So what happens to the FTX exchange that experiences problems like this? I heard that FTX was a big exchange that went bankrupt but I don't know the root of the problem because at the time it happened I wasn't on this forum yet. I was interested in reading the FTX case.
A bit surprising you haven't learned about all the drama with FTX if you're into Bitcoin. I mean, its been all over the news and Reddit threads, and it's still a hot topic because of the ongoing trial. But, even if you don't keep up with the latest industry news, seems weird you'd miss it just hanging around here. I know we all get busy with life and can't read every little thing. But this was a pretty massive deal. Anyway, no judgement if you're just catching up now. But if you wanna understand what happened, there's plenty of explainers out there. Might be worth doing some reading on your own so you don't feel so out of the loop.

This is no different than the approach exchanges and casinos use. It's just a number in their database that keeps changing, and once you make a withdrawal request, that's when they send you the funds.
This seems to be the case because I have been involved in a lot of them. You only see the money in their platform as numbers and never real money. I think most of them set these things up to harvest personal information of people like emails and passwords. There was one that started sending me threat emails months later. They even claim to have video recording of me doing what I don't know anything about just for me to send them Bitcoin to an address attached to the email. So in a few hours the faucet will give us a very small amount of free bitcoins. The question is, is it real bitcoin? or is it just fake bitcoins and when we have met the minimum withdrawal limit, they just send real bitcoins to our withdrawal wallet address?
I think it's fake bitcoin, because on the faucet we only get 0.0000006 while the transaction fees are more expensive than that. So the small amount given by the faucet is fake bitcoin?
It is not fake, but it is just a waste of time. If faucet give you 6 satoshi every hour, that is 0.00000144 BTC in a day, which is $0.0504 in a day if bitcoin is $35000. Can you see that yourself that it is an absolute waste of time. You will have to wait long before you can be able to reach the minimum withdrawal. But some people are patient, have no work, but able to have several accounts with different IPs for just to turn the small amount of bitcoin to something big. As for me, I see it as a waste of time and energy. There were times people got decent quantity of Bitcoin from faucets; I guess those good old days are gone. What we have now is like people looking for traffic and scammers looking for people drain. Just like you said, it is a total waste of time... 5 cents is not even enough to cover the cost of internet and electricity wasted in the faucet. I do not see much difference between faucets and airdrops so anyone getting involved must be prepared for the outcome.

A waste of time for you and some others, but for people who use that faucet practically from the beginning and have referrals and know all the possibilities that faucet offers (in fact, it is much more than a faucet) it is by no means a waste of time. The minimum reward is not 6 sats per hour, but can be even over 100 sats, with the fact that with each roll you get free tickets for the weekly lottery, as well as reward points that you can exchange for satoshis in a 1:1 ratio. Besides, where else do you have a chance to win a Lambo or $200 000 in BTC every few months?

Those claims are a total waste of time for me because the amounts are so low. However, it is a free something and free things sometimes don't give us what we need. I know a person that just depends on those kinds of things and he can wait to achieve just those little things he is expecting to get. Such a person can just sit down the whole day just to get those little things he is hoping to have. For me, I don't think that claiming those airdrops is an important thing. Think about trying to withdraw your claims after a long time you have been claiming those airdrops. That's the moment you will realize that you have wasted all your time doing rubbish.

Maybe I'm too interested in the drama on the forum to rarely participate in discussions on other boards. btw where I live very few people know about bitcoin so I don't really read news about FTX. Maybe even if I stick my bitcoin key on the front door, none of my neighbors will know what it is and my bitcoins will be fine. But I will definitely read the news about FTX and catch up

Latest faucet website still existing is FreeBitcoin.in and here latest current faucet reward claimed very small, I doubt still have existing user are active with Bitcoin faucet because waste their time without worth of reward achievement. Many of faucet supported with one hour claiming and need to spent sixty minute later available for claiming reward and its not easy for user have patience and waiting each one hour for getting reward. Regarding with 24 time for claiming faucet its not worth and I don't think another website faucet have higher payment values than FreeBitcoin.in because can't trusted and will paid for their user. I don't think good ideas joining with faucet link depend their payment reward very small.

It all depends on our patience because to some peeps, they don't think the can wait for a very long time before they can withdraw just small portion of Bitcoin with it own interest. Faucets claiming takes too long to accumulate good amount of Bitcoin. This can take ioto several months for us to accumulate reasonable Bitcoin units that could worth our time. Creating alt accounts in faucet website is not the best since you can get suspended once your IP dress is linked to each other. Those who don't have a job or have the time to wait can always try it out.

