertises something they never use but promote it for their fans to use. There are many actors who advertise crypto to individuals, accepting fees in Bitcoin and USDT. There are many such actors and influencers who share fake ads and sell them in the market to advertise them. And the people who see those ads buy them, and those things are always bad, never the good things they sell. And people see those ads and buy those products and get fooled, that's basically how many people advertise and sell fake stuff.

No I disagree with you, I think any one who's been contacted to promote a particular product or become an ambassador to any brand ought to make out time to know the product he or she is trying to use his or her influence to promote before signing the deal with the company l, you don't go about running an advertisement for a brand you have not tried simply because you are a celebrity knowing that a lot of your fans may be scammed their bodies destroyed because they thought being a super star running the ad for the company you are also making use of the product or brand as the case may be. I think it is necessary for all the stars, celebrities to do a review of the products they tend to advertise before doing so.

Recently in my country Nigeria a man made a review of a particular skin care products which has been destroying so many peoples body according to him but the CEO of the company denied and even threaten to sue him to court but funny enough when the guy shared the video of some of her product it was discovered that the  product that some brand influencers has been promoting has no (NAFDAC) National Agency for Food & Drug Administration & Control registration.

What many influencers care about is to make endorsement deals and make money for themselves. Some do not care about the reputation of the product they are influencing and they keep making people to buy the product even when other make continuous complain about it. Whether a music artiste or any kind of influencers, these people are only after what they will again especially for the crypto influencers that keep making innocent investors to invest in bad or scam projects because they are been offered huge amount of money for promotion.

The influencers you hear of, people are into it because of the monetary aspect of it. If the monetary aspect of being an influencer is removed today, you will discover that there won't be anyone calling themselves or doing the work of an influencer again. The work of being an influencer will exist no more in people's minds.

What I am trying to say is that influencers are only after the money, they don't care about what will be of what they are promoting to their subscribers or followers. Once the offer of the product or project is enticing to them, you see them sugarcoating the project the next day.

In the next week or months, you will find them promoting the same product but a different brand, forgetting the ones they talked about before. If anything like a scam comes out of it, you get them denying their involvement in it in the first place

This is why I don't go by what influencers talk about since they only care about the money given to them and not your safety or notices of the dangers ahead to avoid

Fans really like their favorite celebrities because of the characters they pretend to be in movies. when these celebrities tell people to use a product, their devoted fans often give it a try and develop trust for that brand.

We can't really know what someone is like because we don't know them personally. I don't trust celebrities who advertise things because I know they are paid to do it. Instead, I rely on my own research.

Some celebrities promote gambling websites because they make a lot of money from it. But it's important to know that once someone starts gambling, it can be really tough to stop. People can lose all their savings, have problems with their family, and even become very sad, stressed, depressed.

Why you still intend to fall and believe these crypto influencers and brand ambassadors when you can actually influence yourself through consistent research and studies in the crypto forum and market. That way, at least you know that you are gaining legit and reliable information out from your own diligence to learn ultimately. Believing on them instantly is never a smart choice without doing your own part through research and through your own experience in the market.

It's only a fool that thinks brand ambassadors aren't paid specially to run 'em ads - given that whatever they're advertising would be made to to its fullest for the ads to motivate the audience... E.g, I've been seeing multiple ads on the gram about some local/exotic games like ; ayo, poker, crash ect... These celebrities would be playing with specialized app on their screens - now that creates a false impression in the minds of the audience. Sometimes, I go as far as checking out Thier reviews and, the outcome is usually terrible... Don't try this shit!

When it comes to making financial investments with your own money, believing or following the advice or instructions of an influencer should be the worst thing or mistake you can make. Many people have perished as a result of mindlessly following the counsel of internet elites. We all know they've been paid for it; who doesn't do or say what they're instructed when they've already been paid? None, I believe.

I don't always blame them for doing so, but if we were in their shoes, we might have done the same. Money's power is uncontrollable these days, as the world evolves. When something appears to be a fraud or is already displaying red flags, I believe it is their responsibility not to promote such a project. Because they risk losing their devoted supporters and having a bad name attached to their names, damaging their reputations for a shitload of money.

