I was browsing through the local Indian board and noticed many topics there are in English. It got me thinking - maybe we could do the same thing in our community and see how everyone responds to it. I understand that not all of us are fluent in Tagalog, as we have users from different provinces and various dialects, given that we live in a large country, right? So, I find it easier to respond and create topics in English. Since Filipinos are generally proficient in English, why not allow it in our conversations here?

There are numerous benefits to this idea. For one, we can already practice and improve our writing skills, which is something that some users value. So, what are your thoughts on this? I'd love to hear your opinions. If any of the mods have the time to reply to this, it would be great to read their thoughts on how this change could help our community grow and improve at the same time.

Yes, I think we can all create a English thread here locally, and I don't see any problem with that, majority of us can understand and speak English fluently as it is our second language.

However, I still prefer Tagalog though, I mean this is why we have our local boards and as least we can understand and express our thoughts as native Tagalog speaker.

There's no problem creating threads in our local using the English language mate.

It doesn't matter basta maintindihan yung point. Di ako ganun ka fluent both English and Tagalog kaya pa mekus-mekus lang ako dito mga insan.

It seems like our local community isn't as active as some others. I waited for a reply, and it took 3 days to get one. But it's not a big deal; I just feel a little envious of other communities where they have more active discussions. I've also noticed that they receive a lot of merits in their local. Do we still have a merit source in our local community?

Thanks for your replies, guys. I'll create some topics in English that could interest our kabayan here, as I can express myself better in English compared to Tagalog. I appreciate the positive responses, and it's good to hear that there are no rules to be broken.

As long as na iintindihan naman ang content or the message itself sa mga ginagawa nilang thread is walang problem dun actually pwede nga tayong mag taglish dito if mas mainam sya gawin kasi mas ma dedeliver talaga maigi ung message na ginagawa nila eh.

Nag push na din maging merit source si crwth but currently wala pang update with this.
