Hey guys I greet everyone and hope we are doing good. Before I start firstly guys how do would you feel when during tithe and offering and you see the user passing Bitcoin wallet address to you to make payment into?

As a crypto enthusiast I will be a great pleasure for me to transfer my offering to the church via Bitcoin because this would be alternative means of paying offering and it wouldn't be like a surprise to me because I was already used to transactions of Bitcoin almost in weekly basis thus sending some coin to church as an offering would have been a welcome development.

Personally I feel that the adoption level is increasing and that's all we have wanted right? But yet again I see a new business opportunity this churches are trying to exploit. We know how the Nigerian churches are significantly extorting their members all in the name of blessings (God blessings doesn't come with a price tag). I think using or a church having a Bitcoin wallet shows how desperate they are and would leave no stone unturned just to get funds out of members. What are your thoughts about it .
It's not necessary a kind of extortion to me because while attending a church service you are expected ( not compulsory) to pay an offering or tithe with any means that is very convenient either by paying cash in an envelope or by transfer via Bank or by sending through Bitcoin, I believe this is a new innovation by those churches and if possible they print  QR code in the Church Sunday service pamphlet, though I agreed with you that some churches had started going extreme using different tactics to lure members to give to the church such as "Seed offering" etc personally I would avoid those type of churches.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

In some churches in Nigeria right now, you will find people talking about how their pastors are taking advantage of them to raise money for the church under the cover name of collecting tithes. However, in my opinion, accepting cryptocurrency at churches is not a problem.

Because In the modern day, tithes were paid to the church in a variety of ways, including with cowries, jewellery, iron bars, and other non-cash items. So, since the pastor has the ability to accept payment, I see introducing cryptocurrency as a tithe in the church as a new development.

We live in a new world, a world of cryptocurrencies, so accepting them in a church doesn't mean the pastor would start pressuring his followers to start paying tithes in cryptocurrencies.
