Indeed, Litecoin has often been referred as sleeping giant, in the past it was named as mini-Bitcoin due to its association with being smaller version of Bitcoin. It got popularity as payment method during the 2016-2017 period for its lower transaction fee compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, it could not demonstrate its real potential even during the last bull run in 2021 when it's all time high (ATH)reached to around $412.Its halving event occurred few months back, but it could not make any significant moves and remained around $110. Let's watch and wait how it performs in the next bull run.

LTC has a reputation for unexpected pumps but unfortunately the LTC pumps are rare. LTC seems to be dwindling out of existence slowly but surely. Between being one of the top 20 popular crypto and steadily losing its fans, I think we should see something exciting happen to Litecoin soon. But it used to be top 10 and even top 5 on coinmarketcap before that. So what happened?

I think it lost its appeal since there are much better third gen crypto alternatives that can do everything and more that LTC can do.

And how often do you hear about Litecoin in the news? Not so often, it seems.

Many investors invested in those projects thinking they were superior to bitcoin and would perform better than bitcoin in the long run which didn't happen. Many investors are still hopeful about this project. Of course, it still has the capability to rise during bull season but we can't expect much from it like being too bullish as before. Due to huge market competition, it seems that Litecoin has been out of sight by most newcomers which makes this coin hard to grow at this time and we know that this is a big factor that could help to raise its price. There is a need for the developers and marketing team to work on attracting more users and investors just to change the current momentum and have a bigger chance to grow its demand.

Frankly speaking I don't have any idea on altcoins and the only coin I know is bitcoin and from what I am seeing here diversification of investment will be nice one to go about it. But the problem I will face is how to get the wallet and where to get the litecoin that I will directly send the coins to the wallet. Can some drop the links to get the wallet and also the link to buy it direct to the wallet? I have sent the name or the project before but was not having the interest for it.

I will like to use some of the altcoins to see how good they are in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

How many times it is going to pump? IMHO not that much anymore. If it is going to peak to around $300 then it is not that much anymore. Yeah, Litecoin is known, old and one of the reputed altcoins in the market.

Has there been much development? No. Is the community still active? No. But they are willing to make a move if development occurs. At this point they seem dead, but they can be revived. Because without popularity, there will be not be mainstream adoption and without that its downward vicious cycle.

Yeah, no development anymore and it's just only breathing and continued because of the support and demand from its established community. If Charlie Lee decides to go back on it, yeah.. it's possible that there will be a continuous development.

But as of this age, the trend changes and investors are trying to find something that has the potential and if they do not find the one, they go back to the usual old ones.

The new investors will look for utilities and uses and if they dont find any they will move on and not baghold unlike the existing ones.

Right, they're going to find the better ones that has use case and active development. Although it's amazing to see that litecoin keeps on moving on and I think this is the perk when a project has been established for a long time and at least maintained its composure by its community.

Litecoin can be that one other choice but there is more likely that Bitcoin is always the safest place for most of them all.

True, but I like having some thing of a silver to bitcoin. Ethereum has taken that place but Litecoin is another coin to hope for.

I agree, Litecoin has been said to be the silver of Bitcoin but if we're going to look at its position now. ETH has taken over that spot and has been stable staying there for a long time.

I think it is  pretty much a given that if you invest in litecoin now you can obtain some profits if you hold your coins until the next bull run, the question that is more difficult to answer is if it is the right altcoin to hold compared to the growth we can expect out of other coins?

Just as a point of comparison, ETH is down 61% from its ATH while LTC is down 82%, this tells me there is a higher and faster recovery for a coin like ETH than what I see with LTC, and if that is the case I would expect this trend to continue, so I would prefer to buy ETH over LTC.

Its clear that Litecoin's shine has faded. It used to be a strong contender, sitting in the top 5 on coinmarketcap. Why? There is a lot of competition in the crypto space, and third-generation cryptocurrencies have come on strong with features that make them stand out from what LTC used to stand for.

Keep in mind that Litecoin is still a good coin. Yet, people are leaning toward Bitcoin. When gold is calling, why settle for silver? Even though there may not be many LTC pumps or news stories about them, we need to ask: Doesnt rare lead to a resurgence? People say that time shows everything.

