you are a newbie. you should use the escrow service offered by a trusted member from the collectibles section otherwise no one will take the risk.

Will do!  Thanks!

Thanks so much, that would be great!

easiest way is to send me the coins - I can list them for sale or as an auction - when the buyer pays, I send them the coins and send you the funds.

second method would involve you keeping possession and buyer paying me to hold the funds - when they confirm receipt, I would release the funds to you.

the issue here is if the buyer has bad motives and states the coins never arrive.

this is why sending them to the escrow helps to eliminate that.

If interested - just shoot me a dm.

Well... it looks like the guy who minted these coins (defcon23 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=98372) has been involved in what appears to be suspicious or very odd minting and/or misrepresentation of "Bitcoin Bullion Bars"

He hasn't been active on the forum since 2017 either.

Here's the thread about the "Bitcoin Bullion Bars" -

Here's an article I published on my site back in December 2016 when he sent me the coins (picture included):

Defcon23 gifted me the coins in 2016 because I was doing a book giveaway at the time on the Bitcoin.com Forum.

I'm a mod over there (nandibear - https://forum.bitcoin.com/nandibear-u4151/) , although nowadays (for a while now) they (whoever really runs Bitcoin.com now) have made it impossible to post, they claim it's broken and cannot be fixed.

Here's the book giveaway thread:

Defcon was the worst dude. He was a French guy, but was a total asshole drunk who got kicked/booted out of the original slack collectibles channel back in 2018 for some kinda weird ass shit he pulled I can't quite recall, but yeah, he was basically exiled away after that and thankfully has not returned. I think he may have used some alts here and there too back then to bid up his own auctions, but his way of typing/writing style was pretty easy to spot, maybe he did not know about google translate lol IDK. Tongue

Anyhow, I always call these the "Oatmeal Coins" since I cannot say the weird pronunciation he gave them hahaha! Cheesy

Thanks for the funny memories, I had forgotten all about Defcon till this post! Cheesy

Very interesting to look at the old thread on the bars. Were these items actually made and shipped? Does anyone own one, have a picture?

Beware of scammers. I will never discuss the sale of Collectibles on Telegram or any other messaging client outside the forum.

Congrats on the quick sale!
The Ometeotl coins are pretty unique. I got a 4-coin set of these but haven't seen them pop up on the forum in recent years.
