I'll take it back to a classic movie: Caddy Shack. One of the bets was that the nephew of one of the players who was a goof ball would pick his nose and he did, they doubled down on it and said I bet you he eats it for double! And he did. I always chuckled at that scene, but it always made me wonder what other kind of ridiculous bets that other people make.

Why do I find the first video is a short advertisement?

I think betting games often occur between us and friends but in a different form. And it's really fun because we will guess what someone will do and if the results are correct, we will win and vice versa.

Maybe when I was a teenager, I often bet with my friends what color our teacher would wear when teaching in the morning. Or bet on anything else. We also used to bet on who would get the highest score after the exam. But unfortunately, I never won with all of them.

Mine isn't from gambling or sports or gaming, it's actually on a being like myself, I have a friend who is handicapped, and I am the only one who knew he is a very strong guy, so we all all outside one day doing some exercises and a group of guys are coming back from the gym, so we had some conversions and that's where they challenge me to 40 push-ups, then someone bought up the idea of placing a bet, I won their cash and I created a joke saying, 40 push ups is nothing, that even my friend here can do it easily..

They all stared into their eyes and one said its impossible, and then another bet was placed and to their surprise my friend who is a handicapped beat the challenge, bearly though but he won, took their money and we called it a day.

He later revealed that he is used to 20 and 30 range, but he is short of money right now so he needed to get that money, lol, we cracked some jokes about it and till today we still talk about that day.

This is a good story!!! You pretty much hustled them hahahha. You can't feel bad on that one though because you helped your handicap friend get some money that he needed. Kind of robinhoodish, taking from the rich and giving to the poor in a sort of way, eh? Thanks for sharing!

I think for me it wasn't something that I did but something that I bet my brother to do for $10. I convinced him to jump into the putt putt waterfall pool when it was already pouring rain for $10 and it was hilarious. He actually ended up having a lot of fun, he had so much fun that our cousin went in to join him thinking I would give him $10 as well (which I didn't lol) we ended up getting kicked out of that place after that hahahha

Back in my college days, there was this one brutal winter that had us freezing our tails off at the bus stop every morning. So, to make those chilly waits a bit more bearable, we started placing little bets on things like guessing the exact time the bus would show up or how late it would be that day. Because we stayed up all night with friends, we once played betting when the morning sun had just risen with a type of game to guess which buses would pass from different directions on the inter-provincial highway. We did that when we were at school and we did this habit very often until we went to college.
The video clip you shared made me remember the past before I was introduced to online gambling games.
Every now and then when we meet, this type of betting game becomes a very meaningful story that gives rise to lots of laughter.

I can't even think about it because it was quite unfortunately for me trying to bet more a casino after I had some huge winning on the casino and think it is going to be like that. I have to wager the remaining funds I have in the casino without think what if I lose. This was one of the painful greedy attempt I have ever indulge in and it hurt me a lot not getting what I intend to gain from the casino. I lost the funds and I regretted because I never think twice before I use those funds to bet creating a very big lose to me. We need to understand what action we are taking before we eventually put our funds to do such thing.

I did have some laughs when I won against a chess hustler who gave me a chess puzzle where I knew exactly the solution to checkmate in 3 moves. He must have thought I had no idea about the puzzle he positioned. I just have $2 in my pocket though.

But I think he will back out if I bet a huge amount to which he will suspect I know the moves. The hustlers have been doing it for years in the chess player's ground, these are cunning guys.

While I was studying at the university I was always short on cash.
1 end of the month it was so bad I only had 200euro but had to pay 300euro the next day for my rent.
So, out of desperation I went to the Casino and made several bets.

Needless to say, I lost it all but a 5euro chip. I put the last chip on roulette number 8 ( my lucky number ), and it came. So I was back to 180euro, so I thought. The next spin 8 comes again and I feel frustrated cause I didn't bet again.

Suddenly the groupier pushes another 180 in my direction. I didn't realize that my initial bet stayed on the table, so I won back to back.
Now I was at 360, enough for the rent. I secured the 300 and played on with the 60 and made another 300.

So I took home 600euro, paid my rent and lived happily ever after. 

