Eligibility criteria is not easy, not everyone and only pro users will be eligible for airdrop. And I have no illusions that this airdrop will somehow improve my financial situation, and it is unlikely that it will be more than $50. Apart from GitHub, the airdrop seems to favor whales who have staked large amounts of tokens and those with very high activity in their addresses across the 3 different chains.

The people who participated in the incentive nodes received generous reward from the developers. Due to my address only being considered among the top 10% activity scores, I am only eligible for 90.74 tia.

I don't put so much hope with this reward as im sure it will worth nothing for sure.

If you were developer and active in web3 projects, making commits and doing github things, only then you are eligible, it's not as simple to have account on GH.

I got Arb airdrop yet wasn't eligible for this one.

Not really whales, you only needed $75 worth tokens staked on Osmosis and Cosmos Hub, while for Ethereum it appears you needed $50 on your ethereum wallet otherwise no matter how much your activity was you were discarded. I don't think it's whale centric.

I checked all of the wallets I have created before the January 1 2023 snapshot in which they all have decent Ethereum transactions. But the bad news is that none of them are eligible, so I do not get anything here.

But on a positive note it’s one reason why we should keep doing retroactive drops as early adopters. This is where early adopters are rewarded with an unexpected airdrop announcement from Celestia.

Oh well, I guess we just have to wait for the next big unexpected one though. Congrats to those who are eligible.

I recieved airdrop from Arbitrum wallet but unfortunately not eligible gort this airdrop. This airdrop is mainly for Atom(cosmos) stakers and active Github users. Everyone who staked at least 70$ Atom tokens are eligible for airdrop. I have not staked any atom token and also my activity in Github is zero, this is the reason I am not eligible for this airdrop.

I will not blame you because your message show that you have never received any speculation airdrop. I will recommend to read some articles how much people got free airdrop just by the method you are making fun. I am able to see my eligibility for this drop with my ethereum roll up address. When I clicked claimed and connected my metamask, it prompt to create an address of celestia testnet, however upon clicking the terms and services, I click the generate address with the address display on the tab accidentally. So then I realized that I didnt create a celestia wallet, now given the process which I already submitted, is there a possible way to change it? Or did I just donate free airdrop tokens to a random address?

Also they are given airdrop to EVM wallet users. This is similar to the sei cross chain airdrop. But the main thing is most of validators not available for the testnet airdrop. May be they need to decentralize the celestia ecosystem by distributing the tokens big user base.

Yea, EVM is probably the right word than Ethereum. Anyway, SEI must have used stupid criteria to determine eligibility, cause here I get $TIA for osmosis staking, sei didn't, mind you I have been staking Osmo for more than a year. There were people on reddit who staked/LP'ed and validating the chain yet they didn't qualify. Lol.

Considering the 1B max supply I don't think it'll be worth much. $1 per $TIA at best, most likely below that.

So Im finding ways how to revert that or at least change it. There is no supported testnet of celestia on keplr maybe on leap wallet only. Appears everyone gets 50-100 TIA for each eligible chain (not sure about github one), but above it's mentioned validators were rewarded handsomely.

I also don't expect it to be worth much since it has huge supply but who knows? I had 30 or smth ethlend tokens back in the day, sold them for peanuts, then it got rebranded to aave and reached ~600 USD, that'd be 20k at ATH. That taught me to hold, if selling isn't worth it.

Honestly, this is also one of the projects that I hope they will do well when launched, actually I quite expect the airdrop will bring buzz to the project as well as profit opportunities for users. As far as I know, most of the leading CEXs have announced plans to list.

I've heard many good reviews about this project, I'm not sure if its just a hype or what but if you are eligible better to grab this opportunity now.
Most of the good project succeed because of having a good airdrop and a good community, if this project is good expect to have a bigger airdrop again.

Yea, token will be on Celestia mainnet. You will automatically find them in your mainnet wallet once it launches, testnet and mainnet address will be same, just in case you wonder cause they asked for testnet address in airdrop.

