I think I always do this for most of the time but I know it's the amount I can afford to lose and it's not that huge of a bankroll tbh so I always go all-in. I often did this a few years ago (if I'm not mistaken about 2 years ago), when we do it, we feel we're looking for an extraordinary sensation, when in fact we're becoming problem gamblers here. I think everyone would have the same tendencies. As we become more desperate about our loss, we tend to be willing to take more risks and without our regular or any strategies. For example, going all in on any cards you held in poker. And we are so much desperate about getting everything back that we don't even stop when we get back 90% of our loss. His overall experience as said was about the thrills he felt with the last money. It would have been great if we win every time we go all in. He more likely didn't put all his hopes on his last bet but he felt intense and accepted fate whichever the result.

I'm guilty on this. But I'm not ashamed since I'm not regularly doing this. It's very rare for me to experience consecutive losses without a win that will deplete my bankroll to this level so I always cherish this opportunity to have this intense gambling experience. So do I, there is a feeling of anxiety when you are playing for hours and you still want to know if you are going to lose it all or if you have a chance to win, one of my biggest wins comes from this scenario, after playing for two hours I just want to know if I will lose everything or make a profit because I sometimes don't want to remain in my bankroll especially at the end of the weekend when I have work tomorrow.
