You are absolutely right, it's already been established that gambling is not a dependable source of income, in fact, gambling is not a source of income at all, so gamblers are always advised to gamble for fun and not expect anything in return, so they don't feel entitled to anything and probably feel very bad after losing money they were expecting to make some good profit from.

I had decent luck over the years and made some money here and there. Especially in some poker games I hit a few very low expectations hands which helped me go build my bankroll over time. Unfortunately I never managed to win any big jackpot, so in terms of profitability I wasn't so lucky. Reminding myself of the rare chances to win jackpots, I can't rely feel bad. We never know when it's going to happen and if we are not playing our chance is already 0%. What I do know is that even if I would win a big jackpot tonight, I wouldn't stop gambling. I don't really see a reason to stop, because it's entertainment and I have been doing it for many years. Overall I don't think I would change my lifestyle much after a big win, I would be eating the same food, wear the same clothes and keep gambling. The only thing I would try to focus on is to keep gambling in smaller amounts like I am doing now. Just because I have more money doesn't mean that I have to gamble with higher stakes.

Well for me I can say that yes, I can quit gambling after I win the jackpot. What matters is that our expectations out of gambling are achievable, in my case I like to play poker, which requires the complete opposite of shutting down your brain and instead it requires that you think about every single movement that you make at the poker table.

Unfortunately, I have never been lucky enough to win a jackpot or thousands of times the amount I gambled. In addition, in cases where I generally made profits between 10 and 100 times, I achieved such winnings when my balance was close to zero and for this reason I could never earn more than a few times the balance I attributed to gambling.
