Thank you again for your insights,
I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Trezor-bitcoin-wallet-Black/dp/B00R6MKDDE/ref=sr_1_17?crid=2T90EZKP72YWZ&keywords=passport%2Bwallet%2Bcrypto&qid=1697642770&sprefix=passport%2Bwallet%2Bcrypto%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-17&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.b06bdbbe-20fd-4ebc-88cf-fa04f1ca0da8&th=1
Or should I use other sources?
I was told that after I download Electrum to "test" it, however I do not know how to do that. Any advice? I already downloaded the Windows installer from the suggested website ...
Thank you, and have a great day

The Trezor model one you link here is a bit pricey why not buy directly on Trezor which is cheaper?
Check the link below
- https://trezor.io/compare

About testing it and how to connect it with Electrum you can follow the guide below.

Or I think better wait for black friday this next month for promos and discounts I'm sure you can buy it cheaper than the current price today.

Check the link below

Not to mention that it is much safer to purchase a Trezor hardware wallet from the Trezor website itself rather than the likes of Amazon/eBay, as to prevent purchasing a device that's potentially tampered-with. Heck, even if it's like $50 more expensive on the official website, it's still worth the peace of mind!

Hi,
I will be a new miner soon and as I am documenting myself, I did not find anything about what wallet would be best to use, or where I could find wallets to use, OK?

To see a list of wallets that you want to use.
1. https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=1
2. 17 Software Wallets
3. 46 Hardware Wallets

I have accounts at cripto.com, and shakepay, and they have their wallets, so should I use those, or are there other alternatives.

Don't use the wallet I underlined and any type of wallet that is not clear even though I don't know about the wallet you are referring to. A good wallet choice that you can use is a wallet that you can control the seed phrase yourself without any gaps for the dev in the series of seed phrase words generated from the wallet.

Electrum is my answer to software wallets and also uses hardware wallets.

Hi, and thank you for your response and the information in this post.
I looked at the website with the hardware wallets, and I found interesting (functionnality & where it is coming from) 3 of them:
- the Trezor safe 3
- the SecuX W20
- the D'cent biometric wallet
For all of them it is indicated that are available on Amazon, so does that mean that Amazon is a certified reseller? Or should I still purchase one of them from the manufacturer's website?
They have different parameters with which I do not quite know what to do, so which one do you think would be a good fit for me as a noob?
Regarding Electrum, I already downloaded the installer, verified it OK, and installed it. Now I need a decent pool, and I think I found one at ViaBTC, so I can configure my miner when it arrives. I hope soon.
Thank you

Yes, but it is always recommended to buy your hardware wallet from the manufacturer or official website, so go for the most recommended option.
They have different parameters with which I do not quite know what to do, so which one do you think would be a good fit for me as a noob?
There are more recommended hardware wallets like Passport, Coldcard and others
Now I need a decent pool, and I think I found one at ViaBTC, so I can configure my miner when it arrives. I hope soon.
Thank you
Be careful of mining pools that impose compulsory kyc on miners, like Antpool and some others.

Thank you very much for the advice.
I will try to buy the wallet from its manufacturer, and I will try to find the ones that you suggested. So from the 3 I told you about none are OK for me?
Also, regarding the pool, I think I will use the ViaBTC pool, is it OK?
Thank you

I'm surprised that your answer was "yes"! Those who sell Trezor devices on Amazon aren't necessarily authorized resellers and the fact that they are selling them for cheaper prices is a big red flag. Better avoid dealing with them and buy directly from the official website or from one of the authorized resellers.
Here is the list of authorized resellers according to Trezor website:
https://trezor.io/resellers
Better be safe than sorry!

Amazon is one place to buy among several other places to buy available. Incidentally, in the table listing thebitcoinhole.com, the owner of the website includes Amazon as a place to buy and in my opinion the inclusion of Amazon is only to show the price of the product, not a recommendation.

Each country has different resellers and it is best to buy from official Trezor resellers or other hardware companies. As for Trezor, they also have an official reseller https://trezor.io/resellers.
As I come from Indonesia, on the website https://trezor.io/resellers there is a good place for me to buy products from Trezor called N Crypt as authorized resellers.

I learned this from my local senior who is very experienced in this field.

So, I think buying products from official resellers is safer and highly recommended.

