Chasing loss in gambling is not really good because at the end you might loss everything you have. And that is the mindset of many gamblers. I can remember very well that when I started gambling, I do not have control over my somehow addiction gambling. I noticed that if I lost small amount of money and I continue to gamble, I will lose all. Not that I will continue to lose. I will continue to win and lose randomly but after several games played and gambled, the loss will surpass the profit and before I know, all my money would have been exhausted. I bet op may not know what martingale is at the time he was struggling with those bets, he was not considering any strategy rather he was all focus to get back lost fund and nothing of martingale came to his mind. He was purely losing his money and regretting his initial action to play but martingale is intentionally used whether losing or gaining. It is all lucky for him that he got back his losses otherwise he would have totally had a negative experience he won't be able to forget easily.

Actually, I didn’t less in the end but rather bag a small profit after consistent huge win in the end when I deposited 1800. But I agree that my deposit amount is completely wrong because I increased my risk on losing much larger amount just to chase small amount. Glad that the end result turn fine on my side.

I think this experience is related to the same experience i had in 2022 world cup when i withdrew money from my business, added to all of my personally money and bet $3000 on just one game for the first time in my life, i Knew i can't afford to lose this money but i still went ahead to risk it because i was just too sure and convinced that i would win the bet. Unfortunately, in the end, the game was lost and i woke up in the hospital the next day. I think this has been mentioned in different threads that chasing your losses is not really a good idea.
Based on my experiences, the more we are desperate to get back our loss, the more it's risky for us because most of the time, it only results to a negative outcome. And I think this is because of different factors. For instance, when you are chasing your loss, there is a huge tendency that your emotions will take over, and this is something that us gamblers, wanted to avoid. Because the only thing that's on your mind is to get back your losses, and you tend to forget other things like the budget you only set for your gambling activity. I’m not a regular gambler nor an addicted gambler but I recently experienced a terrible chasing loss that start with small amount. I’m on a day off on my job right now due to my minor flu. Super lucky as in. I was about to lose a hard earned bonus money from my salary that patiently work for a year. This kind of mistake is due to my cockiness on gambling while I have a lot of bankroll available.

Quite ironic OP is opening a thread about how no one is supposed to chase losses because how risky it is and yet he does it by providing and example of how he managed to chase his losses and pull off a net win.
If anything, this thread and this story will likely only encourage people who lost money to further deposit and chase their losses as OP did, in hopes of getting a similar result.

To anyone who believes this is a story of success, be aware OP could have easily lost all his bankroll to the casino and become one of the sad stories of people chasing losses and never getting them back again. Some got discouraged by the loss and left gambling.  I believe the effect of losing on their first try have a different result.  Others will stop for a while then play again to try if they can win while others stop and never revisit the gambling platform again since they can't bear the losses.
