It is quite normal to have friends who trade and lose money based on the recommendations in Telegram groups or channels because usually the main purpose of these groups and channels is to defraud unconscious investors. I would like to explain how the system works in some channels or groups by giving a brief example of an event I have witnessed before;

First of all, a cryptocurrency with a very low transaction volume is detected by group or channel admins. Admins then cause the price to move upwards with purchases of just a few hundred dollars making it appear as if the cryptocurrency is gaining value. In the next stage, the name of this cryptocurrency is shared with the members of the paid group and as these people purchase it the price increases further. In this way, admins make a profit with the current position. In the last stage, the name of this cryptocurrency is shared with the members of the free group and when these people purchase it the price reaches its peak. In this way, while the admins maximize the profit margin, the members of the paid group earn profits by buying and selling the specified cryptocurrency but the members in the free group are defrauded because they buy from the peak and the transaction volume of the cryptocurrency is almost zero in normal conditions.

In summary, almost 99.5% of the time, such groups or channels generally defraud people who just want to benefit from it for free. For this reason, I definitely don't belong to such channels or groups and when I see any signals like this I don't take them seriously.

First time I am hearing the term Pump group. How exactly does it work? It sounds like it's a big group of people that are trying to push one particular coin higher, but what is the fundamental reasoning behind it? Or is it only to make a quick trading profit in the initial pump? Which would mean that they try to attract more traders to push the price even higher and are willing to take their coins of them when they all sell. I am not so active anymore with trading short term crypto coins as I used to be in the past, which is why I would probably miss out on all the short term pumps. The advice you say is completely logical and not wrong because basically everyone has to rely on their own knowledge regarding anything, including trading. Pump groups can also play bad intentions and roles when they see that one of the participants has more money in it, so it would be wise for anyone not to rely on other people's thoughts in trading except based on their own thoughts on any coin on any exchange. And the loss that befell your friend can also be a good enough example for everyone to no longer trust any pump group.

Nothing and no one in the world will do the job for you as well as you can do it for yourself, especially if there is money involved because you will work as hard as possible to not lose your money and make more money with it while others might not be that much careful since they are not going to lose anything if you lose your money. So, there is nothing wrong with being part of a group, listening to people, and brainstorming with their ideas, but the final decision should always be your own and shouldn't be influenced by someone else's signals or analysis and stuff.

That's why, I always recommend people, especially newbies, to stay away from such things as much as they can because as a newbie, a person wouldn't be able to understand everything from a different point of view and they will think that whatever is being said is right and they will earn a lot of money by following that.

Well, we usually realize that we are wrong when bad things happen to us. Of course, these pump groups will certainly make new members believe that they can manipulate the market price in order to get their trust and spread their experience. But all of those things are just a trick and we know that it never stays long. We have to remember that the market is unpredictable. We love to see the market pump but in saying that because of these pump groups, that is unlikely possible.

Frankly, I have been the victim of such groups already and I have lost enough money on tests and trial periods. That what really creates that kind of question on how the heck they do really consider out on following others recommendation or hints or tips if they could really be able to make their own? There's no point on doing so
considering that each one of us could really make out that kind of analysis on which you would really be able to do such thing without having those help of others. sometime trading signal also giving outright half assed information too where it could mislead people, thats why its always better to be able to analyse by ourselves because if there's misleading information by these signal group then we can know beforehand and not fall to be a victim. but i guess many people won't bother with making their own analysis since just relying on trading group if it could give them profit despite just some small amount they are fine with it considering the fact that it doesn't require them to be doing some complex thing that might make them exhausted but the cost is indeed the capital thats at stake here, the signal giver might be giving misleading information for the sake of creating exit liquidity for them.