I doubt that people who are already interested in crypto can be influenced by celebrities, it only works on people who don't have any crypto and know nothing about it. However, crypto enthusiasts can be influenced by so called crypto experts - those who have made their name in crypto by starting a company, launching a project or even just talking about crypto a lot. This is as dangerous as getting influenced by a clueless celeb, because the experts can too promote a scam if they are paid well enough. Or they can promote a shitcoin that will collapse because its a shitcoin.

I was a victim of this. There was a coin I bought and didn't sell the coin when I saw a good profit from it because the project team said they had made a provision for Caesar calls, and the price would increase if they achieved the Caesar calls. After the Caesar calls were achieved the price of the token didn't grow above the existing price before the Caesar calls were made, and with anger and regret, I ended up selling the token at a low price.
Never allow yourself to buy a token after an influencer on social media posts about the token on his timeline. All the crypto influencers are in for their paycheck and they will make you hold a token even though you see an opportunity to make a profit with their common statement "I'm bullish on this or that".

Brand ambassadors do not really need to know everything about what they advertise or use same. Companies and businesses pay them because of their audience... people that will know about the business or product through their platform.
I disagree with this.
If you're a brand ambassador you should know what you're being an ambassador of. You are an ambassador of that brand. You know what an ambassador is right?
You're a corporate representative. You're like the public face of the company or brand so it will be very foolish not to know what it is you're a fact of.
It might be possible that you don't know the nitty-gritty of the whole thing, but you should know enough to know if it's a good brand/company or not.

Lionel Messi advertising a particular drink does not mean he must be a consumer of the drink... he is just paid to tell you that such drink exists and how fine the drink is. You  are only required to check if you like and need what they advertised or not. No one will force you to buy what you don't have need of.

He doesn't have to be a consumer but he should be able to know that the drink is what they say it is.
Imagine being the face of an energy drink when in fact the drink isn't an energy drink. They just use your face for marketing strategy.
People like Messi should have their team check out those brands or companies before accepting deals from them.

Big celebrities shouldn't even be promoting what they have no idea about. Aside from the fact that they could be complicit in deceiving people knowingly or unknowingly, it's bad for their image.
Secondly, they can never lack deals, so why rush to take every available deal as far as the cheque is big?
I can excuse small and upcoming celebrities and influencers because they're just trying to get money but the already-made celebrities have no excuse.

Avoid being influenced to buy a coin or any project, learn to do your own research, do some background check about the project, check the aims and objective of the project, the scope of the project and what they want to do, and not some unrealistic magic just to eat investors money.
Unfortunately, in reality many people are very easily deceived by the influencers or celebrities of their idols. So they immediately easily follow whatever their idols do and promote, unfortunately, even without them having any prior understanding of what it is. This incident often happens, even in my country, there are Several artists create crypto projects and influence their followers to invest in the projects they design, then give various promises as if they can get very abundant results. They are also humans, when faced with their idols who also promise huge profits, they will definitely be very easily tempted. Unfortunately they don't understand what they are investing in. And after that, their money was gone.

This is the difference between someone who only follows the trends of their idols and someone who always prepares themselves with various insights and knowledge before doing something. Moreover, investing in fields that are new to them. They will wisely and intelligently research first and really study what it is, without looking at who they influence.

Imagine being the face of an energy drink when in fact the drink isn't an energy drink. They just use your face for marketing strategy.
People like Messi should have their team check out those brands or companies before accepting deals from them.
Are you suggesting that in such a case, the team will take such drink to the laboratory to test if the drink is actually an energy drink? Next Messi advertises a footwear,  the team will have to test the quality of the leather if it conforms with what the manufacturer said it to be?

Well, if you must know, for every country, there are agencies responsible for checking quality and conformity base on their standards.  They issue approvals before goods and services are released to their public consumers.

Big celebrities shouldn't even be promoting what they have no idea about. Aside from the fact that they could be complicit in deceiving people knowingly or unknowingly, it's bad for their image.
That means you are suggesting celebrities should not advertise cars, aeroplane,  alcoholic drinks and indeed anything that poses danger to the users? Like I said before, it is not their duty to check the quality and safety of the things they advertise but that of the government of the country.... there are numerous agencies that check standard and conformity and certify items and services safe for their citizen. The covid19 vaccine was a good example of celebrities advertising something but it is the government that have the power to decide if it is safe for their citizens or not. We don't have to be emotional about these things.
