[Warning]: Fake Emergency aid to Gaza website

As I have said in my previous post here, Malicious Red Alert apps, now scammers are using the war between the Israel and Hamas to create fake websites asking for humanitarian aid in Gaza. And it was reported that there are fake sites already mimicking the real one like this fake Twitter account:

It was just recently created, but according to their fake twitter account, they have existed since 2011.

So far, those addresses just have minimal value to none. But who knows, maybe there are gullible individuals who are going to support and then deposit some of their hard earn crypto and think that they are doing a good value. So this is a warning.

This also remind me of the Russia-Ukraine war where scamners created several fake donation avenues. Some even launched cryptocurrency token whereby anyone who buys into the ICO will be supporting the people of Ukraine. A lot of people actually fell for them before they realized it was all scam.

In a war situation, many things happens.  To some people, it is all about making money... they see war as opportunity to cash out big time. Don't even be surprised that even among the higher ranks of both sides, the war is just business and the victims are mere necessary sacrifice for a good business.

We just have to be careful so we don't fall for the emotional blackmail of scamners.

Damn these people, taking advantage while the real affected ones suffers. I remember that whenever there's always this type of incident, there's always the scammers trying to fetch some money from the sentiment of people.

These scammers don't pick their moments; in times of global chaos, they seem to thrive even more. I'd go so far as to say they're worse than the people we condemn for taking lives, at least if we look at history. The latter often have some cause they're fighting for, but scammers are just exploiting the situation.

The OP's effort is a great way to raise awareness in the community. I'm pretty sure that those who aren't newcomers to the market have seen these kind of scams many times before and won't fall victim to them. Gaza is practically under siege, I don't know what this donation could buy for these victims now. What the people need now cannot be bought with money. Firstly the bombing needs to stop and there should be freedom of movement products. I don't think any goods can be smuggled in to Gaza. Maybe the funds would be used after the total blockage is over.

This is unacceptable for anyone who has some sense of morality. When the Russia, Ukraine war strted they tried to cash it by doing the same thing in the name of aid for the Ukranian people. Now, they have again come back in the same manner for Palestinian stuck in Gaza.

Some users of X.com might have already sent some payments to those wallet addresses. Everyone should be careful before donating for any cause as not always your donations would reach the right destination some go into the pockets of scammers like the one reported by OP.

It is unfortunate that scammers are using this war to perpetrate their nefarious act. This should not be an avenue to do such a thing as people are going through lots now in Palestine. The Palestinians needs aid and support as they have been displaced from their various houses without shelter and food. If these scammers begin to scam donators who are willing to donate to the internally displaced persons at  Palestine and they find out others who are willing to donate would hold back their funds for the fear of being scammed as the funds would not get to the people who needs it.

I like the fact that you have exposed them and their fake website so that people would be aware. Is there anyway you can make it go viral so that it would be in popular circulation that the world would see it and avoid sending any dime to that wallet address. I believe members here already seen it and would do the necessary to make sure these scammers do not have their ways.

During the Russia/Ukraine war, there were fake donation platforms flying around on social media and now scammers are at it again, using the Gaza crisis to exploit people. Scammers are heartless and all they think about are their stomach. Some persons have sold their humanity and they can use anything to perpetrate their evil acts.

This reminds me of a story of a young dude who was chatting online with a fellow man who disguised as a lady and he was tricked into releasing his nudes. The scammer demanded for a ransom and kept threatening the little boy to pay up or he's going to post the nudes online. The lil fella couldn't bear it anymore and he committed suicide. After his death, the parents came across the chat and with the help of the security operatives, the scammer was caught and he's languishing in jail.

The scammers never care about humanity they only care about themselves by scamming the victims of donations by saying humanitarian donations this is no longer strange but with warnings like this it clearly tells us all about scams under the guise of helping gaza, the same thing when Ukraine and Russia are at war there are many fake sites by asking for donations and spreading on social media.

I don't really believe in that karma of a thing... to me it's just a suiting word for the oppressed. I have seen even bad people prosper while good people die.  Those who start wars as business are live far from the war zones with their families while innocent people face annihilation.  In some countries, big thieves and criminals are celebrated because they throw money around while small thieves are punished and burnt alive sometimes. So, it makes me wonder what karma really is and if it is selective.

But this is the worst of the worst. Using Palestinians suffering to fuel their own illegal activity There are other kinds of scams, but this is the lowest. There are people who always wants to take advantage of situations when the time avail itself. They are everywhere not only here. We have heard about scam activities by fraudsters who took advantage of situations just like Russia/Ukraine war to scam people globally.

A fund raising event is ongoing but the truth remains that most people for the fear of being scammed do not really give in to the fund raiser anymore because they just feel instead being scammed, let them keep their money to themselves.
