What you said is totally true. OP has a very negative perception about gambling due to his personal experience with his father who ruined the life of the family because his addiction. Gambling is not for everyone as it was never designed for all. If you must know, many things in life are gambling... going to the university is gambling because there is no guaranty that you will get a job and become rich after graduation. Buying stocks, cryptocurrency and even real estate all fall into gambling because there is no guaranty that you will make profits. So, I suggest you seek understanding of what gambling should be and should not be before drawing your conclusion.

While you feel gambling is not good, a lot of people are actually making a living off it. I have known a couple of successful gamblers. If you feel what we know here as gambling is not for you, then seek other ways of making money.
