Rather than being biased and supporting one side, it's better we all stand up and declare our support for peace to reign. If not for any other reason, at least for the sake of the innocent civilians (most especially women and children).

While I kind of agree with this point of view, we also should keep in mind that for both sides, this conflict has reached a point where peace is no longer an option as long as the opposite side is still up and in arms. Rather than setting the political escenario for peace, both sides have decided to escalate this situation, resulting in the unnecessary lost of life and even kidnappings by the Hamas forces conquering parts of Israel.

I expect Israel taking control of the situation eventually and retaliate on Gaza strip even harsher. It is an never ending cycle.

Everyone wants peace, no doubt about it. However, when Hamas massacred Israelis yesterday, you can't just be shouting peace! It doesn't work. World leaders should condemn Hamas, and drag them to court. But that won't happen so Israel will counterattack Hamas with way more gun power.

Peace will come if Hamas/Palestine realizes that they already lost the war a long time ago. Time to move on without poking Bees' nest. Now is like a slap battle between a kid, and a huge muscular man. I won't be surprised if there is no Gaza after this war. It's sad, but it's the reality.

I also stand for peace but how far we are going to continue preaching peace is yet to be ascertain in this war. This is a fight that started several decades ago and yet kept on after sometime. The peace talks in the UN security council just held recently has failed and both parties don't seem to have reached an agreement to stop. I see more escalation of the fight and some countries to join, at the moment Iran has been figured to be supporting Palestine even though they have not come open to show their support. Russia is already in the side of Palestine while US have been longtime friends with Israel, so this war is sort of bringing different blocs of interest in it, hope this won't begin the third world war.

We're all for peace.

But you can see that each side are having now their support from other countries and that's not a good sign of what you're advocating. You're not alone on this one but we're barely heard by them.

One has the other countries on their back.

And the same goes for the other one.

It's all noisy and poor are those victims, the innocent citizens that are in the midst of it. They don't want this war, they don't want to get apprehend and get kidnapped.

All of them want peace but for both sides, this is what is peace to them before it's taken. There should be casualties and collaterals.

I want peace too, billions of people in whole world want peace, but it doesn't really matter what we want. In whole history of humanity, almost whole time there was wars or bigger and smaller conflicts.
I'm not saying that Israel is innocent and there is no right side in this conflict. But what HAMAS did simply can't be justified. Killing innocent civilians, kidnapping women and children. I'm not even talking about what they're doing with dead people. It's difficult to call them as humans. They will pay huge price for what they did, but worst part of it that thousands of innocent people will die.

I support the idea of peace prevailing between the two countries, but I can't begin to preach for it now in countries who don't want to hear it. The two nations are engaged in a long-running dispute and requesting that it end would be difficult given the loss of life, destruction of property, and other harm it has caused.

So let's allow them to dig it out with one another in this war so that the next time, the other country would learn on how not to attack first and seek for lasting peace. It is not today that people around the globe have been seeking for peace to happen between the people for Israel and Palestine. They choose not to be at peace with one another. They prefer to address themselves as enemies for lives.

I totally agree with everything you’ve said. Unfortunately this is the main topic of conversation in the developed world at the moment. Something needs to be done to broker peace ASAP. Too many innocent people are losing their lives on both sides. Leaders need to sit down & stop this ASAP.

I agree the situation is dire and blood may continue to be spillled, sadly. But just because we do not see a peaceful solution to this conflict, does not mean we are supposed to give up on peace for both sides.

It is obvious that there are some factions in Israel which seek to occupy and possibly annex Gaza for themselves, but Hamas is doing nothing to help Palestine to reach a peaceful outcome to get their territory recognized, have access to food, medicine and water. There are violations of the international laws being committed by both sides and yet, some people seem not to even care for the civilians who are just collateral damage for the leaders of Hamas and the Israel government.

I wouldn't compare this conflict with war between Russia and Ukraine. It's much more complicated and have deeper historical background. Both sides have done terrible things and war that we have now was inevitable. And I don't see someone who would be right in this conflict.
Israel and their actions is probably responsible for creation of Hamas. And in all these years whole Gaza was built on hate towards Israel. On the other hand, people in Gaza selected Hamas terrorist to be their legitimate representatives.

I quite understand you. In as much as I wouldn't want to take side, I think what we need to actually bring solution to this menace is justice. If the United Nations can be neutral in solving the lingering issues surrounding this continuous conflicts, I believe justice will be served and each side will maintain their lane.

I quite understand you. In as much as I wouldn't want to take side, I think what we need to actually bring solution to this menace is justice. It's quite shocking to see Israel didn't bother to ask for the return of the kidnapped people but they just dropped huge bombs on Palestine. Sure their missiles also killed the non-Hamas men. Normally, a negotiator will first respond but they went ahead launching missiles. It sends a message that this is an eye for an eye which makes the whole world blind.  

But this war didnot start last Saturday morning when Hamas attacked, this war started a long time ago with a conflict. Just like the conflict between Iran and Saudi that started a thousand years ago but just recently made a peace deal.

I believe and agree that this should be the message. We don't have to pick sides. If the whole world condemned the fighting from the beginning and pushed for more peaceful ways, maybe it wouldn't have escalated to this level.
Even right now, I know neither Palestine nor Israel would just automatically decide to stop fighting but that should be the message the whole world puts out. We don't have to pick sides and fuel the crisis further. We should advocate for more diplomatic ways.

Why do we have to fight for our God(s)?
Doesn't it sound dumb when people are fighting for their God? If a God is truly supreme or wants to be supreme, how's me killing humans making him supreme? Why can't he fight his battles himself? He or they should fight against the other gods.

If you serve a god that you say is supreme and he asked you to kill everybody not following him then that god is not worth following because he made those people and he should have known that they won't follow him so why create them?

Russia vs Ukraine goes way back in history, the Russians claim it's their land due to "history", it's up to you if you don't want to compare the two conflicts but they are the same, you have two sovereign states (Ukraine and Palestine) and two invaders (Russia and Israel) the main difference is that Russia invaded Crimea in 2014 while Israel Invaded Palestine in 1948 and they keep expanding the invasion day by day with the support of your tax money.

So how is it okay for Ukraine to defend itself but it's not for Palestine? you need a truck full of hypocrisy to swallow that contradiction.

There is no such thing as build on hate, you need reasons to hate, seeing someone invade your country, take your land, kill your people, will automatically make you hate them, this is how life works, good luck convincing the Ukriain future generation who are yet to be born not to hate Russia.

What is your definition of "terrorists" is it the killing of children? Israel has killed far more children, is it the number of buildings destroyed? Israel destroyed an order of magnitude more buildings than Hamas, so how can you call Hamas terrorists and not the Israeli army? you are comparing an invader to someone who is protecting their country, if you can't be fair and call things as they are you should at least not be a hypocrite, the least you could do is call both of them terrorists.

It is a city that is under blockade, is the world's most populous city per square meter, cannot meet its needs such as electricity, water and food, and is under bombs. Every child born here is a natural warrior. Unless Israel gives up this attitude, peace will never come. The establishment of a free Palestinian state is essential for peace.
