As someone new in the forum who is not too experienced and is working on getting things right, I felt it's necessary to choose a particular thing, master it, and then work on making improvements in other areas.

This has led me to research how to make a quality post, make a good reply to people's posts, and also learn how to quote a general post as well as a particular sentence in a post.

This thread aims to share my personal experience and a few observations about my little knowledge so far.

The steps I observe will work well in making a good post will follow this pattern

1. The first thing is to decide/research on the subject you want to write on : it is very important to know what you want to write about and also analyze to know if the purpose is to educate or seek answers to doubt bothering you. After which you do your research to get facts and also check if a similar thing has been posted on the forum.
2. get some writing aid : even if you have the best idea, if you don't write it out the right way using the right punctuation Mark as well as the right word in the right place, your post might not be understood. The Grammarly app helps a lot with the correction of typo errors.
3. Create a good title :  there are posts I have seen with great titles that even if I don't feel like reading anything at that moment, I just have to check the content of the post because of how inviting the topic is.
4. Start your writing very well: try not to bore your readers down with lengthy post that has little information/message. Try your best to catch the attention of your readers within the first two lines of your post so your reader gets a clue about what you are writing and do not get bored while reading through your content
5. If you are replying, know when to reply, when to do a full quote, and when to quote a selected portion of a text you are replying to.This might help out. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5346341.msg57335807#msg57335807
6. Always preview your typed work before posting
7. most importantly, be real: be yourself, enjoy the critics, make the mistakes, and don't be afraid to learn something new from every post and comment you make.
Even when your post doesn't get recognized that much don't let it discourage you, learn your lesson and come back better.

I am quite impressed to see how much you have learned in the past few months, as I can see you registered in August and the time period, of course, is not that much, I really like your love and devotion to the forum, I even checked your past posts and they were all very useful, I appreciate your efforts and you really are doing great work. Well, coming back to the topic.

I can not agree more with all of your points, because these are the basics and we all should be aware of it, whether we are a newbie or not, because what happens here is when a person becomes a full member or above he starts to ignore some points like not taking care of the pronunciation or using bashing words for the coming newbies.

I don't like that.

And the point of when to quote and how much to quote is something new to me, because I mostly quote when I have to talk about some specific thing in the post, but mostly I use this technique which I just use. --> which is to write some of the words of your posts to get your attention to those words only (which I have italicized).

Here is another source from 1miau about how one can improve their post quality. For local board and global board also (I guess).
All newbies should read this, in order to be a quality poster and to improve their writtings.

The steps you observed before making a post are the right ones to do.
I want to add one more point, namely use the search section to find topics or threads that match what you want so that the same discussion doesn't happen.

No need to create a new topic if a topic with the same purpose already exists. Just reactivate the discussion.
I don't think it is bad to make another topic out of it, because even if the topic has been shared by many other members by different titles and contexts but every time each member comes up with a different and unique thing and to be honest, I don't think it is easy for a newbie to keep track of all the past topic created on the same topic.

And why a warning is given on a topic to which there are not one has replied for the past 120 days? I mean that's an open indicator for those, to not post something in them but creating another topic on the same thing with different post content is okay. Don't you think, Just a curious thought, not implying anything?

Here is another source from 1miau about how one can improve their post quality. For local board and global board also (I guess).
All newbies should read this, in order to be a quality poster and to improve their writtings.
...
Thanks for adding this useful source, it will be helpful for those who were not aware of such rules like me. Are we sharing the threads here that would help others, as the OP wrote the title in a way that "My little drop" like he is contributing from his side? Well, whatever, I will also add useful threads that I have kept track of. These threads will help all of the newbies and ranked members of this forum.

To be honest, at the start for a newbie, things are difficult here, especially for those who are non-technical and have no IT mindset because they will be stuck in the HTML tags used to write in the text field.

I want to commend your effort in putting these few tips for newbies to improve their posts. Almost everything you have highlighted is valid but you don't need to write a perfect post to get the right response. It is good to write a post that is free from errors but the most important thing to consider is how helpful the post will be to the community. Many people are not native English speaker which means their grammar might not perfect. But if they have a good idea and their post contribute positively to the community it will be accepted. For me the most important factor is the relevance of the post, then the ability to write simply and understandably is my next consideration.

