I guess Ethereum and Binance are very good in long hodling because, since I became regular in the crypto market, I discovered that this two altcoins carry huge population to stand in second and third position in the market that is giving me hope that they are good in long term hodling and, it will be difficult for their customers to experience negative results like what other customers are experiencing from new altcoins in the market. Those two are some of the best altcoins we have on the market, so it makes sense that people like you would like to hold them for the long term, however you still need to be careful with those coins as they could still disappear incredibly quickly under the wrong circumstances, and one example of this is the FTX exchange which seemed to be very strong and suddenly it collapsed and it brought the whole market down, including its native token, and while unlikely it is not impossible this could happen to the binance exchange, and anyone holding its tokens for the long term could lose all the capital they invested in those coins.

Majority of the altcoin that are on the top 50 of the coinmarketcap are good for long hold.  Most of them are in the market for many years.  Aside from that, any new promising project are also good for long hold.  If we can find a good project with huge potential, it can possibly give us a life-changing profit if we happen to be one of the pioneer of that promising project.

That said, I think Tron is still good for long hodling together with EOS and possibly CRO.  ADA should also be included on the list IMO.  The developer of these projects are keep on working together with their marketing team to promote and increase the number of their market supporters.

There’s no doubt about ETH and BNB, you should also not forget to look for other coins in the top that is more cheaper and have a high chance as well to pump. I’m actually looking for XRP and LTC to be the game changer with the altcoins, they made a good progress already and in the upcoming bull trend, they will rise as well.

They've always been good holds for the long term if you're going to check the market history of these two coins. Granted it might differ in the future, but they're most likely the more solid options compared to the rest of the coins out there. There are other good altcoins out there as well, albeit a bit less influential I guess if I were to pick a word for it. I'm mostly looking at MATIC, LTC, and maybe XRP as well for a bit of a short term or so. Anyway, I reckon any of the top 10 is a solid pick, just don't expect much profit immediately though.

I am of the same opinion with Polygon and it is because that's also the other chain that is mostly being used these days. The support that it has got is also increasing and I also use it for transactions because it's cheaper and like any other quick transfers, it's quick as well. I think with all of these connections that each project has been doing like to have another support from different chain, that's making each of them known in the market and also helps to ease the fees although they're not truly expensive at all.

ethereum is the answer, even though there's rumour about the dumping of ethereum by ftx since there has been found some related address with ftx holding some amount of ethereum doesn't mean it will just outright make ethereum never pump, its not some significant amount either for ethereum seeing the ethereum trading volume.
right now many alts are already pumping but not ethereum, it could be opportunity since its not really pumping that much and its really far from all time high.
definitely has best chance of recovering compared to the other, not to mention that this coin is the most reliable altcoin out there.
though if you are looking for something that gives faster returns, it might not be the right choice.

Aside from the almighty Bitcoin, I can say that only Ethereum so far is the best altcoin to hold this season and in many years to come.

I do not know about BNB, XRP, ADA, LINK and the other fellow top-tier altcoins in the market. In my own instinct, these altcoins other than ETH are just good for either short or mid-term results.

Why I only root for Ethereum for the long term? It is because they are currently the best in terms of building Dapps on top of their market capitalization, trading volume and usage of the ecosystem despite that their gas fees aren't that cheap even if they have transitioned from Proof-of-Work (PoW) to Proof-of-Stake (PoS).

They are now impossible to be overtaken because of their usage despite that we acknowledge about XRP briefly overtaken them years ago not just once but twice or thrice. As of this moment, Ethereum is already solid at the #2 spot next to Bitcoin.

Take a look at the coin market cap. at least we can see some data that might be useful. Although it's not absolute. However, when it comes to altcoins for the long term, Ethereum will definitely be in first place. because however, when we look at the fundamentals, and of course the market cap, this is no longer in doubt compared to other altcoins. So in my opinion, ETH is the first altcoin that you should own to prepare for long term holding later.

Next up is BNB. I think this coin from the Binance exchange is also quite promising for future bullish preparations. apart from the market cap, perhaps you could say that BNB is still quite affordable if we want to buy some.

actually, I also thought about another altcoin, namely Matic. However, I personally am still testing for long term holding until the next bullish era. So, maybe this will be a little more risky. because after all, this coin is quite interesting and has quite a high market cap, even though compared to several altcoins above it, Matic is still number 13. But this should have quite good potential to rise in the future.

BNB is like FTX in one way or another because it is highly dependent on its platform. It is Binance's native coin. Although it has since grown widely, it still cannot detach itself completely from Binance the exchange. Whatever happens to that exchange, the price of BNB will definitely be affected. Binance is facing investigations and legal cases. If the exchange crushed, BNB will immediately follow.

One of the best altcoins available out there is definitely BNB because it has the capability of keeping its platform always updated and continuously developing it to keep up with its competitors as a matter of fact, they are still one of the top exchanges despite its beep with the SEC due to some legal matters but overall, they are not getting affected by it and once they clear it out, surely BNB will increase its price again just like before and in this bitcoin halving season, it will be best to consider buying some of it before the price will become expensive again.

and if this will last long , there are lots of new coins that have build their name short time and then die also short

to look at least in top 20 currency in market as those has a big potential of staying and safer while you wait for
the right time to sell.

BNB and ETH are the 2 big cryptocurrencies. Both have solid networks and communities. These two altcoins are worthy of being used as alternatives to Bitcoin in my opinion. There may be some other candidates besides BNB and ETH such as LTC, ETC, LINK, SOL. Currently, XRP is actually on my target list, but the SEC is still pursuing XRP, which makes this drama too long and can hold back the increase in the value of XRP in the future.

I agreed. Among the top coins these two are the contenders on altcoins that are kinda safe. Also using ethereum, there are chances to got some airdrop using defi products and protocols. While on bnb they got some launchpad and launchpool on superb projects that are being launch on the exchange.

+1 on this one. Ethereum platform is home to tons of Eth based tokens and NFT's and it is also on the top next to Bitcoin. BNB on the other hand has it's best trading platform with it's smartchain technology it also has the cheapest fee on it's platform. So I think this two really is good for long term hodling.

I already have these 2 coins since early this year , if those are going to climb like what you said then thank you , if not then its ok because price will surely increase in time.