In the past, faucets used to give a lot of free bitcoins to a lot of people but today that is no longer the case because the price of bitcoins has become too high. Indeed, if someone wants to earn free bitcoins and going to faucets is actually a waste of time and it would be unrealistic to think that a significant amount of bitcoins can be accumulated from there. Things have changed and we need other ways to collect bitcoins other than faucets. Instead, they should find other ways to collect bitcoins or maybe invest in bitcoins directly.

It's all genuine, why do I call it genuine, because I have already withdrawn the Bitcoins I got from the freebitxxx fauchet. I have known and played this fauchet since 2015, and I have made 4 withdrawals there. Now I'm still playing it, and so far I haven't made a withdrawal because the results from the current fauchet are very small. It was different in 2015.
Apart from Bitcoin faucet, there were also faucet for Bitcoin and Dogecoin.
Currently it may take a long time to claim Bitcoin from fauchet because we have to collect a lot of Bitcoin first to cover fee transaction
You are right, it was back in 2015 like you said that faucet is worth giving time because then it pays well, but as time goes on it became very small that I presently see it as a waste of time because before one can claim bitcoin from faucet, you must be a patient dog since the transaction fee is something else. These small payouts may be influenced by the ever-increasing price of BTC. And the focus of Freebitco.in is no longer fauchets, but there are several gambling games such as multiples, slots and so on. Maybe the free Bitcoin on the fauchet is just a marketing promotion medium for attracting users to play gambling or multiple BTC on the site. This time, Fauchet is not a good alternative for getting free bitcoins, besides the high transaction fees, the profits obtained are also small, not commensurate with the internet quota and the time we spend. The Fauchet era is over, this time is the era where you own BTC then stake or earn on the exchange and get apr% for a day, a week or a month or even a year.

Yes it used to, this was how I made some free first sets of money in crypto, I made a lot of Bitcoin from faucets by turning them into daily job, I run like 8 different Bitcoin faucets per day and some are minutes and few are hour based claiming, it was very tough but I had no choice, there was nothing I could have done as I was already into Bitcoin but I don't have money to invest.
Few months later I was able to save up to $200 to buy some Bitcoin and that was the best decision I've ever made because the coming year at the time was the next bull market and that saved us from big trouble in the family, there is more to this story and I've already shared it in the past on this forum.
Now faucets are not profitable anymore, they don't even exists anymore, you can find one or two for other altcoins but you can't find for Bitcoin and Ethereum anymore, not even Dogecoin, man I made a lot of Doge coins through faucets and still lost them.

It is not at all clear to me how people like you even reached more than Member rank on this forum considering that you constantly write nonsense, you do not know how to use search engines and you live in some parallel world where facts are not facts but fabrications. Given that you say that there are maybe one or two more faucets, why don't you start counting and tell me what the actual number is - of course, these are only those who use FP as a microwallet -> https://faucetpay.io/page/faucet-list

That sounds bad, so we also don't know how much bitcoin they have? including casinos and centralized exchanges also the same? the numbers written on our account are just fake bitcoins? can they use the bitcoins we send them for their needs? As long as there are no major withdrawals on the exchange, no one will know that our bitcoins there have been used. Could that be true?
In past when I used faucets, most faucets were hosted at microwallets like Faucetbox or Faucethub. And most of these faucets were displaying how much ballance is available. Like in this image: So, before claiming you knew that you will receive coins. After claim these coins were sent to your microwallet account. There was hundreds of faucets hosted on most popular microwallets, so claiming from multiple faucets helped to reach payment treshold faster than claiming from single faucets which isn't hosted at microwallet. It's not real Bitcoins and no transactions on Blockchain. It's off-chain transactions inside service. It only becomes real Bitcoin once you request payment from microwallet and they send it to you. Those claims are a total waste of time for me because the amounts are so low. However, it is a free something and free things sometimes don't give us what we need. I know a person that just depends on those kinds of things and he can wait to achieve just those little things he is expecting to get. Maybe it's waste of time, I don't argue, but this isn't what OP asks for. And back in past I made some nice money from faucets, especially with help from referrals. While airdrops, it's completely different thing and shouldn't be mixed with faucets.

In fact, there are still a lot of faucets on Playstore, Faucets are like PTC the only way to increase your earnings is to have a big number of active referrals and there is a market for this, there's also some forums that offer exchange deal for Faucet like in https://www.emoneyspace.com/forum/ So yes, faucets are still alive for newbies who are attracted to free Bitcoin
