If the OP said that gambling is bad and can tannish people image (those that are addicted to it) we might agree to it or we will agree to it but when the OP said gambler should stop gambling, that the real thing that will be hard to do.
Many people might have said when they gamble a little, they will stop but they just can because they have fine something that even I don't know about till now in gamble.
I am just saying that it can not be easy to stop gamble if we do not have discipline.

Well, everything is bad when treated in the wrong and I couldn't blame OP for saying that because it is probably he has a bad experience with gambling. But he should not say EVERYONE because not all are doing the same with him.

Anyway, we can't please people to see the benefits of gambling, many think it is bad and harmful to us (mentally and financially matter). Such an approach is indeed  more advisable, however we must still be able to adjuust for the sake of a balance, especially in terms of finance, try to spend only the amount that we can be responsible for and better far below the amount of income  we get from salary, or that means much smaller like for example 1% - 3% of the amount of income you get and do not let this activity even make us suffer a lot of problems.
