When gambling suppose to be for fun, I can not bet millions of dollars on a gamble or match because of gambling. Even if I am the richest man on earth, I can not do that, I will use a very small amount of money to continue with the fun rather than a way of looking for money. If I have money, I will use it for business and investment instead of gambling.

Definitely the guy is loaded with tons of money that’s why he can bet. Probably he consider million dollar to be just a dollar that’s why he can bet in confidence with that amount.

I will do the same if I have the same capital and source of profit. The guy is just having some fun on his life by making thrilling bets on his favorite sports team. It looks like a waste of money on other people perspective but he probably enjoying since he has a lot of money which he can afford this kind of entertainment.

I saw a video of someone giving him shit and him stacking "fuck you, fuck you" left and right back at the man.  This guy seems to lose his cool quite a bit.  He seems like an old fart but if you look up his history, he's bet millions upon millions of dollars, both winning and losing TONS of money.

I don't know the guy or familiar with baseball teams but it's clear from the article that he's doing a big time bet. Sometimes this hated teams are the one who are giving good profit if you bet on them and though there are a lot of haters want them to be defeated because of their reasons. Also, he might want to publicize the hate just to increase the possible profits he can get from betting on that team. There might be also a chance that he might be getting insider information like having a plan to get on the tournament.

he is a businessman and has won $75m usd in the last year, losing $7.9 million is nothing to him. he has a business and wealth that can support his gambling and this loss will not stop him, he will continue to gamble and who knows, he could win more than before.

but if asked if i had that much wealth would i want to gamble, maybe yes but not with that much money, maybe with less money. because i thought that this was like a marketing trick to increase my exposure and it could affect my business which could bring me more money. it's like killing 2 birds with 1 stone, where i can gamble and at the same time get exposure from it.

@OP He deals on furniture's, he must be rich to be the owner of a furniture place because furniture's are quite expensive. He lost at least $7.9m to gambling, he would have won more had his team performed as they did the last year, and the story would have been different entirely praising him for winning two years in a row on the same team. He can afford to loose millions, that is why he gambled with it.

He did win millions ($75m) already on this team from the bet he made on them the previous year, so he will not think of the lose so much.

If making millions is no longer a big deal, and I am already used to the lifestyle of making millions, I can risk gambling with a million to make more millions.

Winning that 75 million dollars back in 2022 could have blinded his judgement, and seeing that he doesn't really bet on favourites tells me that he might miss out on a few bets but it just takes one win to recoup his losses and his back in the green.

Also his love for the Houston Astros could be the problem because he better know that lightening doesn't strike on the same spot twice and needs to have some safe bets once in awhile to cut down on his losses...let him not hold on to the past otherwise he sure is a high roller...

About betting in millions? It doesnt matter since its his money then it would really be just that his full rights on whatever he would really be spending.

I agree he has total trust in the one team he is betting on, and why not in 2022 alone he made $75 million when the Altos won the World Series he could have won more if Altos made it into the finals again.
Based on his bet history on the Altos he is a die-hard supporter of the team, this is what happens when you put your total trust in one team, you'll win big and you could lose everything.
Let's see next year if he has full trust in the Altos to bet this huge money again, if you want to make money from sports betting I don't recommend that you will give all your trust in one team.

I never really understood the allure of gigantic bets. If you were to see that amount of money from his perspective, I think you would agree that it is not really impressive, considering how much money he makes/has. I bet that for him, betting millions of dollars is like losing a small chunk of his immense fortune. He has a net worth of $ 300 million. So he lost a bit more than 3% of his money.

People here have bet their entire life's savings. Or money worth years of saving up. If you ask me, that is both more impressive and dumb.

Anyone making a bet of such an amount should be well to do because it is generally known that a gambler should bet with cash they can afford to lose if the odds are not in their favour. So if he had lost it in the contest then there should be nothing to worry about since he can afford to lose such an amount of money on his side. I couldn't bet millions if I had it. I can't face losing that much money so I would never bet millions. I still prefer to bet with small amounts of money because I don't want to lose large amounts of money. And if a very rich person bets a lot of money, that's fine because they've already estimated the risk and can accept it if they lose the bet. He is a rich person and dares to bet a lot of money where perhaps only a few people are as brave as him. But this is not recommended for people who don't have a lot of money, let alone borrowing money to bet.

We wouldn't bet that much because the stakes are too high I think he has a lot of money so after losing that amount it won't affect them. It is not possible for ordinary gamblers to bet with so much money and they will not waste so much money on betting. It may be our lifetime's savings but for them, it is just a loose change that they can play with.

We can't really compare our lives to his. He's a millionaire, which allows him to take the risk of betting millions of dollars. The money he uses for gambling is solely for that purpose, and while we might feel envious, it's his world of high-stakes betting. He's playing with the big cards, and I'm sure he can comfortably handle any losses.

For us, it's a different story. We don't have that kind of money to wager, but we can still experience the thrill of betting by staying within our own betting range.

Yes' losing 10 million might look like a big deal if you take it out of context.
What if I told you that the person who lost that 10million was the king of Saudi Arabia?

at this point,  criticism is no longer necessary thos is so because the did have already been done and at that, and the only thing we can learn from this situation is the lesson as not to go all in on a bet,  no matter who the team or players are,  and we should only gamble with what we can afford to lose and be fine with without a pressure on our mental well being for a long time.

First, we have to acknowledge the fact that gamblers are in different classes and a small amount that gambler A consider as nothing may be a big amount for gambler mr B so we have to accept this fact at all time in between and never get confused by any form of attempts.

As for the classic question, would I make the bet, the amount does not have to represent my fanaticism but rather the ability to do it within of my bankroll, then, as read in some posts above, the guy bet 10% of yours winnings, okay, I mean, in the equivalent, I would bet that % of my bankroll, if it is $100 or $10 million it is already a question of the size of the bet, and obviously sometimes seeing millions for the average mortal can be a lot but these guys live within those limits.
