Op, if you had done your research well, you would have known by now, that there's a whole thread containing List of Bitcointalk.org Userscripts/ Add-ons / SMF patches
Not all members would love to use the dark theme here on Bitcoin talk. I myself prefer the light theme. If you so want to use it then you can try it out. Here's a link to the script Bitcointalk Dark Theme.
You can install it on a browsers that support  extensions. On Android you can try using wiki browser  or UC browser while on windows it's supported by chrome so you just have to download it

When webpage have dark/light mode - it is always better than any browser addon. You can not know, how addon will work with various webpage and threads colours. Webpage own dark/light mode - it's like webpage pro mode, not just simple amateur made webpage. Just check youtube dark mode.

Bitcointalk is not like other "popular" websites. Maybe it can't even be called popular, because ordinary users rarely come (or stay) here. Simply put, this forum is not as useful to everyone as YouTube or the like.
Before I came to Bitcointalk, I followed some very good forums that also worked on SMF, for me, this look is quite enough, and maybe it's just a matter of habit.

Are you looking for the forum to look like YouTube? Or you want dark mode because of the strains the current light mode causes to your eyes?

You have given multiple choices here on how you can use the forum on dark mode so I don’t see any reason why you’re still dragging YouTube into the discussion, if you so much like YouTube’s dark mode then you might as well just stay there. Currently there’s no inbuilt dark mode the only way you can use it is either you use a browser that has a dark mode feature or you install extensions or run the script in your tampermonkey.

Well, this isn't the trendy webpage mate and the only thing for you to experience this dark mode is by adding those extensions or wait until the owner made it available for us. Been here for years and I already tell myself that I'll be the one to get accustomed.

Just try https://www.youtube.com/ in light mode, then switch to dark mode. Hope you will understand. Browser addons do not work well for webpage dark mode - colours, etc.

Dark mode is pretty fuckuped if you are colorblind.

I happen to have color blindness and I hate dark mode. Smaller the screen the harder it is to read.

A lot of men have color blindness so if you go to forced dark mode which is easier than lite or dark mode you are screwing a lot of people.

I have zero issue if we go to two modes lite or dark as long as we keep the old school method of thread formating.

Bitcointalk is old - although improvements such as mode features are also expected, but you can expect them to be implemented in EpochTalk. There are many improvements that users expect from bitcointalk - but they realize that they cannot be realized easily. I cannot say I concur when you state the forum needs dark mode because I in my opinion your view is subjective. Nevertheless it would probably be considered as one of many feature requests and assessed by theymos. I doubt it will gain traction though but if you feel strongly about the issue you raise, you could consider adding a poll in order to see what the community thinks about it.

I am used to this forum format, but if I want to enjoy my dark mode, I do it with my browser. Some browsers have the capacity to switch modes, but browser dark mode on bitcointalk does not give good blend for the sight.

Been using the Darkreader add-on for a long time, and it's easily customizable to any shade of darkness you want. It has never failed me. It also supports Firefox for android and tor browser

You are going to need an add-on or extension. I use dark reader at the moment, and the good thing about it is you can adjust to any shade of darkness you want.

I use simpleminer for my 100 plus mining gpus.

I need to go to my 65 inch samsung tv to see it clearly.
