Democrats and the media shrugged.

The corporate news media all but refused to cover the opening hearing of the House impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden on Thursday, and to the extent they did, it was only to repeat, at the behest of the White House, the exhausted mantra that there’s “no evidence” connecting Biden to his son Hunter’s international bribery scheme.

(The New York Times ran with a cursory and misleadingly headlined article, “First Impeachment Hearing Yields No New Information on Biden,” that boasted “even their [Republicans’] witnesses said the case for impeachment hadn’t been made.” Which, of course the case hasn’t been made yet. That’s why you launch an inquiry, of which Thursday was day one.)

But if the media had actually covered it, the American public might have heard more about the mounds of damning evidence now piling up by the day, including the release on Wednesday by the House Ways and Means Committee of reams of text messages and emails between Hunter Biden, his uncle James Biden, and a colorful array of foreign oligarchs, business associates, and bagmen. All told, House Republicans presented more than two dozen pieces of evidence on Thursday linking Joe Biden to his son’s overseas business dealings.

This evidence was the centerpiece of the hearing Thursday, which served to lay the groundwork for the impeachment inquiry. So far, the evidence suggests the Biden family “business” is exactly what it appears to be: an influence-peddling scheme on a scale never before seen in American history. George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, who testified at the hearing, said that even though Washington, D.C., is “awash” in influence-peddling, he’s never seen “anything of this size and complexity,” and that Congress has a “duty to determine if the president is involved in what is a known form of corruption.”

If you have any evidence about Joe  Biden, just quote them here with a sited source. You didn't provide any evidence so far. Implying something, or opponent's opinion about a person is not a proof. But then again i am not certain that proof is a concept you are familiar with.

Stress causes recovering addicts to relapse.  I think we can all agree at least the last couple years have been pretty bad ones for Hunter - from his Rudy getting hold of his personal laptop and sharing all those dick pics and crack pipes, plus every american mouth breather has been programmed to hate his guts, plus there has to be some deep guilt over all the problems he's causing his father.  And things could get even worse.  Trump literally suggested he deserved the death penalty.  And there's a very real possibility that Trump is re-elected.  And if he is, it wouldn't be unreasonable to say the Trump won because Hunter is a fuck up.


And all of this while never deciding to become a public figure.  He wrote a book, and painted some art, but it's not like you see him on the news or twitter talking shit like Trumps sons.  He fucked up and should be held accountable for the decisions he's made, but he doesn't deserve to be treated the way he is.

I honestly don't think it matters how much evidence they have or present.  The system is broken.  They literally have video of him talking about exactly what he did in Ukraine to help his son and nothing happens.  I doubt that proving he and his family took 8 figures in bribes will do anything.  In the grand scheme of things where most lifelong politicians end up being worth hundreds of millions of dollars for illegal stock trades, I don't think they probably consider Biden taking a few million here and there for his family as a big deal.  They'd rather point fingers at Trump for some reason, which I'm not even sure why he's been mentioned in this hearing.

The mainstream media won’t carry misleading theories in guise of so called evidence. They’ve seen how much money Fox News had to cough up for knowingly misleading and lying to its viewers and would prefer to stay clear from wild unproven claims.

Frankly, I had thought those tapes with women and consuming hard drugs had been recorded before he got professional help or something like it, I had not considered the idea of him relapsing and going back onto consuming crack cocaine.

In 2018, James Biden received $600,000 in loans from, Americore—a financially distressed and failing rural hospital operator. According to bankruptcy court documents, James Biden received these loans "based upon representations that his last name, 'Biden,' could 'open doors' and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections."

On March 1, 2018, Americore wired a $200,000 loan into James and Sara Biden's personal bank account – not their business bank account. On the same day, James Biden wrote a $200,000 check from this same personal bank account to Joe Biden.
