I've noticed that many people are interested in buying domain names using Bitcoin, and I wanted to share a step-by-step guide on how to do this on Namecheap. It's a straightforward process, and with the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies, it's becoming an increasingly accepted payment method. Here's how you can purchase a domain name with Bitcoin on Namecheap:

Step 1: Create a Namecheap Account

If you don't already have a Namecheap account, you'll need to sign up. Visit Namecheap's website (https://www.namecheap.com) and click on "Sign Up" in the upper right corner. Follow the registration process and make sure to provide accurate information.

Step 2: Search for Your Domain Name

Once you're logged in, use the domain search bar on Namecheap's homepage to find the domain name you want to purchase. Enter your desired domain and click "Search."

Step 3: Add Your Domain to Cart

If the domain you want is available, you'll see it listed with a price. Click the "Add to Cart" button next to your chosen domain name.

Step 4: View Your Cart

After adding your domain to the cart, click the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner to review your order.

Step 5: Select Payment Method

On the cart page, you'll see your domain name(s) and the total cost. Below that, you'll find a section titled "Payment Method." Click on it and select "Bitcoin."

Step 6: Review and Confirm

Double-check your order details to ensure everything is correct, and then click "Confirm Order."

Step 7: Make Payment with Bitcoin

After confirming your order, you'll be redirected to a page with instructions on how to complete the Bitcoin payment. You'll see a Bitcoin wallet address and a QR code. Use your Bitcoin wallet to send the required amount to the provided address or scan the QR code.

Step 8: Wait for Confirmation

Once your Bitcoin payment is successfully processed, you'll receive a confirmation email from Namecheap. This email will include details about your domain purchase.

Step 9: Domain Ownership

Your domain name is now yours! Namecheap will take care of the registration process, and you'll have full ownership of the domain. That's it!

I also made a complete video that covers this subject in detail. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzdNa2lgcMg
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

Namecheap is my go-to domain registrar for TLD,  this is a good tutorial but I feel that there are some important information and features Namecheap is offering that OP did not include.

I might create my own tutorial on Namecheap registration since this is about Buying a domain with a Bitcoin tutorial and include those missing features. I registered all my domains on Namecheap this is my go-to domain registrar for TLD domains not only TLD but local extensions I have two .ph country extensions registered here.
I am not aware of these domain registrars that accept Bitcoin since Namecheap is my host provider and I can easily link my domains to my host, propagation will not take long if your host is the same as your domain registrar, I will explore these domains registrars and see what features they have.

Your instructions/steps are basic and it's already given when you're a regular user of namecheap and regularly doing bitcoin transactions (paying bitcoin on online shops) which is there are only 2 bitcoin payment options there, either using BTCPay or Bitpay and both are understandable when it comes to its own instructions.

I understand that you had good intention and I hope it's not merit hunting, but things that you described were already discussed so many times. Your guide would look better if you would add step by step images, but yeah, you're newbie, so, you can't upload images.
But why just Namecheap? I have good experience with theirservice in all these years, but it's not only service where you can buy domain with Bitcoin. Though, IIRC they were accepting Bitcoins only through BitPay and it's probably worse than not accepting Bitcoin at all. But fortunately later they added BTCPayServer.
P.S. It's that your Youtube channel? Haven't checked deeper, but from first glance it looks nice Smiley.

I would add to this lost njal.la, which is th3 most privacy domain option.

They are privacy focused and they don't even know who you are.  Not like other whonpeotect your identity,  they claim to offer anonymous service

If you are going to make a guide make sure to include a top-up guide which is not included on this topic.

I respect your effort, but does this really require creating a topic? Charging a balance in Namecheap or buying a domain with Bitcoin is not much different from using Bitcoin to make payments, and even in Namecheap all you do is replenish your balance with Bitcoin and use that balance to buy domains and not buy a domain directly, which is different from, for example, buying an Ethereum domain and mining the domain using gas fees.

Even if the service provider does not support Bitcoin, you can use gift cards or pay using Visa cards that are charged with Bitcoin.

If he does it for Namecheap, he should do it for other domain registries as well.
Namecheap is perhaps one of the easiest to use (that's why I wonder why this service gets a video + forum tutorial), but it's neither the most popular nor the cheapest, plus the user experiences are not the most positive (at least mine and some around me that I've heard of).
For example, BitMaxz suggested a few way better registrars.