This is one of the currency I first hold back when I was new to cryptocurrency world, though I first bought Bitcoin but since it has good price i keep using mine but Litecoin stays in my wallet ,  but after 2017  when litecoin starts really bad shape ? i let go and convert my coins into Ethereum  and Bitcoin with some small coin and did not come back to Litecoin investment.
saying it is sleeping giant seems promising but expectation always against reality so I would rather put my money in more safer and good coins .

Reasonable and interesting sir, if I may know the first time you bought at what price? is the current condition better than the year you bought litecoin first? you choose the right coin to last long term I think there has grown quite high from ethreum and bitcoin right? unfortunately in the past I only relied on bounties from forums and sold to that coin as a stepping stone, litecoin is very cheap for fees and it is not difficult to find trading pairs also in 2017 it is a kind of ponzi accepting lite coin as a priority between the two coins, this option makes it easy for daily transactions and minimal withdrawals for local exchangers though, if possible I would like to buy litecoin again even if it is only 5$ or regular, and like it is worth it for the insvest long term.

Basically it gains 30% due to its halving and no one know exactly which coin will perform well and will gain much in the bull season. If you grab at this time any of the top 100 coins so you will book a decent profit amount in the next bull season. So not even LTC you should grab more coins as you can. This will give you more profit instead of investing Only in one coin.

Really? Then, this is another proof that halving really works on improving the price of a crypto because there are still people who are in doubt of it. LTC is done but its positive effect might still continue. Lucky for those who bought early but for those who are late, they can still catch up before the price explodes more.

I had booked some decent gains in the LTC before its halving rally but I'm not currently Bullish on it I'd prefer Bitcoin at the current time, still I'm looking for a good time to re-enter the LTC as well we can expect some good return in the coming up market momentum due to the Bitcoins massive moves.

Well t speculate the mentioned gains LTC don't need any expert analysis here we can easily speculate such profits jus from the basic Long term price movement analysis. The figures can even go higher but in recent times my only hope is Bitcoin.

Close with halving last two months ago, Litecoin success raised above 110$ but after halving price dropped drastically and difficult raise above $70 although on bull run season when bitcoin success raising above $35k. I don't know why most difficult raise up to higher price for Litecoin only due several altcoin success reached to higher price when bull run season actually after bitcoin going up to higher price. I have watched with Litecoin price not really good progress, keep going dump and stuck under $70 almost one month, looks need more than one year later to see Litecoin will back above $100 or touch to their all time high above $350.

Hope with magical when closing with bitcoin halving can give positive impact with Litecoin will back to higher price exactly raise up above $300 due its good price for potential altcoin such as Litecoin.

With reference to LTC/USD 4 hour timeframe the coin had been ranging in the past few weeks, an experience trader would have bought at the lowest price level of the range i.e whenever the price reverses to that zone another opportunity would be evolve thus using DCA appropriately an investor must have accumulated much LTC at a very good low price before the sleeping giant wakes up, presently it price has broken out of the range with a likely bullish run from $70 to  $87 the next resistance.

There's specifically no amount that will change my strategy towards altcoins next season, I've learn to always stick to my plans after I got my trading account liquidated, lost few significant figures. Most of these altcoins are overhyped and when it's bull season,  they failed to shoots to the moon when other altcoins are making important moves. Most of these altcoins have remain dormant just as TRONs which is currently used as gas fees for most crypto transactions. Litecoin is classified under altcoin in the space, there are several moves made by this project, though Litecoin is considered to be a promising project, after surviving the heavy bearish season that crumbled most altcoins in the market.

For me, it was not a sleeping giant but that is really how LTC moves, it was not fast nor too slow, yet can still be trusted. However, it never gains too much interest because of its profit return making investors choose other altcoins. Though I see the long-term potential of Bitcoin, we need to be more practical these days as holding for many years with this project seems to be not a good idea either because, on the other side, we miss some opportunities with the other projects.

Litecoin is middle ground for those people, it is something that is riskier than bitcoin, but not some shitcoin that could 10x neither. It is something that is decent and could be very well, it has to be something that we care about at all times.

I think it should be important to note that we are talking about something that could make sense on the long run and because of that we need to invest into something that is more like ETH or BNB or LTC because those are still riskier than BTC if you think about it, but they are still not x10 type of risky shitcoins neither. Litecoin is lower than the other two, so it has a bigger potential, people could see it becoming fourth top coin, after btc and eth and bnb, so they invest.