These players usually "dump" tokens on the market for profit (eventually ruining their value in the long run).

At least, airdrops are a great way to spread the word. If used correctly, they could help drive a cryptocurrency project all the way to success. Who knows how far will Celestia go? Just my thoughts

I don't know what happen with my self, when announcing have new airdrop specific have to claim to know eligibility or not always check with my wallet although I am not participating yet  . Its seems promising with Calestia airdrop because who are get eligibility will earn more profitable because saw personal and trusted buyer want to buy with this coins above around $0.7. Imo, it's mix of testnet and retro. Testnet because validators were rewarded, retro because other 3 eligible categories activity and it's snapshot were taken in past.

I got into TIA but only the bare minimum if all is said and done ~ 50 TIA. I think part of the reason I got on the lowest tier is because my address hasn't been active on Ethereum L1 Mainnet because of the obvious gas reasons. Anyway, I'm glad I got something, even if it's not on the high side. I know it would be a long time before the next project will chose to reward github contributors but if it happens in the future, I'll be there no matter what.

I plan to start contributing to a few open source projects not for airdrop anticipation but to grow my solidity / EVM skills amd knowledge. Of course getting rewarded for contributions is a win-win

I think most the users are not submitted the address yet. Also Ethereum whales are do not know they are eligible or not. Also the project team mentioned,  unclaimed tokens will be distributed with already claimed users. So your $TIA tokens will be double.

I think they got different rounds up to $2.4 there are $1 per token and earlier probably much cheaper but this ia good news considering the drop on users are minimum of 50 tokens if they got $2 price on listing then its a $100 free money. I heard about it and I missed it all also when UNI did their airdrop I wasn't qualify as well based on my fear to connect my wallet to transact on their DEX, you know one have to be careful otherwise could get compromised. Although no doubt that some airdrops are really profitable but the fear is what keeps scaring me away as I never want to experience such again, and as I can recall my friend did told me about his qualification to the uni airdrop and he gain about 400 units of uni token worth almost 700$ then.

I think you should try out future mainnet airdrops. If you are started this on 2020, you may have good profits.

Many other people have been eligible for this. But I was only eligible in Ethereum transactions, that's why I got little tokens as compared to my friends. Focusing on other airdrops too like zksync, layer zero. And mostly users are saying there will be also a round 2 of Arbitrum, although optimism has given it which has given users a lot of profit.
Arbitrum gave a huge profit to its users in its first round airdrop. Maybe this gave a huge airdrop in its 2nd round better than the first one, it also gave me $1000+ in the first round.

I have seen many coins that I recently joined their airdrops but that was all in vain because some of them didn't even list or some of them scammed and the project is dead. My airdrop planning completely makes me lazy as I have a problem when the market conditions are not good and I hear from someone that they got some amount of money from a specific Airdrop. Then suddenly I started doing airdrops, doing it till I started to invest in airdrops and it made me in loss then I stopped the airdrops and the market condition made better and all the airdrops project started to distribute then I was not in a single Airdrop.

This is my airdrop life which hurts me a lot even though I had participated in different Airdrops and I had invested a lot in these but sometimes it didn't give me a single penny. Although I'm happy that I qualified in the Celestia Airdrop, I hope it will go far better than our expectation, it will reach 3$ as per the token price according to most analysts.

I was able to register both my evm and my cosmos via keplr with the same address. Exchange listings will happen once celestia mainnet launches. Anyhow, one of above comments said, OKX has invested in celestia so we might see listing there. Even if they don't, we should be able to trade it on Osmosis as $TIA being an IBC coin.

Also Binance labs invested on Celestia. So there is a possibility of getting listing at Binance as well. Also I saw it in kucoin's pre market.  So that means $TIA will list on kucoin as well.  Celestia is a layer 1 project. So the token will list when the launch of the mainnet. But we don't know the exact date. But I think it will list between 1-2 weeks.