The steps you observed before making a post are the right ones to do.
I want to add one more point, namely use the search section to find topics or threads that match what you want so that the same discussion doesn't happen.

No need to create a new topic if a topic with the same purpose already exists. Just reactivate the discussion.
The bitcoin space is changing because there are discoveries and developments. Old threads can serve as an inspiration for the creation of new ones. But coming up with threads that have been over-researched or over-discussed so many times in the forum should be discouraged.

In addition make a good use of the tools and options available in the create message page.  Like for example, the use of list is essential when we are making lists of advises.  A simple command of
Code:
Can be a normal list format
[list]
[li]text[/li]
[/list]

The steps I observe will work well in making a good post will follow this pattern
  • The first thing is to decide/research on the subject you want to write on : it is very important to know what you want to write about and also analyze to know if the purpose is to educate or seek answers to doubt bothering you. After which you do your research to get facts and also check if a similar thing has been posted on the forum.
  • get some writing aid : even if you have the best idea, if you don't write it out the right way using the right punctuation Mark as well as the right word in the right place, your post might not be understood. The Grammarly app helps a lot with the correction of typo errors.
  • Create a good title :  there are posts I have seen with great titles that even if I don't feel like reading anything at that moment, I just have to check the content of the post because of how inviting the topic is.

Try your best to catch the attention of your readers within the first two lines of your post so your reader gets a clue about what you are writing and do not get bored while reading through your content

  • most importantly, be real: be yourself, enjoy the critics, make the mistakes, and don't be afraid to learn something new from every post and comment you make.

Even when your post doesn't get recognized that much don't let it discourage you, learn your lesson and come back better.

can make a difference on how we present our posts.  Just for example, at @OP's post, numbering is not bad but it can get even look nicer if the code stated is used since the lists will get emphasized due to indention.  as stated on the example.

This has led me to research how to make a quality post, make a good reply to people's posts
To make quality posts, you must write less. Don't write if you don't have excellent knowledge to share or join a discussion to help OP of that thread to solve his problems.

Read more and post less or even don't post if you self-feel that your post is not helpful.

Quote
and also learn how to quote a general post as well as a particular sentence in a post.
Quoting is part of process when you answer other members in Bitcointalk and it is good if you don't quotes many posts in a pyramid scheme. It is a style of shitposters who don't care to quote succinctly.

What's the purpose of this thread?

Is every user in this forum must create a new thread or make a reply? where's the rule about this?

Is every user don't know what's search engine or how to type?

Is there any rule we must create a post without grammatical error and speak like a native?

Is there any rule we must click preview before posting?

It's a must we have to create a good title for clickbait in order to make people interested?

Well, although I thought a little bit the same when I started reading the OP, there is no need to be rude either.

It is true that these are not the rules to follow each and every time we post (as long as we are polite, don't copy-paste and our comment is on-topic, it should be enough). But it is good to remember all those things when we start a new thread, and the guy made the effort to share them in a proper way, so maybe you don't like them, but I wouldn't call them stupid.

Newbies need to do a lot of research to make quality posts. If something is said for the purpose of newbies, then I should write a little detail in my mind. But according to the rules, to make a quality post, the main thing should be written in very few characters. One of the things I have noticed since I joined the forum is that despite the arrival of new users on this board, very few members are well versed. Finally, those who gain knowledge will make the future better.

Nobody dictates what someone should do. But forums have rules, and everyone who joins and wants to interact must follow them.

This is a forum where everyone expresses their thoughts. And @OP only shares what he has gained from this forum.

Your emphasis on researching topics, using writing aids like Grammarly, and creating engaging titles is spot on. Catching the reader's attention early on is key to a successful post. Check out the news insides for more trending business news.

The advice on replying effectively and quoting appropriately is essential for meaningful discussions. Learning from every interaction is a valuable mindset. Remember, it's a learning process, and every post is an opportunity to improve and connect with the community. Keep up the good work!v
