If you want to prevent theft you need to conceal your gear. I remember years ago some bitcoin miner had probably hundreds of those bitcoin usb flash miners in his apartment. And he left his window and blinds open. And during the day was fine but at night there was nothing but hundreds of LEDs flashing. Eventually I think someone called the cops and they paid him a visit. The moral of the story is you need to hide your gear.

If you leave your window open wide and show your Neighbour all your gpus you might become a target since everyone things that crypto people are rich. Just use common sense.

Currently 65 dollars a day in profit. God I hope a Kawpow ASIC is never released.

okay got to get the 470s back on line.  nice
I don’t know where the profit of 65 dollars from 105 old video cards comes from. And these video cards consume 15 kilowatts of electricity per hour.
https://hashrate.no/gpus/470
If I mine, then with my electricity price the average profit per day will be 30-35 dollars, but this can change any day. Don’t forget the time when mining on these video cards was unprofitable.
It was just for a couple of days on k1pool, might have been a lucky few days for the pool. now its averaging around 30 dollars a day it seems but still I am quick pleased. Im currently looking into replacing these cards with BC-160 Cards sometime in the future.

Thanks everyone for the replies.
It looks like DNX is the best one to mine a the moment. Spent the week/weekend setting up the cards and have 90 online as of right now, the last 10 seem to be duds or non functional. lets see where this goes.
10 percent of non-working video cards is still normal. Check the fuses on these video cards, but just don't test them on good mining motherboards to avoid blowing them. Just first watch the video on YouTube on how to do it correctly. Perhaps you can repair a couple more video cards.
I have it reduced down to 5 cards being duds due to the GPU's pcie bus being burnt to a crisp. I have purchased 10 more BC-160 cards from aliexpress for around 130 USD each to replace the broken cards and theyre running great.
Need more video cards.  Smiley LOL
The Kawpow algorithm will be good for AMD video cards for a long time. On Nvidia video cards it is not always profitable.
AMD BC-160 are more reliable due to turbines instead of coolers. But cheap video cards also take up a lot of space, but the payback of $130 in 9 months is good.
Kawpow+ AI bases coins seem to be the winning formula right now lol.

Since electricity is free for now, it seems like stronger older RNDA cards like RX 5700 or BC 160 seem to be a great cheap option compared to stronger Nvidia cards.

I'm hoping too see 1-2 dollars rev per rx470 a day in a bull run like 2021 but this card design is pushing a decade now =/

This would be possible if there were ASICs for Ethereum Classic. But these video cards have few algorithms on which they can give a good hashrate now, and many algorithms are limited by the memory of the video card. But you have a profitable option with electricity, so you are not in danger of losing money.

Rx470 were giving even 5 dollars per day in 2021  Cool

This was a flaw of the ASIC manufacturers.
Now there are already good universal chips for replacing processors in mining and for replacing video cards on profitable coins, ASICs are also appearing very quickly.
In my opinion, 50 cents per day of profit for this video card on free electricity is already very good.

Do you see Kawpow ASICS in the near future or is it impossible due to the KAWPOWs extensive use of the GPU components?

The mine is doing well so far, some old riserless motherboards that I inherited as well are starting to burn out as well (pcie slots not working) so I'm slowly been replacing those since the hardware is still cheap at this point.

the HP/Dell server PSUs work very well and havent had any issues with those.

96 out of the 100 cards are online, the 4 damaged ones basically just saved the GPU fans from those.