Thats really a bummer since weve should see the announcement on discord for this, but honestly they can use the Twitter to mention this detail as if they really said that before. Users arent lingering on discord for details. Official website should indicate that cause its a protocol cause announcement on discord might be a trick and we knew that some scam happened on discord for that. Anyway I will just accept it since nothing can do.

But that scenario isnt a wise decision for their airdrop recipients. Thats why not only me complained dozen of users.

I'm looking at the chart rn and the momentum is still going a lot stronger than expected...  I mean with TIA being an airdropped token and all.  We'd expect it would usually go flat and slightly trend down after a small run up just like what ARB did.

But what's going on with TIA could mean that Layer Zero should get their airdrop going too and asap before the whole market turns a bit bearish.    I think if Arbitrum did their airdrop around Jan or Feb this year, ARB would've ridden the wave.

^  It's all about the dev team's timing and their read on market sentiment.  TIA's team read the room well and prepared their airdrop so that they could do it as the market is rising.  ARB devs on the other hand prolly misread the market and also tried to time the top.  But really the market was starting to falter by the time they did their airdrop.  As I said, if they started airdropping around Jan or Feb then ARB prolly would've gone from 1 USD to 5 USD in a week or something.

That's untrue, about half million addresses were eligible, whoever didn't claim they redistributed back to who claimed, so all 60M still went to the community and circulating supply is only 146M, 60M out of 146M is huge, I'm sure most people sold it, still TIA is resisting the dump, it's been pumping since day one.

^  I think it's more like the people in crypto have gotten smarter and there are fewer decent projects to rotate in.  Couple that with most of the market making green weekly candles after green weekly candles...  When you get new decent project like TIA coming along, it goes up hard.  INJ is going up together with it too.  And so are SOL and AVAX.

I'm thinking FTM could go up hard later then it goes on to the next new coins coming along.  So be on the look out for those new projects.

I guess the lesson here is try to look for new L1's with good devs who are trying to make a network that's decentalized enougn, that's fast and cheap to use.  Paying for 30 bucks in Ethereum per swap is fcking dumb.  It's prolly why people are moving to Solana lately.

that was massive, meanwhile I only get small amount of few DYM at best because eligible for active eth address because i staked in blast, but its just crazy that with such small amount for staking could get few grand.
there has been quite many massive airdrop these days and lucky for those that have the will to follow them thoroughly, these that runs tia node and still stake their tia not just selling are definitely winning big.

If you expect to receive airdrops, always hold your funds in non-custdoial wallet you hold seed for, exchanges are excluded most of time from airdrop snapshots, and even if they were included you will be at mercy of exchange to give you airdrop for portion of funds you hold there.

I happened to have the same case and missed the event. However, some time ago I also traded TIA and really liked looking at the fundamentals. quite good. I think if you have excess funds I would try setting some TIA.

TIA coin is definitely a good and valuable token, if you can hold it for a long time you can definitely reap huge benefits from it. 
Those holding TIA coins can reap the benefits, listed around $2, now priced at $20. TIA coin is very likely to be 50$-70$ in future.

While most of the market is going sideways or trending slightly down, we got TIA which is somewhat having a strong day, up around 7.5% at the daily chart right now.  So that prolly means there's another round of airdrops coming for TIA stakers.   

Don't fade guys, I don't think airdrop season for DA Layer token stakers is over.  If anything, stake a decent amount of TIA, Eigen DA when it comes out and Nubit when that one comes out.

^  A couple of weeks later...  Well that didn't age really well.  Lmao.  Wtf happened to TIA?  I know alts have been selling down a bit as of late but TIA has been selling down more than most alts and it's supposed to be one of the better projects out there.  Is the staking for airdrops meta done or are we just in a point of temporary saturation before it all comes back again?  I think NFT holders of some collections could be the next in line for airdrops.  I'm not sure of Celestia Sloths are officially by the Celestia devs but holding Sloths could replace TIA staking as an eligibility marker.  NFT ownership is harder to sybil.
