I can't even begin to imagine how many chances people who rush out to get the newest iPhone every time it comes out have lost.
How I wish iPhone users would one day understand the chances they have lost for so long. Instead of purchasing a flashy iPhone that wouldn't increase their fortune, they should have thought about investing in bitcoin.
What I've seen shows that a product can fade away or lose value over time, but an asset like bitcoin will continue to increase in value even after the expensive product has disappeared.

This is really catchy I must say, having something like 0.031btc and you say I should use it to get an iphone 15? Like why the hell am I going to use such huge amount (I know to some it ain't that huge) to get a device?
Well I think is for those who have enough to spare because I don't think someone who's struggling would think of getting an Iphone 15 for 0.031.
I can only think of that if the iphone can get my BTC wallet to at least 2BTC, that alone would but a smile on my face.
With the market not in the favor or any investors I don't think anyone would consider getting such a device with that amount.

I don't think they have botched their plan, it's just that they are finding a way to attract users' blood in a perfect way. Even if the iPhone doesn't have significant improvements, users are still willing to spend thousands of dollars to upgrade to the latest model, so they don't need to rush to cram in hundreds of new technologies like Android devices are doing. Nearly all iPhone generations do not have too many significant upgrades, instead they upgrade little by little to create differences between generations. Apple has been really successful in their business strategy, they have convinced users to upgrade even when there are no major upgrades.

Most of our technology products or consumer goods will lose value over time, not just the iPhone.  and the purpose of buying it is to serve life needs, while bitcoin is an investment.  I find it quite lame to compare these two.

If someone has a low income and a difficult life, but often buys expensive things and does not focus on improving their life, then that person is really a fool to pursue expensive products like the iPhone.  but if a person has a high income and buying a new iPhone is simple for him, why doesn't he have the right to do it?  Because we try to invest and work, isn't it to have a better life?  an iPhone or a car is just one of many other things we strive for as we improve our lives.

I even doubt everyone, including me, what is the certainty that we would have bought bitcoin instead of an iPhone at that time if we did not know its value in the future? That's why many people didn't invest in bitcoin back then, at that time bitcoin was too risky to trust. We only regret when looking back at the past but never had the courage to become a pioneer and take risks. And if we talk about opportunities in life, we have even given up a lot of things, not just bitcoin.

That has nothing to do with buying the newest iPhone, it's about mentality: those people may not buy the last iPhone but probably will spend the same amount of money for a bag or sunglasses or a fancy dinner. If you are used to invest (not necessarily in bitcoin/crypto, even stock market or real estate) you won't spend that money because you know that it's way better to save it and invest it.

At the same time if you buy an iPhone (or other Apple products) from time to time, that could be seen as a great "investment" because they last for a very long time. Right now I'm writing from a 2014 MacBook Pro that I bought used back in 2016 and it still works great, before switching to Apple I was lucky if my laptop would last 3 years...

Its not really that bad to have the same views or perspective when it comes to this
but of course the accumulation would really be entirely be depending on how much you could really be able to invest on since not all does have the money on doing so.

Today, we cannot buy many Bitcoins even if we know that in the future Bitcoin will rise as much as it did in the past. Those who know and invest in Bitcoin beforehand are truly lucky people. Because it is not possible to buy that number of Bitcoins today, even though we know that the price will increase. Because now the Bitcoin price has exceeded a certain level.

The price of Bitcoin at the time of the iPhone 4s is the same as the price of another coin today, but the coin at the same price is potentially not similar to Bitcoin. I mean this. Some chances come once.

It's always the same old story: many rich don't care about showing their wealth, people with smaller income on the other hand spend a ridiculous amount of money to buy useless stuff to impress others. Yeah, I remember that when the iPhone 4s was first launched, the 64GB version of the phone was sold for $380+, and during that year and month that the phone was launched, Bitcoin price was still trading at around $3.27, and it will really require 121 Bitcoin to be able to purchase the 64GB version of the iPhone, but back then, people who bought the phone at that time did not look into the future to see what Bitcoin was to become today, and it would not have been possible to look into the future, and also, I assume that some people back then were very sceptical about Bitcoin and therefore did not invest in it, while some people too did not know about the technology back then. Fortunately today, the value of Bitcoin has greatly increased, and it would still be a waste of money to sell one's Bitcoin now or use the money you were supposed to invest in Bitcoin to buy the iPhone 15, because definitely in the next 12 years to come, there will be some of the latest iPhones of that time, and one would still use less Bitcoin to buy them by then compared to the fraction of Bitcoin that would be used now to purchase the last iPhone 15. Although you can buy the iPhone for personal reasons and self-satisfaction, personally, I don't even like iPhones; I prefer Android over it, and I can spend $1k to buy an Android phone as long as it can do things I expect it to do.

This example you set with iPhones could also be set with other phones and devices, in which the first product of those devices would have cost the buyer more Bitcoin compared to the latest versions of today and just the small fraction of Bitcoin that is needed to buy them.

People who are with good money never try to express their wealth to the outer world. Most of the time it is the middle class family that starves for a life style similar to the rich ones. This had made them go on things that are really not that needed, but to show them high to the outer world used to spend much on these devices.
