First time I heard about this, and I think it's crazy. As a gambler, we should be responsible enough to know the risk of what we entered. Well, you don’t have to wonder anymore as everyone is free to do whatever they want. You should get used to seeding more women in the gambling scene.
I don’t think all women are as helpless and emotionally fragile and they sure know the risks involved as men do. Everyone and not just women can get very dramatic after losing out on a bet. They’re way more men than women in the gambling scene today and if you do some little research, you’ll find cases where men have become so emotional about their losses that they go ahead to do some stupid stuff. As there are fewer women gambling, stories of them being dramatic would probably be noticed more often.

It depends on the individual and how he/she handles situations like these and nothing to do with gender. I know of women who are risk takers and who keep their emotions in check.