And all that after having 5euro and a 1/37 chance left. Best story in my eyes.

At least you have to experience gambling because it deals with luck which we may call fastest luck,sometimes you won't blame someone who is addicted in gambling because what that person have in mind is that they will strictly win and when they fails to win they will continue trying to make sure this people win the gambling, so immediately you are planning to win and recover your lost in gambling you will be tempted to bet more so that you will win a big money, is good to risk but it's not a point whereby you bet without knowing that in gambling you win and you may not win, everyone need to experience gambling and know the spirit behind gambling

I just watched the video, and it's really kind of funny how people gamble on petty things and still win, and when it comes to me, I just can't remember making such silly/petty gambling on any item before, but this video just reminds me of another gambling scene by Will Smith in a 2015 movie titled "Focus", which I must confess happens to be one of my best gambling scene how Will Smith won the in an attempt where there seems to be zero percent odd of him winning, but he eventually won & went away with the $2million.

There are people who have huge hopes for gambling and see it as a tool to change their lives that's why their focus is to win despite all the risks. The problem is they have the wrong mindset towards gambling which makes them fall for worse situations such as gambling addiction. Yes, we can't blame them for falling into addiction since that's their personal choice.
It's fine to take a wild bet sometimes but if we will always do this, will will always put our funds into huge risks which we might only regret in the end. We should always be mindful of our actions no matter how big or small our bets are.

Some people enjoy turning everything into a gambling opportunity. When they discuss or argue about something you will find these kind of people placing bets on their beliefs. Sometimes it's cool and fun but other times it can lead to much trouble either because to lack of money to pay the bet and getting beaten or just losing too much money.
I believe that when someone starts seeing everything as a gambling opportunity they might be addicted and should seek help to regain control of their life. I had a crazy friendly bet myself in school with a friend back in days. The bet started when he said I would easily pass my exams because i study more than him and I was telling him that I do really study I wouldn’t pass anything this year so we made a bet. Unfortunately what I did was regrettable because I had to intentionally fail my exams to fulfill the bet and win. As a result neither of us passed that year lol…. and I wasted a lot of time in my life just for a stupid bet and some cash.  I guess I was young and foolish but it was a valuable lesson learned about gambling.

I think betting for any thing that come to our minds. Every night, me and my buddy, when we are still like 10-12 years olds, will bet on the registration numbers of the incoming cars, at least the last number.

So we will place a bet and then look for that incoming car at it approach us sitting in porch. We will do it at night, until each one of us will go home. back. I wouldn't consider this tale a very wild one, neither was I the one who made the bet. I was only made aware of the bet and the fact that I won to the amazement of the bettors who happen to be some junior colleagues making a bet on me vs another guy.

It was about a girl of who they considered above my class. I won her heart amidst every other interest she was having then and the fact that I had no money then as compared to the other interest she was having, was what made the bet much talked about later when I got to learn about the bet.

To be honest, I don't remember well if I ever placed bets on wild things before. However, there were those times when I had to wager a huge amount of money on random games I knew little about, and fortunately I won them.

It happened only a few times when I bet more than $250 in some live games and I managed to get a good return on them, what was even more insane was that I used this money on completely random football games that I had no knowledge of.

I mean it might not be considered wild but those were some of the few bets that I can recall from time to time even now.

And as for the bet, I guess I could use my childhood bets for yah. Normally when we are on our dinning table after we are done with our meal sometimes my siblings and I will place a bet on who can finish a big cup filled with water would take all our meat and eat it and some would try, after consuming after of the cup they'll give up same goes for me, but my sister does win sometimes depending on the dish we ate. So that could serve as wild in this scenario.

I remember a bet placed during a gathering. It looks silly, but it always stands in my mind. The bet was to eat rice cake, how much you can eat is the question. Just for fun I said I can eat what you say and the bet amount is mere $2. The number of cup cake to be eaten was 25 and suddenly I agreed and on that they increased it to 30, I said I'm ok with the number. Started a s I completed the task, and everyone were laughing as none expected it. Finally the bet amount isn't settled, but it was something fun and joyful moment.
