People who have minimal investment knowledge should definitely invest in bitcoin, I think people who have no investment knowledge invest in shitcoin. People with investment savvy should never invest in a coin that they will never get back. Investing in shitcoin will never return that investment. One of the safest coins to invest in is Bitcoin. 
Investors usually invest in this coin for the long term. There are many coins in the market but among many coins Bitcoin is the best. A new investor can never go wrong if he observes the Bitcoin section carefully. Newbies must know well first, to know well they can use different mediums but the best medium for them will be bitcointalk forum because everything is discussed very well here.

What i have seen so far is that people invest in shitcoin after they gain enough knowledge about bitcoin. Some of them think they are pretty smart and there are cryptos that will outperform bitcoin because they are fast and cheap. However some become greedy and look for projects that can give them a higher return on investment than bitcoin. Their greed and pride motivate them to make such bold moves, which most of the time lead to total disaster.

The dumbest thing to do is to waste your time on altcoins no matter what they market trend could be at any point in time,  this is very much a thing that every cryptocurrency investor should already know to the point that they know what and how best to interact with the altcoin market since the market is made of of high presence of fake and shitcoins that have to derail the motivation of the investors who know what the market looks like and how it functions.

Bitcoin is the father of all crypto currency. The name is an eye opener to crypto, and has brought or attracted many people into crypto currency today. And has continued to stand firmly without fading.

Many turn into shitcoin investor. After knowing about Bitcoin. Unfortunately it didn't work out the way they thought.
I am a tipical example of that. when I heard about Bitcoin how it started from $0.01 to thousands of dollars I thought shitcoin also has that potential. I was working and was investing in valueless coins thinking dey will be like Bitcoin. but never did as Bitcoin. all gradually disappeared. And that made me regret no investing it on Bitcoin then.

Although some people were pretty lucky to make alot of dollars from shitcoin, but mine didn't work out in any ways, so I would like you guys to shear your ideas on this an the possible solution.

But he does have a point where there are greedy investors who are just looking for quick short term gains on shitcoins with no real use cases or fundamentals like memecoins.

As for me, BTCs are my main holdings and I have done DCA (dollar-cost averaging) sometime mid-last year. ETH so far is the best altcoin to hold long term and some of the notable ones with decent market cap and trading volume are only good for short and mid-term. Just my own insight only.

However, I think they choose shitcoins to invest in because the price increases and decreases are very volatile. they take advantage of this moment to make money quickly. However, many people get trapped and end up holding shitcoins for the long term.
However, If the goal is simply to invest, then in the crypto world, choosing bitcoin is the right thing to do. However, still, people sometimes choose to look for cheap investments, so that they can get a large amount with the hope of increasing many times over.

Yes it is true that long term investment is better in Bitcoin. Although there is a Bitcoin and Shitcoin conversation going on here. I'd say it's not bad to employ B in ETH as well as Bitcoin. I am investing in both Bitcoin and Shitcoin, many people are afraid to invest in Shitcoin like OP.

Apart from bitcoin, all the rest are shitcoins, there is no coin comparable to bitcoin that can bring real utility and most practical applications. The rest is nothing more than an environment for speculators and gamblers. There is not much difference whether we are topcoin or meme, they will disappear at some point after making some profit and leaving investors miserable. But with bitcoin that will never happen. But every investor has their choice, if they like to take risks or like to gamble then altcoins are an option, while for those who like to be a little safer bitcoin is the choice.

We should do our research before investing in any altcoins and not just follow hype online because most of the altcoins that are trending don't have any new thing but just copycat of other altcoins.

Someone keeps on deleting my comment just because I am a bit critical of Bitcoin. It looks like the Bitcoin community can't even handle the slightest amount of criticism. Bitcoin is one of the sure projects we need to hold in the market to make food profits but we should not have the mentality of putting our money in one basket. This may not always work for us especially in the crypto market. It is good when we diversify our investment into different projects so that we can earn more from the market. One of the things we have to note is to always put our money in a strong projects that would not end up become a rug pull or scam. A lot of people had out there money in a promising project which still end up becoming a scam. This is one of the reasons why many people prefer to out there funds in Bitcoin than altcoins.

But the good thing is that I didn't invest much of my portfolio in shitcoin; I invested only 20%, and the loss ratio I kept low was because I diversified my portfolio under DCA later. After my loss happened in shitcoin, later I recovered, but not only recovered but also gained profit. And after that, until today, I didn't invest in shitcoin, but I used to give more emphasis to Bitcoin. And the reality is that shitcoin is the best way to lose money, and literally, if we look, there is no other coin except Bitcoin, which is showing profitability and reliability in the future. Nothing guarantees profit in this industry, it just so happened that Bitcoin is one of the cryptos which are having huge demand over this industry because of its lrge chin and community of users/investors. Bitcoin will indeed give you higher chances of earning profit from investing into it but ‘shitcoins’ could give you more in a Shorter period of time. High risk and high reward; as long as you know how DCA works and how to red the candles in the market, you’d have better outcome with your chosen token to invest. But nothing will happen in an instant; you have to meet a particular proficiency in this industry to master how things are working for both Bitcoin and Shitcoins. Analogy is simple; why are there people who are getting that much from the mentioned category of crypto? That alone can support the claim that shitcoins still are profitable.
