It checks your credit score before allowing you to use the service AFAIK.

Yes it does but I was able to qualify instantly.

I'm going to burn Gox for $500 and see what happens.

Stay tuned.  Grin Grin Grin

hehe, I am curious to see how that plays out. Do keep us informed.

Legally you're burning Dwolla since it is them that is extending you the credit and not Gox. That is the issue though, due to past experiences people are concerned that Dwolla will try to 'pass the buck'. I hope they do and find one of these 'little Bitcoin thing' exchanges sues their asses.  If I were one of the echanges I would make Dwolla agree in writing that they are garunteeing to cover monies sent on credit based transactions..

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

There is no way they're going to guarantee the credit based transactions for Bitcoin purchases they don't do it with the non credit transactions. I doubt they care if they lose the entire Bitcoin industry at this point as it got them to where they are now and they can grow from other users.

Despite being competitors we're pretty friendly and I really hope Mt Gox doesn't get slammed with $500 credit Dwolla transfers that all get pulled back. If they do I hope they spot it and drop Dwolla immediately.

Bahahaha!!lol!111

Dwolla has already had to put the brakes on their 'instant' feature. Sounds like they ran out of money to give away for free...

Dwolla...I just went to read about it, and there is a little button that says 'Let Me Know' so you get a ding when it's available again.

Yeah I clicked some button like that on the 16th and haven't heard anything...meanwhile I sit and wait for my funds to clear while the price jumps up $1/BTC.  Damn dwolla, would have done better to pay crypto the $15 fee.

Losing hundreds of Bitcoins with the best scammers in the business - BFL, Avalon, KNC, HashFast.
