Meme coins have gained popularity and are trendy because they often have catchy names (Shiba Inu, SafeMoon, etc), logos (Dogecoin, CumRocket), and they are promoted through memes and social media. Also, the potential for quick profits attracts investors regardless of the fact that meme coins can be highly speculative and volatile. The easyness of joining and trading meme coins have also fueled their popularity.

Make sure that you don’t randomly jump into meme coins or FOMO in. There are meme coins that will do really well but then, always do thorough research before getting involved with any cryptocurrency at all.

The question many people ask is why every token or meme coin that Elon tweets must be hive. even though in fact it is not certain that Elon will invest in the project, it could happen that the dev of the token makes an agreement with Elon to tweet the token.

If it's always like that then we are ready to be destroyed by indulging in FOMO without doing thorough research. because it is clearly a ponzi scheme, people are competing to get in early, it seems like gambling on a global scale.

This is not a new thing. Influencers get paid to do it on a daily basis; advertising and representing products that they have never used before. It's no different from what Elon does, not that he doesn't put his money into it, but advertising something doesn't have to mean that the influencer uses it. But then, even if some people know this, they still end up getting that product not because they think you use these products but because they trust your judgment. I also do not believe in any way that Elon comes to an agreement with the devs to make these tweets. He tweets these things on his own and sometimes even for fun.

  Op, what do you mean meme coins are trending where? for good or bad? Because most of the communities here on the Bitcointalk forum do not recognize meme coins well, especially among other communities that have been here for a long time on this platform.

  But I have seen and noticed many communities in this forum that were embarrassed by what they said about meme coins. Just like what happened with Pepe coin, when it was just starting, there were too many people who said that it's just a shit coin, that it's a dangerous coin when you invest, words that discouraged you not to buy. Reminders that, for them, are just friendly advice, and there are other reminders that are sarcastic.

meme coin definitely have zero correlation with the bullrun, its not a sign that bullrun will come also frequently these meme coin just have pump out of nowhere even in the middle of bearish market.
its honestly just speculation tool in which being used for the sake of generating profit at short time. even though there definitely some other factors such as the manipulation that quite literally make many people prevent from speculating in such coins but overall its just a speculation tool nothing more.
even the fact that it sometime get hyped quite literally out of nowhere already explains that there might be some whales behind every meme coin though that just some opinions.

Don't choose memecoins that only appear when the hype arrives and will eventually disappear and be worthless.

Aren't all altcoins apart from DOGE are same? Almost all of them appear only when they are being hyped up by the community and they disappear as soon as their hype or trend gets over, maybe not all of them become worthless but at least they disappear from the top lists or gainers, they might appear among losers from time to time. So, I don't really think that any meme coin is different from the others but they all have the same characteristics.

Besides, meme coins mostly are only profitable when they are bought at the initial stages because most of the time, they tend to just stay low or down once the hype is over and the ones holding their tokens after that will barely be able to get anything out of them for years and will have their money stuck or incur losses if they sell them lower.