OP made an effort on this tutorial but looks more like a promotion of his Youtube channel one of the features that OP missed is the use of coupon code, Namecheap is very generous in giving coupon codes to new and old users and there are sites that are dedicated to giving Namecheap coupons.
All my purchase and renewals on Namecheap comes with coupon code you can get as high as 50% off on new domains and all of their other plans.
And another one is using a beastmode when checking a domain name or keywords that you want to use in your domain, this is important if you are into domain flipping

Anyway it's a simple tutorial coming from OP and I guess newbies can understand how it works

I have been using Namecheap from the beginning to buy domain names for my clients. And of course, I am using Bitcoin as a payment method. There is nothing special there; it's just a normal procedure when we make any Bitcoin payment. More easily, you can make money through Bitcoin and use it during checkout. So you can buy anything from Namecheap more easily. I don't feel better about creating a thread on how to pay bitcoin for a domain. Those who use Bitcoin are well aware of it.

Yes, I think there are quite a few registrars that now accept BTC for domain names registration, and you can also visit here to buy a domain name on your own name and can also add privacy protection to it, all using BTC as a payment method: https://www.zakservers.com/cart.php?a=add&domain=register

Zakservers.com: Offshore dedicated servers with 15 offshore locations choice, BTC and Crypto accepted, 24/7/365 customer support.

You have to offer something better than the big names in the industry,  price comparison is one of the considerations, you cannot offer $15 on your platform while the big names offer $10 with a discount code that could lower the price to $8.
One of the perks of using Namecheap is the free SSL that will save clients $15 for their first year.
For your business to take off as a small player you have to equal or even offer something that they do not have or you will become other options by webmasters.

High privacy is the only thing that may outperform these large companies that accept Bitcoin. No matter how high the price is, as long as you give subscribers the opportunity to enhance their privacy, which may push them to ignore the high price. Otherwise, there is no justification for using your service compared to larger, cheaper and more trusted services.

This service has low reviews https://www.trustpilot.com/review/zakservers.com

Yes, I think there are quite a few registrars that now accept BTC for domain names registration, and you can also visit here to buy a domain name on your own name and can also add privacy protection to it, all using BTC as a payment method: https://www.zakservers.com/cart.php?a=add&domain=register

I checked your popularity on Google so far for a small player you're still doing good but Namecheap rule it as the domain registrar that accept Bitcoin because its a complete platform, domain, hosting, ssl seller and domain marketplace, its hard to get a share of the market for new player in the industry, you have to do something more like lower your price offering freebies, age is also important, you're only 3 years in the business but if you can keep your service clean with no complaint and an excellent support you will go a long way but it will take sometime.

One of the best place to promote your service is webhostingtalk.com
Since you are already a Junior Member you should post images it will help to make your announcement interesting.

Take note not only NameCheap is accepting Bitcoin as payment to buy domains there are many of them I will list them below.

My list of domains where you can buy domains that accept Bitcoin and other Crypto below

#1 Hostinger
#2 Namesilo
#3 Vultr
#4 steadyturtle

Fixed that for you. I don't think anyone should run a crypto website on Hostinger after my experience.

Also where is Porkbun on this list - they are an excellent domain name registrar and they don't give you trouble about domains, just a no-nonsense crypto gateway.

This is zakservers the dedicated server provider right?

Why do they need all those things? Price per value is more important.

Same here I have a bad experience using Hostinger but the issue is only on my hosting account(Super slow) not on the domain itself which is why I hosted most of my domains from them to AWS and then Namecheap the domain from Hostinger is fine.

I haven't heard of Porkbun and never tested it yet which is why it's not on my list. I may try that domain provider in the future.

Thanks all for your valuable inputs, and yes we do focus on our quality a lot, and happy to tell that till now we have a almost 99% happy customers with us, the problem is, most of our clients buy services from us and want to remain anonymous, so most of them pay in BTC, so since they wanna keep their privacy private, they do not post much reviews, neither a good hosting company should force its clients to make reviews, we never did that, and we hate fake reviews too, as you know many providers just buy fake reviews, as for pricing, actually if you really buy a domain name from any famous company, many of them are running promo's on first year pricing, the actual pricing for a .com will be $15 or $18, in some cases more, but they would advertise it as $9 or even $6, what will happen is this, once you a buy domain with them, they will lock it for 1st year, means you can not transfer it, and from second year you get an invoice of like $18 etc, so its more of a marketing gimmick, you can see that written somewhere almost hidden in their TOS, which they will give you a link too, once you complaint about it, still not here to say if other hosting companies do this or that, its upon the client, but we want to keep our services as clear as they could be and with topnotch quality, so pricing is transparent, and we already have good number of clients, its just that they wanna stay anonymous and keep their privacy, so they do not post much reviews around.

Still thanks a lot for your inputs, and about SSL certificates, nowadays even cPanel is offering free SSL certificates and many other options for clients too, still we do sell premium level SSL certificates too, if some one needs.

And yes our primary business is selling offshore privacy enabled high quality dedicated servers with 15 offshore locations choice, though domain names, SSL certificates and server management services are addons, and thanks again to all.

Zakservers.com: Offshore dedicated servers with 15 offshore locations choice, BTC and Crypto accepted, 24/7/365 customer support.
