Congrats to the ones who got Stark. I missed this one as I wasn't that interested.  Their Discord felt like it got sybilled a bit, kinda gave me the same vibe as Wormhole's Discord.    It's just hard to have a conversation over there.  Everybody is like 'hey, gm, let's grind, how are you' like wtf.  Lolol.  All that to level up and get roles.  Not sure if they really get rewarded with an airdrop for spamming.  If they do then congrats.  Maybe I should've spammed and tried to get rifter role.

But I heard PYTH stakers get an Airdrop...  We'll see.

I never participate in Discord debates, limiting my presence only to "GM" in the relevant section, as I consider all these received roles a waste of time. Projects such as Starknet, L0, zkSync and Scroll, we should not skip - these are tier 1, for which there will be a generous airdrop. Devs were given huge allocations from Starknet, those who sensed this criteria already from Celestia's airdrop that there are perks for being active on Github were rewarded well with $STRK.

^  I'm hearing some shenanigans are going on with this project.  It's not just about more of the allocation was given to the devs, it's the team changing the rules and saying that TGE happened a year earlier, 'technically' then they can unlock the allo for the team and early investors on April this year instead of next year.  :/  And it doesn't help their case that some guy from their team was calling their community a group of e-beggars.  Oof what a douche...  I'd dump that sht so fast and discourage other people from bridging to their chain.

And it's not just that.  I heard there were other times when the team made their community felt like they weren't needed.

Yes, indeed, there were many dissatisfied with the way the airdrop was distributed. And accordingly, all the negativity is created by such dissatisfied people who believe that the team has wrongfully deprived them of their reward. But actually Starknet did not come up with any new criteria, taking as a basis the Arbitrum, in which the hold of 0.005 ETH was also a necessary criterion, however, as with Celestia.

damn i wish i had contributed to their github but what im doing is just retroactive in their blockchain i wonder if other blockchain also opens up contribution to their github because i would try my best to contribute.
such a missed opportunity that could be turning out to be huge, as of now in the kucoin pre-market section strk already priced around $2, those that are truly active into contributing as well as eligible for the retroactive by actively using the blockchain reaching that massive volume, well i guess congratulation, easy $20k for you.
though the 0.005 ETH limitation are making people rage around, hopefully the other airdrops are just gonna be as big as this since im also committed heavily on the other blockchains.

I remember the e-begger thing, really cunt of them, projects who treat users like this never last. Paraswap also treated their users something similar way, received backlash for their overly stringent criteria and $PSP went into ashes shortly after launch, to this day it has not recovered.

Though, IMO, Starknet did better in terms of criteria comparatively but in their way of removing sybils many genuine users got left out, and good sybils got in anyway, look at tvplus, lol.

Also,  I feel it was error on their part that required users to hold 0.005 ETH to be eligible for airdrop instead of this much amount on Starknet chain in whatever form. I felt they would rectify it, but they didn't.

You can search for github for whatever chains you come across with potential for airdrop as most of them tend to be open source.

Yes, indeed, there were many dissatisfied with the way the airdrop was distributed. Mmm I don't think I had .005 ETH in my wallet at the time when I received my airdrop as I already stopped playing around Arbitrum.  But the .005 thing is fair.  They need to filter out sybils...  I think the next step towards acheiving this is for devs to start looking into established communities of highly valued NFT's.  There's this NFT called the Pikenians that had a public mint at .1 SOL or something crazy low like that and it's now valued over 7 SOL because of the future potential of gaining eligibility for future airdrops. 

It's crazy and funny how things are in crypto rn.

Do you really think there were real users on Starknet? LOL And what did they do there, if in fact there is still no ecosystem as such. I think that transactions were performed there solely for activity in order to receive airdrop, as an early user of the blockchain. Let's see how the activity in the network decreases after the airdrop is received.

Users had hundred/thousand dollars worth lps, or in different tokens like usdc, but they were filtered out because they didn't have it in Ether. I say it was mistake, it was chain's token airdrop so count the user's all holdings on your chain.

Trying to filter is sybils is alright, but no project can have success with it, it's better for project if they just go with it, and consider them testers for their chain. Even if farmers sell, someone buys, and it's only a win. Some projects fear dump of token but if the project itself is good, price will recoup sooner or later.

Yeah, activity was already heavily decreased even before airdrop was announced, saw chart on Twitter couple days ago. Also, in terms of TVL, it's heavily lagging behind OP and Arbitrum, and with the criticism they have received, it's likely to get worse.

But Starknet drama is quite an entertainment.

In that case, it's totally unfair and they should've done a better job with the .005 ETH thing.  Like even if an address has  less than .005 but it has a high transaction volume and has more than say 1000 bucks LP'd for more than a month or so then that address gets an airdrop.

I think Stark devs got lazy which is why I think the Layer Zero devs might get it right as they're taking their time working on getting it right.  Hopefully I get in.  I got all the roles in Stargate's Discord.

I do not think that the LayerZero team has encountered a problem, and cannot decide how to distribute airdrop among participants who have been testing the protocol for a long time. It is simply advantageous for them to delay the distribution process, as this allows them to make huge profits on a daily basis from unreasonably high commissions. As for the roles in Discord, I think they will not act as an additional criterion for receiving airdrop, although I also have all available roles there except for the moderator)
