Tyson Fury: "I’ve been in love with boxing for such a long time – from being a little boy – and I’m probably at the end of my career in the next few years. It’s been a love-hate relationship."

For the first time in an interview with Queensberry Boxing, Tyson Fury hinted at his retirement. As he gets older the inevitable was going to happen regardless but to hear him accepting he has a short time left in boxing was poignant. Before retiring he would probably want to beat Usyk to regain all the available titles and then beat the winner of the Dubois vs Joshua fight to take the IBF title and then maybe have one title defence before retiring.
For that reason, I suppose it means he should be fully focused on winning the rematch against Usyk in December 2024 otherwise his career will probably be over immediately.
The "next few years" could man anything between 2-9 years, so it's not so much of hinting t retirement as it is just stating the obvious.
But yeah, losing the rematch to Usyk will probably cripple his career if not end it. He could still be trying to get some high profile fights though, like one against AJ (if he didn't make it to get to/win the unification fight) or maybe a quick rematch against Ngannou, just to mak a statement and wash away the bad taste after their first fight.
Te poll is now closed, but I think I'd vote for Fury.