I will return to a basic question. You mentioned that you want to mine Bitcoin, but based on the subsequent replies that you received, your knowledge of Bitcoin is limited. Did you buy mining devices, or is it a type of cloud mining, or those sites that ask you to invest in mining farms and get the profits for your wallet?
If it is cloud mining or any form of mining without purchasing hardware, you will most likely be exposed to scam. If you are thinking about purchasing hardware, I advise you to learn more beforehand.

The price on Amazon.ca is in CAD, whereas the prices on the trezor site are in USD, hence the difference.
On Amazon.ca it is actually cheaper than on the Trezor site. 69USD on Trezor site = 109CAD with the today course, OK?

Thank you

It is true that the difference is several dollars, but the risks are greater, especially since its components may be compromised.

I don't think OP is going to invest in (scam) cloud mining services. He/she referred to ViaBTC which is a mining pool and has probably purchased a mining machine. (Click here to read the post.)

Edit:
According to another topic made by OP, it seems that OP is going to buy an Antminer S19.
Antminer S19 95TH setup

Thank you all for the useful information,
Yes I am a noob in what regards BTC and mining, and yes, I purchased an Antminer S19 90TH/s and I just got it yesterday.
So I am thinking that this weekend I will be configuring it and start mining, therefore I was documenting myself first from the more knowledgeable ones from this forum about what my options are regarding setting up the machine, pools and wallets.
I found the ViaBTC pool, and I already created an account as a pool, however I am looking into other pools as well.
I found Electrum as warm wallet and I configured it successfully, and I was thinking to buy at a later date a SecuX W20 hard wallet, however here too I am looking at other options.
First I have to make sure that the miner has a proper 220V line, and I already have one using some cables I found on Amazon at the suggestions of philipma1957, however I would consult also an electrician to see how much would cost a 220V line, so I am looking at options here as well.
Thank you

Thank you again for your insights,
I found this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Trezor-bitcoin-wallet-Black/dp/B00R6MKDDE/ref=sr_1_17?crid=2T90EZKP72YWZ&keywords=passport%2Bwallet%2Bcrypto&qid=1697642770&sprefix=passport%2Bwallet%2Bcrypto%2Caps%2C79&sr=8-17&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.b06bdbbe-20fd-4ebc-88cf-fa04f1ca0da8&th=1
Or should I use other sources?
I was told that after I download Electrum to "test" it, however I do not know how to do that. Any advice? I already downloaded the Windows installer from the suggested website ...
Thank you, and have a great day

The Trezor model one you link here is a bit pricey why not buy directly on Trezor which is cheaper?
Check the link below
- https://trezor.io/compare

About testing it and how to connect it with Electrum you can follow the guide below.

Or I think better wait for black friday this next month for promos and discounts I'm sure you can buy it cheaper than the current price today.
The price on Amazon.ca is in CAD, whereas the prices on the trezor site are in USD, hence the difference.
On Amazon.ca it is actually cheaper than on the Trezor site. 69USD on Trezor site = 109CAD with the today course, OK?

Thank you

yeah amazon ca has them from trezor direct.

White model

buy 1 black and 1 white. carefully  examine  the seals on one of the units.

open 1 of them.  get your 24 word seed copy that and place it in an envelope with the used trezor.

if your working trezor is broken you can use the saved seed on the new trezor.

I have 4 trezors white black gray and the newer model which is still sealed

Thank you very much for your response,
What do you think of the SecuX W20? I have a positive feeling about this one ... Trezor somehow was OK as feeling, but the SecuX feels betters somehow: https://shop.secuxtech.com/products/secux-w20-hardware-wallet?aff=70

Trezor has a good reputation I simply am not sure about secuxtech

I figure go with one that a lot of people have been using successfully

SecuX has a good appearance compared to Trezor Wallet but the only problem is it does not have open-source so we can't guarantee that SecuX Wallet is safe.

I searched a bit and it seems they don't have an HWI interface that is used to connect to software wallets like Electrum meaning that this hardware wallet does not support 3rd party wallets like Electrum and you can only manage your assets on their server which makes me think that they do have full control of your wallet so it is not safe to use.
Better stick with Trezor if you don't want your wallet being controlled by someone else.

Got it. Thank you.
I think I will wait till the safe3 appears, and I will purchase one. I will see if I will take it from Amazon or from the manufacturer's website.
